Could be! I wound up returning them because it wasn’t what I was looking for while hiking but for the beach or a float trip it’s an expensive option. Think heavy duty Ziploc bag with a waist strap. It’s that thick polyurethane material but a very simple Ziploc bag type design

I’m not sure if it would be perfect for surfing. It has three ziplock layers and folds secure with Velcro. So it would depend on your diligence to make the seal work. The strap would be good for around your waist or sling over a shoulder.

I was able to adjust the strap to fit a 36 in waist. Pull the strap thru the adjustment piece that is in the middle of the strap.

A GoPro might fit, but if it does it a would be a tight squeeze and could impact your ability to roll the top. But honestly, I don’t see the point in it. The pouches are too opaque to shoot through. If your GoPro is waterproof, you don’t need the pouch.

Well, not really, it saved my phone the 2 times we went on a kayak recently. Both times I tipped over, both times it was on my waist and both times the interior and my phone were bone dry. That’s all I can ask for. So far it has held up, no tears or damage.

We bought these to take on a cruise, hoping to wear them in the ocean to keep our belongings close by. WHAT A GREAT PURCHASE! We procrastinated & didn’t do the “paper towel test” that is recommended to check the seal, but they still prevailed without a doubt! So happy to have these on hand for many trips to come.

I was a bit skeptical, but these actually work. I first tested them out by putting a piece of kleenex inside and submerging the in a sink full of water for a few hours. The kleenex came out perfectly dry. Next I tried it when I took my daughter to the pool. Still not completely trusting it would work, I put my car key fob and phone in a ziploc bag before sealing it in the pouch. After two hours in the pool, everything came out dry. The only thing is you need to make sure to completely dry off the pouch before opening it or water from outside the pouch will get your stuff wet when you take it out.

The pouch did have a tendency to float up while I was wearing it. I pulled my rash guard over it and that kept it from floating up. Next time I will make sure to squeeze out as much air as possible before sealing the bag.

So, let me start by saying that I was really skeptical about this product but I wanted to try it out. I place my phone (iPhone 7plus), in another water proof pouch, then placed it inside the AiRun because I was not sure how this product would work yet no need to mess up my phone! I also placed my ID, money ear buds and some other nick nacks in the pouch. I wanted to do my part so I made sure each closure (3) was closed tight then I folded them in and close with the final closure. I went to the beach and got into the water with really rough waves then I went to the pool and stayed in the water submerged for about 1.5 hours and EVERYTHING was completely dry!! I was so excited. Two thumbs up!!!

We had 1 wallet and 2 phones in one of the 2 pouches we purchased for about one hour in the water and everything was totally dry when we were done. One thing I would say that can be improved is the belt. If your a little round around your tummy area 😉 it’s not adjustable for us people who carry a little more in that area. Lol 😆

I took these to Mexico for a two-week trip that was almost entirely outdoors with lots of water (beach, snorkeling, cenotes, catamaran, pool, occasional torrential downpour that caught us by surprise). They kept everything completely dry and were very useful in general. I lived through the first round of fanny packs in the 1980s and was hesitant to get anything that looked like a fanny pack, but these sit nicely towards the side of the hip and are not unflattering. I’m very glad I purchased these and plan to use them for all beach trips.
