They went from $11.99 to $17.99 since june 2019?! They thought nobody would notice? I wouldn’t add them to mine at these prices. Amazon tried to hide my order to obscure this information also.
Is it a bad product, no. Is it a great product, meh. I use them for art towels and that’s all.
Unscented wipes aren’t necessarily for sensitive skin and frequently contain alcohol. Sensitive wipes are usually unscented and alcohol free in addition to having other skin soothing ingredients like aloe or calendula.
They are not biodegradable or sustainable (polyester&polypropolene=plastic fibers&viscose=semi-synthetic mix of pulp, usually from bamboo, and elasticizers). The “fabric” comes from China, too, when they could (granted, at a higher cost/lower profit) get the same stuff from any of dozens of plants that handle thermoplastics etc for textile industries across the US… They have to go to a landfill, as does the packaging (save the plastic top that some plants will recycle.
*Sensitive wipes contain Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract
*Unscented wipes contain Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe extract) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E extract)
Otherwise, the ingredient list is identical. Not sure if the ratios of the other ingredients differ between these two lines.
I haven’t used Kirkland brand wipes, but I really like the amazon brand. I have always been super picky about brands, I would say these are comparable to pampers. Super thin, but not so that they tear. I like them a lot.
I think they got rid of them
No they are not as wet, and they have a chemical smell that water wipes does not have
Each wipe is 6.75″ x 8.75″ (17 x 22 cm) which means v.good.
I use them on my eyes to remove makeup, and I don’t have any issues. They are soft, fragrance free and alcohol free.
The ‘light blue’ wipe packs are unscented and no fragrance. The green/lime green packs are scented with a Fresh Scent. The purple/ lavender packs are for sensitive skin like newborns and are unscented like the blue packs.
These are NOT DESIGNED FOR FLUSHING, and any wipe will RUIN YOUR SEPTIC SYSTEM over time if you do.
Because baby wipes are used to clean up SOLID WASTE, they should be put in the TRASH.
No they’re baby wipes not Lysol
They are separate wipes which come out easily and fully, lifting the next wipe into place.
No, but neither are diapers. Would rather have something that holds up to the mess that isn’t flushable vs having it flushable and not up to the mess.
Yes, these are alcohol free.
Info About Amazon Elements Baby Wipes, Unscented,White 720 Count, Flip-Top Packs (Reviews From Amazon)
So we’ve been ordering these wipes since I got a pack over summer at my baby shower. They were one of the only wipes that didn’t give my sons super sensitive skin a rash. I get a 9 pack once a month and it’s always been the same but this time the packaging looked different, I thought it was just new packaging having a translation for English and Spanish until I noticed the ingredient list changed and added way more ingredients. The old ingredient list only had 10 ingredients, the new ingredient list has 18 ingredients with a bunch of extracts not present in the first ingredient list. Anyways, haven’t tried them yet but I will try to update when I do. My main issue is that I’m a repeat buyer of this product and when I clicked re buy there was no mention of any product changes. Adding photos of the two side by side along with old and new ingredient list. My main draw to the product initially was the short ingredient list, I just didn’t want to spend so much on the water wipes but I guess we’ll see how my sons skin reacts to this new formula. This might come off as petty since I haven’t even tried the new formula but when you find something that works for your kid you don’t want to switch it up especially when so many other products gave him a bad reaction.
So everyone likes a clean rear end or front end. I normally have issues finding a scent free safe alternative to other major brands. Nobody wants infections or irritation on their sensitive parts. I find this product perfect. Sure, they’re not flushable, but I don’t mind tossing them, and taking out the trash, and you shouldn’t either. Pipes can only handle so much. I see a lot of reviews talking about how they had issues with clogged toilets. Well, duh. You shouldn’t flush anything down there like this. Amazon isn’t responsible for your maintenance issues either. Also, these are much bigger than the major brand wipes I used. I’m permanently switching for sure.
I have used Kirkland brand wipes for 12 months. I went to Costco to buy more and they were on back order! I decided to try these wipes. I was willing to entertain the idea these would be “acceptable” until I was able to buy Kirkland brand again.
I am VERY pleasantly surprised that these are super nice, high quality wipes! They are softer / slicker than Kirkland but still just as thick and durable. I am afraid to say it but they are equal if not better than Kirkland brand wipes!! They are less expensive and shipped to your door, you can’t beat it! Well done Amazon! I am impressed!!
These are great for me even though I don’t have a baby. I use them to remove the clay from my face after a clay mask on Sunday mornings so I don’t wash the drain clogging clay into my pipes. I use them in my car before I eat or after I fuel up along with hand sanitizer. I give a pack from my trunk to patients who can’t afford them but have to provide peri-care for a sick loved one. I have a pack in my art room that I use to remove ink from a lino plate and plate glass. So many uses outside of baby needs! I love these and will re-order when I use them all up.
I’ve been using these unscented wipes for almost a year now and I decided it was time to leave my opinion. I am really thankful for the cheaper generic version of products Amazon has been offering. I havent tried many, so I can’t review the Elements line as a whole, but I adore the price and quality of these wipes. I use them for literally everything. My butt, my face, my pits after a workout. Not in that order. I even use them as hand wipes for messy food times and for quick scrubs on things from pet accidents, before I give them a wash. I give a little wipe on my cats fur if she gets herself dirty too. They actually work well for so much! Please don’t hike the price up for these. I have tried many other wipes and I will be perfectly honest. They are not the best, but nowhere near bad quality. They’re fine for my needs. I don’t need a silky, big, thick and excessively moist wipe to do the job. I think these woukd work fine as bum wipes for baby and adult. I have sensitive skin and these don’t bother me at all. Btw, I read somewhere in these comments to store upside down to keep them wet and it definitely works!
I’ve been using these for several months now. Previously used the water wipes by Pampers and prior to that the sensitive ones. I have also use the Huggies wipes. I prefer these to all of them for several reasons. First they have the fliptop packet which this or a refillable tub are ideal. Next they are quite moist and leave no sticky gritty cake film or residue behind. They seem to be primarily water. Lastly the texture of the wipers just right it is soft and fairly thin but Quite sturdy and do not rip tear or fall apart. They hold up quite well and have enough texture on them that they were able to help clean fairly sticky diaper messes. To give a little perspective I have also use them to clean things up off the carpet or if one of my pets unfortunately has some accident or if there is a spell I will use these in combination with carpet cleaner to scrub a little bit.
I was a little hesitant to purchase this brand of baby wipes, as I’ve always used name brand wipes for my baby. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, quantity and durability of this brand. I find them superior to pampers and will continue to purchase them!
One might wonder what there really is to say about a product you use to clean your baby’s poo, but trust me, there’s plenty to say.
We got these wipes because the price is comparable to other big brands, and the delivery is convenient (hello prime!). We have a subscription for this and a few other items, so we get an additional discount (bonus!). I chose this flavor because it is unscented and is MOSTLY water. The wipes are super soft and gentle on sensitive baby butt skin. They’re great for boogers and other baby secretions too and I don’t have to worry about breakouts from perfumes and other unsavory ingredients. The little flip-top packages are handy and stay closed until you re-open it. I would like to see large refill packs as opposed to individual packs simply to cut down on the amount of trash I am discarding. The package is quite noisy but is a great distraction when you’re trying to wipe the bum of an unwilling miniature human. Of all the wipes I’ve tried with my youngest (very poopy) son, I feel like these are the most bang for your buck (especially if you get the subscription discount!).
I have ordered this amazon product for the past three years without any problems but as of last month the two monthly orders have changed product look and apparently ingredients. After use of the new product we noticed a brownish skin discoloration on our child and after a bath it was still there. We took him to the doctor where they were stumped until they used alcohol swabs to remove the “staining” from his skin. It also seems that the wipes turn brown after they are left exposed to dry in the trash. We thought it may be a fluke or caused by the wipe warmer so we removed them from the warmer but continued to have the same issue on the next order of wipes. We have now canceled all further orders and will switch to a reliable product that does not stain our child’s skin.
I’m a first time mom and didn’t realize how many tons and tons of wipes I would need. Then there is the dilemma of the wipe warmer – is it a gimmick? Is it a must have? Is it going to dry out my wipes? Say no more. These Amazon wipes are awesome, not only are they an amazing price, but they have the perfect amount of wetness that you don’t need to consider a wipe warmer. I started out using Honest wipes and baby would cry and wake up during midnight changes. I got these Amazon wipes from my sister and started using them when the Honest ran out – well low and behold no more midnight tears! No need for yet another device aka wipe warmer to take up more space and consume another outlet. These wipes get 5 stars.
In conclusion, Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment protects baby’s delicate skin from the harsh elements, combining a healing lotion with lanolin and skin protectant. The skin protectant is hypoallergenic and water resistant, so it won’t wash away during baths and showers. The lotion locks in moisture to keep baby’s skin hydrated and comfortable.
