The PTM95 machine has a added Deco Mode pattern. It has 8 stylish patterns like Happy Birthday and other custom style designs. The other two machines do not have this feature.

The Brother PTM95 label machine works with 4 AAA alkaline batteries. A charge is not included with the purchase of the product.
Unfortunately the Brother PTM95 machine does not have a background light, however, you can adjust the contrast of the LCD.

I bought this after reading about the battery issues, and thought to myself – this could be an easy hack-fix. I was right 😁…
Warning: doing this will definitely void the warranty, and definitely will make this printer extremely awesome…
I just soldered a “female jack” to the printer, and use a 5v charger (a common usb type with the plug replaced by a “male jack”).
And it works great!
This is a little gem I got on sale to help organize my craft room fabric scraps for work. Prints clearly and cuts evenly. Don’t be intimidated by all the instructional and inserts they include.. just ignore them so you’re not overwhelmed like I was at first glance. Just put ALKALINE batteries in (4 AAA.. cannot use batteries that aren’t alkakine.. itll just turn off when u press print), and put the included tape in and voila. Works easy peasy.
Hi. I found this to be an excellent, cost effective label maker. Unfortunately, I also experienced receiving multiple “low battery warning” messages, even after replacing batteries with new batteries multiple times. I contacted Amazon Customer Service and they were most helpful with diagnosing the problem and offering corrective action steps. Here’s what we found that worked:
1. Remove and replace the batteries with new batteries.
2. Press and hold the power button for 25 seconds.
3. Release the power button, then unit should power on.
4. Print a test label.
5. Wait 30 seconds. Should not receive any warning messages.
6. Print another test label.
7. Wait 30 seconds. Should not receive any warning messages.
8. Print 3rd test label. Should not receive any warning messages. Problem solved.
If experience additional warning messages, go back, press & hold power on button for 30 seconds.
My problem solved. Saved a return back to Amazon. Thanks to Paul at Amazon Customer Service.
This is a very nice little label maker. The label print quality is excellent. The size is fairly small so it does not take up a ton of space. This is a pro and a con. The pro is small for storage and travel. The con is that this necessitates a smaller keyboard and less area on the keyboard to print secondary symbols. For example, this printer has the capability to print many pictograph type symbols such as a phone pictograph. However, to do this, you have to hit the “Symbol” button and then put in a code. The code for a phone pictograph is A7. You cannot see these codes on the keyboard or the LCD screen, you must look them up in the manual provided, so you better keep the manual or there is no way to do these pictographs. They are a nice feature.
I really like and appreciate that this printer supports printing on two lines. For example, you can print a label with your name on the top line and your phone and or email on the bottom line. Not all label printers do this and it really can help make your labels more compact.
I noticed many complaints about battery consumption. I have used numerous label makers and this is common to all of them – I think printing the labels consumes a lot of energy so just expect that.
All in all, a very nice little label maker, just save the manual if you want to take advantage of the pictograph
I wanted to try this for decorating my Instax mini pictures. Not disappointed one bit! It’s great for the $11 I splurged on it (“like new”). I am grateful that it arrived with all of the packaged options, like the manual (lol) and the sample b/w label tape. This thing was the most “like new” used item I’ve ever purchased. And I’m a thrifter.
Only 4 stars because the “low battery” warning is a thing that happens, apparently with everyone’s PTM95. It’s more of a threat and annoying inconvenience than anything, especially if you are not bulk producing labels.

As much as I loved my older label maker, this one is sooooo much better. I couldn’t believe all the perks that have been added in just a couple of years. This one has decorative borders, various fonts, and even prints two lines so the label can be read from above or below. All those things and more make this a great help for identifying file folders, crafts, or personalizing items. Colored tape can also be bought to make the labels even more personal. Other ideas for using the labels are sticking on the bottom of knick-knacks to remember who gave them as a gift, for recipe card titles, stick them on potted plants for care instructions, on medicine containers to avoid trying to read small print, put dates and names on the back of pictures, or use them in scrapbooks. The uses are endless! The longer I have my label maker, the more uses I find for it. I hope I never have to be without mine.
I replaced an old P-Touch that I had for 15+ years that no longer worked. I wanted to replace it with the same one. Though eBay had many listings for it, they wanted way too much money. I bought this P-Touch as my replacement, and the cost was economical. It works perfectly. I love how it has design borders that I may choose if I so wish. The only thing I don’t like is that the buttons are much smaller and closer together than my original P-Touch, yet it is the same size. I’ll get use to it. It is a high quality product.
I have an older label maker that I was really tired of. It had issues with jamming and eating up my batteries. I decided to try a new label maker and I’m really glad I did. This one takes 4 AAA batteries (my other one required 4 AA). I love the wide layout it has (vs the vertical one of my other one) and it hasn’t jammed once with the labels (which my other one does all the time!). I’m very happy with my purchase. I’ve attached pictures of the labels I’ve made for my diamond painting containers. Highly recommend.
Easy to follow directions to make different designs. Great product for price! Requires 4 aaa batteries and comes with one roll of white tape to start out with. Would recommend if looking for a simple label maker.

We travel frequently. This means mini bottles filled with my hair products. The only problem is that they’re all white. I don’t want to use my curly products on straight day and vice versa. This is the answer to that! I label little airplane bottles full of my hair products. I actually keep a little kit handy which saves me having to do it right before I need to leave. This thing is great! It has so many uses.
