Facts About Apple USB-C to Lightning Cable (2 m)

Just bought this charger and noticing my phone getting really hot when it’s charging. Anyone else experienced this?

Charging a battery generates heat. Typically, the quicker it charges the more heat it generates. It’s normal for a device to increase in temperature when charging, especially if doing so rapidly.

That being said, if it’s getting VERY hot while charging that’s typically not a good thing and could damage the device if it gets too hot. Apple cables won’t have this issue — unless there’s an issue with the cable. So if you’re experiencing this, I’d contact Apple Support.

If it’s just slightly warmer, that’s fine and normal. Heavy device use while fast-charging will make the device warmer too, so it’s not a bad idea to avoid heavy use while charging.

Info About Apple USB-C to Lightning Cable (2 m) (Reviews From Amazon)

Seems legit

I already had the 1 meter length USB-C top lighting cable, which is now the only accessory they include with new iPhones. lol The cable works great when on the go or while travelling, and is also still in pristine condition, but it’s so short when I’m in bed and I just could not. I bought an Anker 2 meter cable, but it’s now acting up.

So I bought this 2 meter long one delivered next day. The packaging definitely feels legit and not at all a knockoff. It even has the little tear off thing outside the box

As for the actual cable itself however, tbh I’m not quite sure about. I’m holding up both as we speak and this new longer cable seems really thick and less flexible than the shorter one. Like I can bend the shorter one, but I’m kinda scared I might break this new cable if I even twist my phone while it’s plugged in. The new cable feels like the same thickness, mass and density as the USB-C to USB-C cable that came with my MacBook Pro, but the old one feels just like any regular iPhone cable.

Idk. Obviously if the the packaging is legit, then the product inside is also legit? But I literally am holding both right now with both hands and there’s just something off about my new longer cable.

Regardless, it works as intended and now I don’t feel like my neck is about to break while using it in bed. It charges with the quick charge/power delivery mechanism. And right more my mindset is that maybe, this cable is actually more durable, just like the one for the MBP. So I think I’m still fully satisfied overall and would still recommend this to anyone who needs it. I don’t care if it’s really OEM, as long as it works as intended, and lasts longer than the aftermarket lightning to USB-C cable.

It works!

My daughter hasn’t been the nicest to her Ipad’s charging port. All my third party cords did not charge her Ipad anymore even though they work for my sons Iphone. I decided to get this cord before I shell out the cash for a new Ipad and this cord works, it hasn’t skipped a beat. She’s now happy, and I’m happy I don’t have to shell out $500 for another ipad.

Great, but made my Brother loose HIS gift

After my sister-in-law complained that her phone charged slow with other cables; I knew that a premium cable from Amazon was to be her Christmas gift. When we opened our gifts, my Brother opened his gift first and found that Santa gave him a powerful portable phone battery for his new Android. She opened hers, and then grabbed her husband’s new gift and started to charge her iPhone. With a deadpan, straight face, she turned to me and said: “now that are you giving your Brother?”
I had to quickly go to the back and re-tag another battery intended for someone else, and re-give my Brother HIS battery. Thank goodness for 2-day shipping to replace the purloined gift.
After an hour of a great Christmas visit; she was surprised that her phone went from 30% to 90% due to using the USB C connection on both the battery and the new cable!
Great cable…if fact it was too Great.

A Little Pricey But Worth It

When you need a durable cable that you can use the phone while charging, this is the one to get. At 2 meters long, it gives the user plenty of working room to get those last minute tasks completed while sneaking in a final charge for the day or night. This cord is very well made. Both connectors are affixed to the cord with heavy duty ends. Very impressive.

Fastest charging cable

It’s long enough to charge from a far and it chargers fast

Solid Charger

Good quality charger. Seems great, no complaints! Arrived quickly as well!

What else to say it’s Apple

I have a MacBook Pro and a iPhone/iPod. I wanted to have a cord to sync my devices. Now that it’s all Apple no third party connectors or adapters. It works like a dream only Apple can make.

Same as from the Apple store

Works well so far, my phone charges nicely

Worth the money

After buying other brands and being frustrated with how long it took to charge my iPhone, I decided to spend the extra money and try this one. What a difference! It charges in less than half the time – so worth it!

It’s worth getting the Apple cable

I have a new iPad and my old non apple charging cable would show a charge when first plugged in and it then changed to Not Charging statement, I used the Apple cable it is fixed the issue,
