Info About 2 Pack Power Strip Surge Protector – 5 Widely Spaced Outlets 3 USB Charging Ports, 1875W/15A with 6Ft Braided Extension Cord, Flat Plug, Overload Surge Protection, Wall Mount for Home Office (Reviews From Amazon)
I bought these because, like everyone else in North America, I don’t have enough power strips, but, more importantly, I don’t have enough USB charging ports. This is a real problem when you have company and everyone asks, “Do you have a charger / charger port that I can use?”.
These power strips are a very unobtrusive black (meaning they don’t shine like the sun and look goofy in your room like a white one would). The woven insulation on the main cord is a very modern looking silver, although woven insulation itself is a bit of throwback to the 40’s (note to those of you living a “Steam Punk” lifestyle who aren’t ready to give up your cell phones).
The two best things about these strips are that there are 3 USB ports, and they provide enough amperage to charge pretty much any USB dependent device. If you’ve ever plugged into a 1 amp charger, you’ll know what I mean. The other thing that is great is that, for some reason, even though we’re well into the 21st Century, some electrical engineers have chosen to put their voltage converters in the plug head itself, thus hogging up a HUGE amount of space on a charger strip.
You’ve probably got one of these right now, where one plug head covers up like three of the plug ins. I’m no electrical engineer, but in my opinion that’s a STUPID design that doesn’t take into account the way the modern world of electronic gadgets works. These power strips have one plug widely separated from the others so you can plug in one of those giant power converters and not hog up three plugins. No doubt the engineer who designed the power strip this way is cheering and clapping his hands that “Finally somebody noticed what I did”.
Bottom line – I’m probably going to buy a couple of more of these, to replace the “obsolete” ones I already have.
I originally got this because of the flat plug and cable length but I really like the USB ports as well. The USB charges my iPhone much faster than the standard 5v USB plugs. I have an Anker PowerCore that charges up to 20W but I find myself using my phone and iPad Pro with the USB on this since I use it at my workstation.
This cable is built solid and works well. Definitely glad I got this cable.
This is a great power strip for the money. I like the longer, braided yet flexible, power cord to accommodate several places of use. So many rechargeable items now, the regular power plugs plus the USB ports are very convenient. The only thing I would change is the indicator light on the surge protector is small and hard to see during daylight hours – either a brighter or a larger and brighter light would be a nice feature as I power unused strips off.
Bought these to replace a surge protector that was fried during a storm. Hoping these work and protect my electronics just as well. These have a nice thick cord and a flatter plug to fit easier behind furniture. Love them so far and the extra space between the outlets let’s me make use of all the outlets if I needed. The USB ports are great for charging my phone and watch overnight . I don’t get the “slow” charging message like with other USB ports. Overall, great purchase, plan to buy some for the kids bedrooms and living room.
I hing these on the wall in my tiny house in the kitchen, above the counter. They work really well and being as slim as they are, it doesn’t impede my access to counter space. Overall was a really good purchase. They are sturdy but lightweight, the holes on the back fit standard thumbtacks, and the usb ports are super convenient.
I do wish the cord was a little bit longer, but it dies meet our needs.
10/10 will buy again.
I bought these to adhere to inconspicuous places on my side tables and under my cabinets (used command strips to adhere) to leave as charging or plug ins for various appliances for easy access and everyone can charge or plug in electrical items as they see fit without standing on their heads to use an outlet behind a sofa, etc. liked the fact that it also provided surge protection.
Great for around the house and the kids rooms instead of buying the power bricks for every single item you get that dosnt come with one anymore. Love the long cord because It can reach where I need it to go.
These power strips are perfectly designed for a home filled with technology and the accompanying chargers, transformers, and assorted accessories.
Great number of 110V outlets, including one spaced away from the others for that one huge plug. Nice USB array, also. Great for tucking behind your monitor on your desktop. Solid materials, good cord
This 2 pk power strips work well . I wasnin need of a new power strip when I saw these on Prime Day and grabbed them fast . They are sturdy and have 5 plugs and 3 sub ports and a long sturdy cord to plug it in the wall . Now I can plug an item or items and charge another all at the same time . No problems and very happy with product.
