I cant answer why there is conflicting information, however, I bought this and immediately returned because it is dangerous due to choking hazards (a sewn on button for example). This product would never be sold in stores for a child under 3 years. Avoid if you plan on giving to someone in this age group, especially an infant.

Hi, there have two crinkle papers hiding in the pages, so the book actually crinkle when you move the pages around.

This book is developmental appropriate for newborns and appears to be very well made. I love that it’s made with a young baby’s vision and concentration levels in mind instead of trying to be cutesy/entertaining for, let’s face it, the adult’s benefit. It took me a while to find this book and I really didn’t see any other soft books that were similar enough to serve as a replacement. So glad I was able to get one when they restocked!

Overall I like this book very much and think it will be good for my infant grandchild. However, I immediately cut off the red plastic button sewn onto the last page of the book. I may do the same with the little panda attached by string on page 1. I don’t think this would pass safety standards in the U.S. It is still a nice book without these features. Another buyer took a photo of this page, but I did not notice it before my purchase.

I absolutely love this gift idea for a child. I am an optometrist, and the idea of this book was exciting. It’s got great, high contrast patterns for new born and young children, which aid in proper visual development. It’s also got different textures and some of the pages crinkle, which babies love. I got this gift for my niece and my best friend’s child as Christmas gifts. I love it and highly recommend it.

My newborn absolutely loves this book. Newborns see contrast rather than detail – this book held his attention briefly starting at around 2 weeks old. We are still using it at 6 weeks. It’s very durable, can be thrown in the washing machine. Has a soft crinkle to it and interesting pages. Developmentally appropriate and lots of ways to use from newborn up – use to encourage gaze, visual tracking, tactile / grasp, discuss colors and shapes, distract in the car, etc. Great buy and I’m sure we’ll get a ton of use from it for at least a few months.

This book is fantastic! Baby holds it easily and loves its loud crinkle. No words, just activities, and it is exactly what you see in tee images above.

This doesn’t come with washing instructions, so I just use a damp cloth to wipe it down.

While my husband thinks this gift was for me more than for our daughter, I think she loves this book. While there are no words, she really enjoys touching the pages and playing with all the moving parts.

My 2 month old and my 2 year old both love these books! The colors are stimulating for the baby and she likes to touch them to make them crinkle. My 2 year old likes to name the shapes and colors and the squeaker in the animal book. It’s a win-win!

Ordered this to help with tummy time and it’s been great! Baby is much more interested in this book than another soft book we received during baby shower. I believe it’s just easier for her to see due to the black white and primary colors. Definitely a great purchase!

I am very impressed with the actual quality of this material. The button on the back can be a choking hazard so you can remove that or choose to only use the book while supervised closely. I still LOVE this book. My daughter rolled over for the first time for this dang thing. She lights up when she sees it and it keeps her entertained for a long time. She’s 5 months. We’ve had it for about 2 months.

My daughter was about 4 months when I got this for her and omg, she went bananas the second I gave it to her. She LOVES the back and front because they crinkle. She loves every page. The first time she scooted, it was to get to this book.
