I have not had any problems with mine. Troubleshooting tips are:
1 make sure the watch backing fits in well of charger listen for ping and look for lightning bolt on face of watch.

3 plug the usb into a charger that has a plug and then into the wall.
4 After trying all that sounds like I would assume you have a defective charger.

It looks like my genuine Apple charger. Hard to say without seeing it in real life. Does it say it is?

I purchased the 1m and is doing the job just fine.

I didn’t exactly want to buy a new charger, but my original was stolen when someone broke into my car. This one is actually much nicer and heavy duty. The magnet is much stronger, so my watch doesn’t fall off like it did with the original from apple. They must have improved the design. I recommend this charger.

It’s got the Apple price-tag, so I can’t exactly says it has a good price, but every other product had reports of all sorts of problems, including damaging Apple Watches. If an Apple charger damages your watch, just go to the Apple Store and complain. If a third party product damages your watch, you’re SOL.

Nice, metal housing version from Apple, otherwise identical to the 1M charger cable (plastic housing) that came with my 2021 Apple Watch Series 6. Charges fine, fits nicely into the Elago W3 and W4 charging stands.

FOR THOSE WHO DID NOT RECEIVE AN APPLE PRODUCT, you received either a counterfeit, OR Amazon substituted another manufacturer’s product by mistake (it happens, particularly when someone is SPOOFING Apple’s packaging so egregiously). In either case, a return should be authorized and well advised. You didn’t receive what you ordered (an Apple manufactured accessory), and warranty coverage would not be the same. Don’t post negative reviews for a product if you were sent a counterfeit.

Have this to my daughter for Christmas with the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch actually comes with one so she is using this as another one in the living room so she can charge it more often.
The price on amazon for Thai is the same as it is at apple so not necessarily a good deal.

I purchased this Apple Watch charger to actually be my back up charger to use at work when/if my watch was running low on battery. I LOVE my Apple Series 6 Watch but I hate how quickly it’s battery is depleted. My Garmin vivosport would last me for 4-5 days between charges so I’m hating on this battery life. That being said, the charger recharges the watch within 30-45 mins. I put the watch on the charger at about 23:30 when the battery was at 2%. As you can see from the pics it’s 38 mins later and the watch is almost fully charged. This is a great charging cable! And YES the product came quickly (I want to say the same day I ordered it or the next day), and it was a true Apple product in original Apple packaging.

Genuine Apple Product. Very happy. I bought for new watch that was a Christmas 2019 present. Works so far, no issues. Listed price is same as Apple website but Amazon discounted $6. Guessing it was just an overstock bulk buy for seller since the charger I got with my watch has a white ring around the base and this one has a metal ring. Product arrived in original packaging with no signs indicating prior use on the charger itself or packaging. I’d buy again if/when needed.

I had bought one of those cords with a ‘Y’ in it that charges your iphone and Apple watch with one cord, so I needed one less charger and cord laying around instead of using two separate charges and cords.
I noticed that the ‘Y’ cord’s magnetic charger for my apple watch and my watch got warmer with overnight charging than either the watch or the charger that came with my watch did from the get-go, but it didn’t seem excessive, so I let it go.
The watch-charging part of the ‘Y’ cord quit charging my watch last week while I was on vacation, so I ordered the “real deal” charger cord that charges just the watch. and guess what? It doesn’t get warm nor does my watch.
I miss the one-charger-cord-for-both, but I can’t help but wonder if there isn’t some reason that Apple doesn’t make one – yet, at least. In the meantime, I’ll stick with this Apple version and ignore the part of me that wishes for a single charger cord for both.
It seems pricey for what it is, but, assuming it lasts, and perhaps, because of running cooler, it may make the watch battery last longer. It’s just speculation on my part for now, but it sure runs cooler.

I wanted to save a few bucks on my Apple Watch charger so purchased a generic charger. The first thing I noticed was how hot the watch got when charging. It also took a lot longer to charge. It did not fit as well and the magnet wasn’t as strong. It did work for the first two or three months, then the watch wouldn’t charge at all. So I purchased the Apple brand charger from Amazon and I’m happy I did. The watch went from a dead battery to completely charged in less than two hours, as opposed to it taking about six hours with the generic charger. Learned my lesson–it’s Apple brand from now on!

Travel??? Really? They only have 1 charger. So of course it is perfect for travel. I have bought cheaper versions, WHAT A MISTAKE! They get very hot and sometimes don’t even charge.
On the Apple Watch buy APPLE charger!
I have 4 IPads, Two 12 IPhones and 2 apple watches. I have various non apple chargers for the other equipment. Right this second, running the iPad off an Amazon basic cord and a battery pack, can’t do that with the Watch!
