It wouldn’t pair with my fire stick and had to return .

I’ve said it before; I’ll say it again, this remote is junk. It won’t pair with your system. DO NOT purchase!

I have 2 year old 43" 43LF621U21 REV A.
Looked yours up – same 43" but a newer model. Bet it works perfectly. Key is "Fire TV"

From the on/off button go down to the + sign – that will increase the volume. The – sign below that decreases it.

The back slides off.

Turn the remote back to you. Slide the back facing yourself. Or Remove the cover of the remote control with your fingers after you’ve loosened it with the butter knife.

I have a Toshiba Fire t.v. too. 43" I think. Finally found lost remote – it’s identical to an old fire stick remote. both work. I’d ordered a replacement from Toshiba – they sent a motherboard for a laptop…

If you review products with Alexa, find one that looks like yours, bet its compatible with your t.v. I use both.

The media could not be loaded.  The remote that does the job., and it does it well. In fact, I have purchased two more of these remotes as extra’s because they are so reasonably priced. Kids, dogs, etc., you don’t know how long this replacement item will be available to support the Fire TV, so I think it’s just smart to have a remote that is as good as the original. The only thing that this model remote doesn’t have is support for the voice function, and remote control of external devices like receivers. The buttons have a good feedback click and they feel solid. Apart from the aforementioned difference, blindfolded, you couldn’t tell the difference. I like the price. There is no programming involved, and all you have to do is put in the batteries.

And speaking of the batteries…getting the back cover off to access the battery compartment is a bit challenging. It is very hard to get the cover off unless you know how. I have attached a video for one way to get the cover off easily. I hope you find it helpful.

After my kids lost the original remote that came with my Toshiba Fire TV I had no choice but to order a new remote. This one is exactly like the remote that came with the tv and functions perfectly. I was skeptical when ordering because the price was cheap but I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this product. I did not receive any kind of discount or gift in exchange for my review. This is my honest opinion as a consumer who relies on others’ reviews when deciding what to purchase.

It’s very frustrating when your modern smart TV becomes useless when the remote control disappears! This remote control from Amazon is identical to the original for my Toshiba Fire-TV. Only complaint also applies to the original: the back is extremely hard to slide open to install (or replace) the batteries. This unit arrived without batteries, so have a couple AAA batteries on hand.

I use the TV as my computer monitor.
My original remote gobbles batteries every 2 days.
I had to go to rechargeable batteries.
I’m hoping they last for months in this replacement remote.
I also had to break the case to get the back off of the original remote.
I had to buy this because I feared being stuck in TV mode and being unable to get back online.

Saw original remotes for 80$ on Best Buy. Nope. Can practically buy another TV for that. Took a chance and this is perfect! Only thing missing is the voice activated but we never used that feature anyways.

When the original remote went missing I was hoping that Amazon would have a replacement considering I bought the television from them. Sure enough, the replacement was there, I bought it, and am very happy with the results. The original remote was starting to lose the buttons – they’re rubber and presumably glued on. Well, the glue wore off and the rubber buttons came off. The lower ones were white when I bought it and eventually turned yellow. This new one the buttons are secure and the white ones haven’t turned yellow as of yet. It was easy to adapt to my television and all is well now. About 5 months after losing the old remote I found it so now we have two remotes. One that looks and works better than the original.

You need to look up which Fire TV you have. 43LF621U21 This remote will only work with those models. It does not have voice search but that’s fine. My foster dog chewed up my original remote so I downloaded the Fire TV app and have been using my phone for a remote. The app has voice search so if I absolutely need voice search, I can use my phone. I put batteries in it and it worked instantly, no pairing was needed. All the functions work great. Can’t beat the price! Glad I bought it!

We found our Fire TV original remote was eating a pair of AAA batteries about every month. From online talk, it appears these remotes constantly “talk” to my Alexa devices so the batteries die fast. This remote is IR only, so that doesn’t happen. It basically pairs itself (you need the TV on to do this) and then it’ll function fully after that. Just buy a few of these and you won’t regret it!

I need a new Remote for my Toahiba smart TV bc my 8 month old was constantly throwing it off my bed, and the back piece cracked and couldn’t be used anymore. The batteries kept falling out and it only worked intermittently. I saw the price of 10.48 and that there is no programming required for this remote, simply place new batteries in it and it works right it of the box. I was skeptical about that part but sure enough, it arrived quickly in 2 days, and I was able to immediately use it with my TV! I am so happy and satisfied now. The quality, ease of use, quick delivery and low price CANNOT be beat!! I only put 2 stars on voice recognition bc I haven’t figured out how to pair it yet, but there’s instructions on your TV when you press search. So, overall 5/5 stars in my experience and would definitely recommend to other consumers

Works on my Toshiba Fire TV with no issues. Only leaving a review because when I went to program it I didn’t even need to. As soon as batteries went in (not included) it worked with both my Toshiba tvs as long as I was pointing at it. It does use IR so you need to be in range and sight of the tv or it won’t work
