maybe 0.75"-1" space, but beware that a heavy tv will force this bracket to lean forward. You will have a significant amount of forward tilt with a large tv. As an owner of this bracket, i do not recommend it
foot, foot and a half
My TV hits the wall and probably only rotates 90 degrees but the mount itself could go further.
Yes
Yes, It comes with everything needed to attach the tv to it and all screws needed to mount it on the wall
about 12"
I think it should work with any flat screen television….
I don’t know specifically if it will fit your TV, but it fit my 60 inch just fine and it seems to be very configurable on a bunch of different mounting patterns
Google Samsung tv specs to check its VESA pattern e.g. 100 by 100 and weight then match to this. Kit comes with hardware for range of sizes.
The mount measures 20" in length by 10" in high. This unit has a very small foot print. Best if you find at least one stud. If not, using proper drywall screw in type wall anchors will be good.
That would be either 100×100 or 200×200 VESA so this mount would be perfect for you.
If you have studs available great, use the lag bolt. If not, go out and get good drywall anchors then install (I liked the ones that look like cork screw).
Yes, with set screws to lock it in place . .

As good as mounts costing $100 or more.
Easy to install – was able to install and mount my 37" TV without any help. Larger TVs may require a second person.
The unit mounts vertically on a wall stud – finding the stud is the only challenge. Since wall outlets are nailed to a stud, I located a stud by drilling 1" inch or so from a wall plug. To insure the wall plate is level, add the top screw; level, then bottom screw. Middle screw last.
The instructions on determining the height are overly complicated. Since the TV is mounted next to a standing height work table, I measured my standing eye height, then subtracted the offset (mounting plate was 2" off center of TV) then aligned the center of the mount with that height.
I used the PowerBridge in-wall cable system to hide cable runs.
This is a well engineered, high quality TV mount. The metal parts move smoothly, have no play and the powder black finish looks nice. I was impressed with the quality and ease of installation. You can set the swing arm tension so there is a smooth and even resistance, and the TV stays put. One important detail that every DIY installer would want to know is, how do I connect the TV to the wall bracket, or do I put it all together (TV and all) then try to mount it on the wall? Do I need a buddy to hold up the whole thing for the final install? Surprisingly this detail is missing from most product descriptions. This one at least, you can install easily by yourself, because the backing plate which screws on to the back of your TV, will slide in easily and hang securely from the wall bracket arm. You can then install the screws to secure the connection. You don’t need to hold up the TV end while you do this. It’s quite well thought out.
Amazon is the man! This is a quality wall mount for a great price! I was worried it might be cheap or feel inadequate. No dice! This thing is legit. It is fully articulated, so it moves in just about any way you’d want up/down, side/side, tilt, it provides plenty of viewing angles. It is also very well built. It is solid metal with heavy duty hinges. It’s not messing around, this mount means business. Installation was relatively painless, it does help to have a second person for when you are trying to center/level the mount, and the step of hanging the TV, but one person could definitely swing it if you were feeling frisky. Don’t be scared by the price. This is not junk. It isn’t going to break the first time you look at the TV funny. It’s a serious wall mount for an unbeatable price.
First of all, I am reviewing the “AmazonBasics Longer Extension Dual Arm Full Motion TV Mount, 37-Inch to 80-Inch”. The way that Amazon lumps a dozen different versions of the same thing into one listing and then lumps all of the reviews together is pretty bad.
This TV mount is very sturdy and tight. I mounted a 50″ 4k LG television on it that I am going to use as a teleconference monitor. I wanted it to be a long-arm mount so that I could swing it toward my desk and use it as a television / monitor from my desk. The arms aren’t quite long enough to let it turn a full 90 degrees from the wall, but it’s close enough for me. In the pictures you see I have it turned as far as it will go toward where my desk will be.
When it is collapsed all the way against the wall it is 7.5″ deep, from the wall to the front of the television with my 50″ LG.
This has been a surprisingly solid mount although I must say it was a bit difficult to set up even though I had a standard 400 x 400 vesa pattern on my Samsung 50inch 4K UHDTV (UN50KU6300 to be exact).
Pros:
-Ablility to use it on only 1 stud if need be
-Offers full motion and tilt in a very compact design and at half the price of competitors options
-Very versatile with many different screws and spacers included it should fit almost anything in its size range
Cons:
-Somewhat obscure/confusing instructions. Amazon seems to have gone kinda Ikea style with the instruction manual. There was almost no verbiage describing the different diagrams and it’s was very unclear which screws corresponded with which mounting types.
-No documentation related to specific TV brands. It would have been very helpful if Amazon provided something like a guide to the most common screws/spacer combinations for the major TV brands or sizes so you didn’t have to just guess and try diff ones over and over again.
-Cable Management seems to have been an afterthought. All they provided was a small u-shaped plastic thing that I guess was supposed to wrap around all your cables and then hang there I guess??
Overall given that I only payed $20 for this mount I can’t complain too much although I must say I was expecting set up to be a little more intuitive just based on the fact this was an Amazon-made product. If you were looking for something cheap and you are trying to minimize the amount of damage to your walls this is not a bad option just be prepared to spend double the amount of time you THINK it should take! 🙂
Great purchase. Would buy again. In fact I am going to buy another one.
First of all, at less than $25, this is a steal compared to other wall mounts at retail stores and other online sellers.
Second, super easy installation. It took me about an hour and fifteen minutes. But it only took me that long because I’m a neat freak, super anal, and neurotic about putting holes in my wall. And also because no one would answer my calls or texts when I called for help attaching my 43 inch TV to the mounted bracket. I had to jury rig a ladder and grow a third arm to do it myself. My friends are bums.
I’m deducting half a star because I don’t like the way the cover attaches to the wall portion of the bracket. As far as I can figure, it doesn’t snap into place. It just hangs there. It looks fine when you carefully cover the arm with the cover, but since it doesn’t snap into place it comes right off when you move the arm. I’ll have to get some double sided tape.
Edit: Never mind. The cover just snaps into place. Derp!
I priced and researched TV mounts for a 65″ flatscreen that would be a part of our major kitchen remodel. I saw some as high at $300+ and was told that I should not trust my TV to anything less expensive than that. When I found this Amazon Basics option I thought it was too good to be true, but the reviews were consistently positive. At this price point, it made sense for me to over-purchase a bit in terms of weight limit. My TV is 50 lbs but I chose the AB mount with a 100 lb capacity.
The mount ships with a collection of clearly marked screws, bolts, and washers to accommodate virtually any installation/attachment scenario. The mounting slot on the main piece that attaches to the wall is wide enough to allow you to get into a stud on both sides even if they are not exactly 16″ apart. I’m a “measure 5 times, drill once” kind of guy and even for me it was a quick install process. I only needed help from my wife to lift and place the TV onto the articulating arms after the mounting tracks were fixed to the back of the TV. I will admit that after the job was done and the TV was floating in the perfect position, she said “I gotta be honest, I didn’t think you would be able to pull this off.” Thanks dear!
Our kitchen layout is such that we sometimes adjust the TV angle for optimal viewing from different locations. The dual arms are built like a tank and the TV moves as needed w/o any fuss or extra play. This is a great buy!!
NOTE: After installation I wanted a way to manage the cable box and wiring behind the tv. I ordered a U-shaped plastic bracket that is designed for this purpose. But then I located a cheap, thin metal bookend and bent it into a U-shape, drilled a couple of holes, and it is a perfect DIY solution.
I was scared to hang our 80 inch that needed to be nearly 90 degrees from the wall. This sturdy, easy to use and move mount has served us for nearly a year now. The only thing limiting it from moving farther out is the corner of the tv hitting the wall, so if you have a smaller tv it could definitely go that far. It is super easy to manipulate, turning side to side, finding a new angle to rid of the glare. Even my five year old can manipulate it. It never pops or creaks, we’ve literally never had a problem. It’s worth the price for sure.
Trashed an old entertainment center after decided to wall mount our TVs. 50" in the living room, 42" in the bedroom. Loved that that kit comes with instructions, a level, and tool.
Step one: figure out how to mount the arms to your TV (Look up the TV manufacturer and product serial number). Once screwed on, set aside.
Step two: figure out where the closest stud is for where you want it.
Step three: drill your holes using the provided paper and a level (use a drill bit bigger than it talks about).
Step four: attach the wall mount to the wall with screws. Get the level out and make sure the arms and mount is completely level.
Step five: loosen (do not remove) the two safety tilt screws and attach your tv to the wall mount (you need two people for this). Get the level, make sure the tv is straight on the mount, then tilt the tv to the desired angle. Tighten the two safety tilt screws.
Step six: tighen all bolts every 2 months.
You are set.
This is a great mount for a fairly lightweight TV. It is supposedly rated for a 60 lb TV, and my 43″ TV only weighs 18 lb. It allows me to pull the TV out from the wall and swivel it about 45 degrees so that I can watch from my desk chair in the corner of the room. Mounting was not too difficult. The mounting screws are quite large and sturdy. You will need to find a sturdy stud to hold this adequately. Some time and fiddling was required to get the TV level in its various possible locations, but not too bad. One puzzlement: it comes with an aesthetic cover that slips over the part of the mount that screws to the wall, hiding the screw heads and the unattractive mounting plate. Take a look at the attached photos. The cover is equipped with top and bottom latching tabs. Unfortunately , the mounting plate does not have spaces to receive those tabs. Suggestion: before mounting the unit to the wall, use a metal file to cut notches in each end of the mounting plate so that the tabs can lock after installation. I did not want to uninstall the unit to cut the notches, so I outfitted the cover with Velcro tape and stuck it into place that way.
