Will this work with Seagate Backup Plus

yes it will

does this work with the regular kendel fire

If you look at the picture with the different types of cables, you will see 2 different Micro B cables. The Kindle Fire uses the USB 2.0 Micro B. This is the USB 3.0 Micro B. So as others have said, It will not fit.

will this cable work on a toshiba canvio portable drive

Since the Toshiba canvio is USB 3.0 I would say yes. I know that my Western Digital Passbook will work with it.

Will it charge my galaxy note 3

It appears that the Galaxy Note 3 uses a USB 3.0 Mini connector, so it should fit and as long as Samsung has done nothing unusual with their charging cable wiring it should work to charge the phone.

Will this cord support quick charge 2.0 for my galaxy S5?

your S5 will ask the charger on the other end for 9Volt "boost" (up from regular 5V in every port) then "QC-2.0" the battery level by 50% in only about 30 minutes.

Will this cord work with my samsung note 3? does it require that i take off my utter case to charge since the end looks thick?

Hi . I bought this cable too for my note 3 . My note has an otter box defender which has a dust cover for the charging port and the charger fits in just fine .

Is this cable only for 3.0 usb or will it also work on 2.0 usb hard drives?

HDD side of the cable is Micro USB 3.0. This connector is larger and incompatible with Micro USB 2.0.

(Get a micro USB 2.0 cable instead.)

Will this work work with my wd ultra 1 tb external hard drive?

Yes, it will work with it. No problem

compatible galaxy tab 3 7.0

According to Samsung website the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 has Connectors: USB 2.0, Micro USB (5V, 2A) so NO, this is not the proper cable. You’d just need the USB A to Micro USB cable. That cable is very popular.

Will this work with the Galaxy S5 phone?

Yes, it’s the reason I bought it. My step son needed this cable for his charger in his car. Also, found that a regular micro USB cable works OK.

Will this work with a wd 4tb easystore

Yes I bought it for my 2 TB external hard drive for a PS4 so it should work just fine

Does this work to charge the samsung galaxy 5 quickly and also, does it work as a data cable.for the sg5? Thanks!

Yes to both questions

is this the correct cable to connect an external dvd player to a laptop?

If your dvd has a usb 3 port it will work

Will this work with western digital mybook external hardrive 4tb ?

I know nothing specific about the the Western Digital mybook. I didn’t buy this for it’s ability as a charger cable, but as a data cable. The cable has all the usual USB capabilities, both data and power. If your device draws power from a USB hub it will work, if you only need USB data, it will work. That’s the be… I know nothing specific about the the Western Digital mybook. I didn’t buy this for it’s ability as a charger cable, but as a data cable. Will this fit a galaxy S5 with an otterbox case?

It should as long as it has the same kind of ports for this to plug into

Info About Amazon Basics USB 3.0 Charger Cable – A-Male to Micro-B – 3 Feet (0.9 Meters), Black (Reviews From Amazon)

Amazing but not for everyday heavy use.

This cable failed at the one year mark, so why am I giving it 5 stars? I used this cable as my everyday cell phone charging cable, which should tell you that it took a lot of flexing and bending. As an engineering student, I was curious about what was inside. After the failure I performed a teardown to find the point of failure and determine how well the cable was made. Overall this cable was engineered ridiculously well. The point of failure was the negative power wire and it was due to excessive flexing. The heavy gauge tinned copper wire was 7-strand. I think a more finely stranded wire for the power wires would have increased its life. Everything was heavily shielded and all wire was stranded tinned copper. The power wires were a very large gauge (no smaller than 21g). All data lines were twisted pair in individually shielded pairs with a stranded line for reinforcement. The terminals had shielded covers that were soldered to the shielding braid from the cable. I could go on.
The point I’m trying to make is these are wonderful cables for a professional environment that should last forever providing there is minimal flexing in its daily use.

I read on some websites that usually when an external HDD keeps disconnecting it’s usually the cable that’s not good enough. In

I have a 2TB WD My Passport Ultra external HDD which kept disconnecting on Windows 10. I tested the external HDD on Win8 and Win7 machines, still kept disconnecting. Luckily, I read on some websites that usually when an external HDD keeps disconnecting it’s usually the cable that’s not good enough. In my case, this happened to be true, the cable that came with my external HDD is TOO cheap and UNRELIABLE. I decided to try this cable and it worked. I don’t care that it’s too thick. It cheap, well made, and works, period. Hope I helped. Shame on you WESTERN DIGITAL, giving your customers crappy cables.

The first AmazonBasics USB cable I’ve tested that was any good.

Originally I thought the quality of this cable was great. It seemed nice and beefy and it felt like it was well made. Then I bought a USB cable tester. I plugged the tester into my Antec 2.1A charger, then tried various cables with my Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, a large and very power hungry tablet. First I tried the Samsung branded cables that came with the tablet and with my phone. They registered 1.7 to 1.8 Amps. Close enough.

I tested several other AmazonBasics cables, a 9-foot USB 3 and two 3-foot USB 2 cables, and they were utter garbage, reading just 0.8 and 0.4 Amps. I was expecting this 3-foot USB 3 cable to be just as bad as the others.

I plugged it in to the tester and the tablet, and checked the reading. 1.50 Amps! Hey, this cable is actually decent! I’m pleasantly surprised!

This cable is thicker and faster than the cable that came with my Western Digital My Book Hard Drive

My laptop computer conked out and died finally after years of faithful use over 16 hours a day. When it died, it took many cords with it including the cords to my speakers and my My Book External Hard Drive. When I say it took the cords with it, I mean that the cords were zapped and stopped working all together.

I needed a replacement cord for my My Book External Hard Drive which I use on a daily basis. I use it for photo storage; video storage; movie storage; and also for daily computer backup’s. I’ve lost data too many times to not perform daily computer backup’s.

The one thing that I hated about the cord that came with the external hard drive was the length. It was not quite long enough to reach from the shelf I keep the hard drive on to the couch where my laptop table is without always being pulled taught and feeling like it was going to break.

When I was faced with buying a new cord for the hard drive, I looked for something longer. I have had a lot of luck with Amazon Basics cables and products in the past, so I decided to try the Amazon Basics brand cable.

This Amazon Basics cable has a six foot cord which is plenty of length for the area that I need the cable to cover. I am happy with the length of the cable. The cable is a USB 3.0 cable but it is backwards compatible with lower capacity USB products. This cable has one USB A Male connector and one Micro B connector.

This cable fits perfectly on my My Book External Hard Drive made by Western Digital. The cable is much thicker than my older cable and feels a lot more durable. The original cable that came with my hard drive was flimsy and always felt like it was going to break when I plugged it in.

The transfer speed of this cable is super fast. It used to take me between 10 hours to do all of my backups which I can now do in 6 hours. The cable transfers single files in real time. The cable works better and is faster than the cable that came with my hard drive originally.

At the end of the day there are lots of brands of cables on the market, but I am extremely happy with this Amazon Basics cable. It’s durable, thick, and fits my device perfectly. I already bought a second one to replace the cable on my other My Book External Hard Drive’s original cable.

Finnally a real USB 3.0 cable that delivers the speed that is supposed to. Not very soft or portable but it does the real job.

I have a Samsung NX1 camera and to transfer using all its speed, I have to use a USB3.0cable. It was not provided with the camera. Instead a standard USB2.0 did the job but I have been trying to find a "real" 3.0 cable since long time. I have bought so many cables and none were genuine 3.0. They did connected, transfer data and charged the camera but not at the max speed that this camera is capable.
Most were cables labeled "Samsung" very well made, soft silicone, and with the blue color on the plug that states for USB3.0 capability and the extended plug size. However the internal pins on the standard USB end (towards the PC), were incomplete without the few extras that were added for the 3.0. Most cables were fake 3.0, delivering at most just as a standard 2.0.
Until…this amazon cable. Wow… this cable is longer, way thicker, not at all something soft or made of silicone. This is like a truck of a cable.
But this cable delivers the standards of a true USB3.0. This is crazy how the NX1 is just transferring many large videos in no time at all. And the Studio feature works instantly. The cable is not very comfortable for transport, but it does delivers.

Great cable, great buy.. but not for small, lightweight items.

It is a solid, thick cable. Appears to be sturdy and well built.

I give it 5 stars but with a note of caution as to how it will be used:

I bought it to use on my portable 2.5 inch external drive. The cable itself, plugged in to the drive, is heavy.. much heavier and stiffer than normal cables. It seems to be "pulling" down from the connector due to the weight of the cable and putting some stress forces on the driver’s connector. So I would say this cable is probably BEST used for permanent installations of larger, heavier items. Also, regarding small, portable hard drives, the cable is so thick if you bump it, it will transfer the movement to the drive.. If it’s on a desk, near the edge, it could fall off. A limp cable would be less -likely to do that. So that is why I suggest this cable for more permanent installations.. Like a heavy NAS or a full sized 3.5 inch external drive. But not for 2.5 drives that are designed to be very lightweight.

That being said, I have no regrets on buying this cable. I may not continue to use it on my little lightweight MiniStation 2.5 inch HDD, but I’ll find something for it to do.

Works with Stratus 2

Very sturdy cable. Most importantly for me it is a great fitting cable for Stratus 2. I was having trouble finding a charging cable that works for charging a Stratus 2 (that was a hand me down gift). Some people have luck with using a micro USB cable but I found it was too loose fitting to change. This cable fits very securely and charges great. As a tip if this cable fits well but your still having trouble charging your Stratus 2, it may be because your power adapter isn’t compatible. The stratus 2 uses an android USB but uses apple’s charging protocol so try switching power adapter to an Apple one or another brand with the proper protocol like anchor. As a side note my new Samsung power adapter seems to be compatible also with this cable and the Stratus 2

No complaints

I ordered this cable because I couldn’t tell for the life of me which of the supposed legit Samsung chargers weren’t fake, because every single one had reviews saying they were fake and others saying they weren’t, on the same product. Since I already had 2 ac adapters I certainly didn’t need any more of those anyway. So when I saw the amazon brand version, I leaped at it because I trust them and figured returns wouldn’t be a problem at least, if it sucked.

It is a bit thick and less pliable than Samsung’s, but that’s just a bonus for me because the reason I had gone through 2 chargers previously was because my cat likes to chew them. My last one had also got so loose that it would fall right out of my phone if I even looked at it wrong, and I often had to wiggle it to get it to maintain the connection. This one is in there nice and firm, so far I have no complaints. It’s longer too, but I like that. I have a Galaxy S5, if it helps.

Perfect replacement cable

I purchased the cable to replace a client’s lost portable hard drive cable.

The length was perfect – not overly long but just enough to run from the top of the computer case where the portable drive resided to the USB 3.0 port on the back of the computer.

And, unlike some cables I’ve seen, this one is thick and sturdy. It should prove quite durable.

Great connector for your external drive.

I bought this to replace the rather flimsy cord that came with my Seagate external drive. Definitely a step up in quality. The plug end that attaches to the drive itself fits very snugly in the drive receptacle, much better than the originally supplied one, which always fit very loosely and easily inadvertently disconnected. Worth the money for the upgrade.
