They aren’t soft and luxurious feeling like pampers sensitive (i dont know about regular pampers), but definitely do the trick. I tried other cheaper brands and they leaked or were stiff.. huge fan 👍🏻
A child age 3 probably a 5 or 6 depending on their weight. Age 4 most likely a 6. Age 5 a 7 would be best.
You get what you pay for. I was using Sam’s Club diapers on my 2 grandsons with no issue. First 2 diapers out of the box of these and the velcro tore off. I’ve had a couple of leakers so now I change them more often and have had no issue. They’re adequate. Not great nor really bad. The price point is why I tried them … You get what you pay for. I feel like the diapers are good quality for donations. They worked well for me.
I think they feel soft, I love these diapers and my daughter’s never gotten a rash with them like she does with other brands.
Many companies offer their own brand of popular everyday items.
We have not used the other brands you mentioned. All I know is my wife (Nana) and daughter (Momma) like these diapers a lot and will not use other brands.
Yes. There is pull up version. Search in size 2T and up.
I am having the same problem…
Yes they are for child
It appears so. I personally have not found diaper packs with a smaller quantity.
You are going to have to take that up with Amazon?
I believe so
Info About Amazon Brand – Mama Bear Gentle Touch Diapers, Hypoallergenic, Size 1, 49 Count (Reviews From Amazon)
This is a comparison review on these vs the original Mama Bear Diapers.
The Gentle Touch are longer and narrower, more comparable to Pampers in size, as where the Original is more comparable to Huggies in size. The Gentle Touch are noticeably thinner and cheaper/flimsy feeling, though still soft. The waist band on the Gentle Touch is also thinner and narrower, as are the leg gussets. And while these do have the pee indicater, the dye used is of lesser quality and turns the whole diaper area blue, rather than just the strip. I’d say the Gentle Touch are most similar to Target’s Up & Up brand, as where I’d compare the Original Mama Bear to Honest Brand.
I had much higher hopes for these, as with them being “gentler” and more sustainable, but unfortunately the quality just isn’t there. All this being said, I have had no leaks and no rashes, so all in all they do what they’re meant to, though I’ll be sticking to the Original Mama Bear diapers, especially as the Originals are just $7 more.
I’ve been using Pampers Swaddlers exclusively for three years. I wanted to send diapers ahead of time to my parents house for thanksgiving so I wouldn’t have to pack them, and Mama Bear was the only brand that had a small enough pack that didn’t require Amazon Fresh to be delivered. So I’m trying these out this week and I am floored by how great they are.
Let me start by saying my first Mama Bear purchase were the diaper pail refills for my diaper genie. Those are the most affordable refills and they’re just as good as the brand name refill because they *are* exactly the same. I know this because the box it ships in literally says “Playtex” on them.
So I was wondering if it would be a similar situation with the diapers and I think there’s a good chance they are in fact made by Pampers. They’re feel the same… equally soft, absorbent, and comfortable on my son as Pampers Swaddlers, they even have the yellow line that turns blue. The only difference is they’re plain white with a Mama Bear logo on the waistband. They have the same message on the package about the absorbent material as Pampers, word for word. The fasteners are a little different but I legit think they’re Pampers, which I wish I had known sooner because I could have saved so much money on diapers over the years.
I guess next I’ll have to try Mama Bear wipes!
The diapers aren’t as thick as a buggies Brand, but any diaper that can hold up overnight on my son that pee so much I deem it an awesome diaper. Even with a fully loaded per diaper in the morning, i haven’t witnessed any gel from the diaper which is excellent!
My photo shows these diapers in the middle of two other brands we use. I like these diapers because they are thin and soft and fairly comparable to swaddlers. The only thing I don’t like is that they seem to sag very easily, which could be a sizing issue (these seem to run a touch larger than our other size 5s) or could be the diaper itself (maybe not as stretchy as they could be?). I prefer the original mama bear diapers over every other diaper we have tried, and after trying these, the original mama bear diapers remain the favorite. On the positive, I have a little one with severe eczema and sensitive skin, and his skin issues around the diaper area seemed to clear up while using these. There was no increase in diaper rash with these either.
I had used Member’s Mark diapers with my 2 year old since she was two months old. I loved them until she got close to 2 and started being a more heavy wetter and they were no longer absorbent enough. I’ve been trying different kinds trying to find a new brand that we love and I came across these. I was excited because they are a great price and seem to be a clean option. I was disappointed when I opened the box to find they are exactly the same as Member’s Mark diapers just with a different print. They even smelled the same. I took side by side photos to show the similarities. The diaper on the left is Member’s Mark (size 4) and the one on the right is Mama Bear (size 5). If you have a younger baby or a baby that is not a heavy wetter these will be great, but I don’t think I will repurchase them for my 2 year old. I will likely start buying them for my six month old though.
Wow I’m impressed! I’ve purchased the regular Mama Bear diapers in the past and recently decided to give the gentle touch version a chance. Reading the current reviews of the product it’s often mentioned how thin these diapers are. Compared to Targets Up and Up brand of diapers (see photo), these are noticeably thinner and very soft. I was surprised how well these diapers hold wetness because of how thin they are. The longest my daughter wore these diapers was about 8 hours overnight, no leaks. What was most impressive to me was that out of every diaper my daughter has worn (Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, Honest, Target) this is the best fitting diaper on her! I’ve never put a diaper on her that fit so perfect. I will definitely be buying this brand again in the future.
I’m actually super pleased with these! We cloth diaper, but use disposables occasionally when we stay with family or on longer car rides. I’ve trialed various brands, and our favorite has been hello bello because our son has a super long body and they fit him well. Another reviewer here had compared these to hello bello so I decided to try a pack since the price is so good, especially with the registry discount. Lo and behold these actually fit him even better! They are not as soft as hello bello, but still plenty soft. The sides are nice and stretchy, and the tabs are suuuper strong. Like other reviews state, the wetness indicator does spread out, but who cares?
The best part is two things: First, they truly are good for sensitive skin. My son has eczema, food allergies, and just overall super sensitive skin and so far he has had no problem with these! They might not work for everyone but for our kiddo they’re good, which is a relief.
Second, they’re pretty dang good at catching poo. IMO, absolutely nothing catches a blowout as well as a cloth diaper, but these are pretty great! We’ve only had one accident but it was the kind no diaper was going to contain, so I don’t blame them.
I think these are our new backup diapers! Definitely give them a try, it’s nice since you can buy a single sleeve to trial before getting a box and the price is really good!
If you are needing to ice your bits after delivery, surgery, etc., to relieve swelling & pain, these make great “perineal” ice packs. Nurses often use this trick for patients just after delivery. They also make great just regular ice packs for any body part.
Search for video instructions online, but here is the gist: Locate the back end with tabs, and pull the material apart at the top of the back, to separate the back material a bit, and open up a pocket. You want to put the ice in between the back material, & all the stuffing. That will leave the absorbent padding on top of the ice. Work the ice down, so you have ice the whole length of the diaper. Then fold down the end with the opening a couple times & secure closed with the diaper tabs. Now you have an ice pack with built in padding, that won’t leak or sweat. The diaper will absorb all the liquid as the ice melts.
I appreciated that these diapers didn’t have any perfume or scent, and they seem good quality. I didn’t test them out for their intended purpose, so can’t comment on how well they do on babies as diapers. But, they are capable of absorbing quite a bit of liquid, and never leaked even after all the ice melted.
I’ve been buying and loving the original Mama Bear diapers, and thought I’d try these since they were less expensive. They are slightly thinner the originals- they remind me of the Up and Up diapers from Target. They’re still pretty soft, and after a week of use we haven’t had any leaks. If the price stays low, I’ll probably keep buying them.
My son is autistic and not potty trained yet. He outgrew size 6 diapers and we didn’t know what to do. We tried goodnites and they leaked TERRIBLY overnight even with changing once in the middle of the night. We also tried pull ups and they were a joke. They’re built very thin in the middle like a swim diaper. My next step was to look into incontinence diapers and I found out that even the smallest size were way too big for him still. Feeling defeated I decided to see if I could find a reliable size 7 diaper. There are very few companies that make a size 7 and the others I had tried (luvs for example) were terrible quality. We decided to give these a try and couldn’t be happier. They fit him perfectly, they hold really well overnight, and they’re a great price. I wish more diaper companies were size inclusive. I’m so thankful we found these! For reference my son is a size 5T and 40lbs and these fit him great with room to grow.
In summary, the diapers have a soft touch, they stay intact and are highly absorbent. They cover babies between 6 and 35 pounds, and come in a variety pack of different sizes. The diapers are leak resistant and offer a more comfortable fit. They are gentle on babies’ skin, making them a great option for cloth diapering.
