Just needed a small printer for very basic jobs. Didn’t want anything expensive or with too many bells and whistles, just a wireless connection.

Setup was relatively easy – connecting to phone went by without a hitch. It took a couple tries from my PC but it still wasn’t much of a hassle. For $40 I really can’t complain about anything – if you just want to print on basic paper every now and then, this is really all you’ll need.

I bought an Epson off Amazon previous to this machine and just through it away due to quality and ink costs. Took a gamble on this one because of excellent reviews and I’m super impressed. Its stable, fast, cheap ink and amazing quality!

Just wanted to say a few words about this printer because its a little strange to setup because there is no digital interface. However, the printer does have an IP interface however that works very well. That is the key to getting through the setup. Here is how I set up the machine:

Just follow the instructions up through installing the ink.
Then, press the last button on the printer for the “printer information” sheet to print
Find the ip to the printer.
Put the ip in your browser, press enter.
Turn off the administrator password, use the password “canon” to do so. You will be prompted.
Go into the network settings and set a static ip! This is the most critical aspect.
Set this ip in your printer driver settings instead of the crappy dns record they use that only works half the time.
Install the cell phone app if you wish.

The media could not be loaded.  Once upon a time the CEO, CFO, COO, EVP & the VP of Canon got together to create this terribly horrific printer. They figured “Hey, let’s make this disgraceful Machine to remind folks we ONLY make good CAMERAS”! “Great idea John! Let’s do it!”

And this is the sad story of how this cheap and confusing piece of plastic and metal scraps came to be.

Please don’t buy this printer. Traffic and the media stress us out enough 🙂

If you are looking for an affordable printer to print every once in a while. It comes with one black and one color cardridge. It’s wireless, and I had almost no connectivity issues with Mac and Windows. However, if you are volume printing, I don’t recommend it at all. For ref, the black cardridge that came in the box lasted about 50-60 pages.

I am happy with this printer…so far. My macbook setup was easier and my iphone setup a bit more difficult but after I downloaded the Canon printer app from my applications, I was able to successfully finish the setup. The setup process is accomplished via the web. I have now printed from both my macbook and iphone. The printing process was quick.

Received everything in good order and it works as expected. Doesn’t have any real bells and whistles but for $40 who is complaining? Came with ink so that was nice and I have used the smartphone copy feature multiple times which is very useful. Prints without problems and effectively, I calibrated it and hooked it up without any hiccups, and I can recommend this as a cheap printer. I have gotten burned with issues from cheaper printers and disappointed with the cost effectiveness of more expensive ones for my needs and this fits perfectly in that sweet spot.

EDIT: in less than a year heck less then 8 months I’ve had nothing but issues sadly! When I try to print something it just starts making this extremely loud obnoxious sound and nothing comes out. I try to figure out why I.e give it an alignment (which it won’t let me) ect and nothing. It picks when it wants to print randomly half the time I can’t get it to work now. Which is no bueno for me as I sell online and my buyers anxiously awaits their orders and the only reason I’m so behind is because my printer works when it wants to ?? That’s bogus!! And it’s messing up my money so gotta go!! Again I got this print on a super deal day and only paid 29 dollars for it lol so I guess I got my moneys worth out of it??? Hmm 🤔

For me the printer is extremely easy to set up. I had it set up and printed from my phone in About 5 minutes using the instructions from the canon app and the manual. It comes with a Power cord a free 5 pack of photo paper to try and Free starter ink in black and color. Which is really awesome! Replace ink isn’t too expensive I’ve got some here on amazon for a great deal.

I’ve had the printer for a couple months now and the only cons for me are It prints a little slow, takes a bit longer than expected or that I’m used to from other printers for it to complete the print, and It is slightly loud like other reviews state but that doesn’t really bother me it’s not so loud that you can’t hear anything else. I do wish it was a litttttle bit smaller but now I’m just being picky and needy lol

Overall I am very happy with this purchase. For a great value and the luxury of printing from my phone at home I can get past a little noise. I Highly recommend this for anyone who doesn’t print high quantities of documents but just needs to print when necessary.

I was looking for a wireless printer and finally ran across the Canon TS-302…I downloaded the Canon app to my phone and was able to wirelessly hook up my phone within a few minutes without even using the manual…I then hooked it up to my computer using an A/B USB CABLE that I ordered separately. Everything worked flawlessly and still is…It came with plenty of ink to get started with and I can now HIGHLY RECOMMEND this printer after using and setup…Remember this unit is not a fax or scanner but you can scan and print with your phone… Print cartridges are easily available anywhere but I recommend Amazon as their service is extremely reliable and is always my first go to for anything…

Bought this wireless printer for our motorhome to print from our iPhones while we are traveling. So far it works just fine quality of print is good. Set up was a little difficult for me because I am not tech savvy. The price for this printer was a great price and I would recommend it to anybody.

I’ve been using a 15 year old Dell-branded (Dell 720) Lexmark printer that I bought new in the box about six years ago. It worked well in spite of the Vista driver for it being erased with every Windows 10 update, that is until it finally stopped “communicating” with the desktop computer and other laptops. It died. I got this Canon printer to just slip into the old Lexmark’s place, connected via USB. I’m not up on the modern world of printers so I wasn’t sure what the printer end of the USB cable was that’s been vaguely mentioned for this printer (that isn’t provided). It’s the same old printer cable type as always, as seen in one of my provided pics. You won’t see the back of this thing anywhere else on the internet. The printer comes with ink, some 4×6 photo paper and power cable. USB cable is NOT provided. I set it up with the disc and chose the USB option. I have no interest in it being wireless. The installation process was SLOW as if it was trying to install to a Windows 98 computer instead of Windows 10. But once I got passed that it finally printed the alignment pages. Again, SLOW. It had me worried that this was an abnormally slow printer, but once the printer head alignment was complete and it printed a test page, it zipped right out, no problems. The setup process was tedious but not difficult. There’s a grayscale printing option in the preferences before you print to save on color ink. That option is a must for me. Most things I print don’t need to be in color. I mainly mention that because another review said that option wasn’t available. It’s there and also three options for print quality if you don’t necessarily need it in high quality. I only print auto insurance documents twice a year and the occasional shipping label for holiday gifts or the odd ebay sale (shipping label+packing slip). I just like the convenience of a little document printer being around. Nothing fancy was needed. The ink cartridges seem easily attainable at Walmart or next door at Office Depot at “fairly” reasonable prices. Reasonable as far as ink cartridge prices go…still too expensive. If you need a printer for occasional use, this one should do the job. Read the instructions and be patient during the setup and everything should be fine. I have no doubt that connecting wirelessly should be just as easy. My network was already detected by the printer software and was asking if I’d like to connect. I’ve noticed that the cheaper Amazon stock of this printer runs out quickly but is quickly restocked. Don’t pay $100 for this thing. lol What I’ve always called a “ghetto scan” does not make a scanner. lol
