These hold more liquid / hold it better- no more damp PJs in the morning! Works better than regular swaddlers for my baby.
I say go for the size 5. My girls did the same when they were 22 lbs and I went up a size (to a 5) and it worked.
Swaddlers Overnights are only available in sizes 3-6; however, it may help to know that larger diaper sizes contain more absorbent material. If your little one is leaking overnight in size 2, we recommend using size 3 for rest times. For further assistance, please give us a call at 1-800-726-7377.

Size 5 diapers fit toddlers approx 18 mths to 36 mths depending on their size and weight. Newborns wear Newborn, and switch over to size 1 about a month to 6 weeks, depending how fast they grow.
It is better! We have used them for the last four years he is in size 5, we use their wipes, he is now doing potty training in their pull-ups. I highly recommend the “ Overnight Pampers”, only problem is when we cannot get the diapers.
Until your child meets the recommended ages listed on the bottom of the diaper bag/ box. If baby wets thru pants often, sizing might help. But smaller bags till u what helps. Don’t go based off age. My 2 year old toddler is a giant and has zoomed thru sizes!
I see no reason why not
I get these on over night subscribe and save the packaging has changed, I just got a box last week, there no longer a baby on the box, it says Pampers swaddlers overnights on the box now.
Depends on the weight of the child.
Thank you for your question. Yes, our Swaddlers Overnights feature our Baby Fresh odor masker. If you prefer a fragrance-free option without an odor masker, we recommend Pampers Pure Collection. Info About Diapers Size 3, 116 Count – Pampers Swaddlers Overnights Disposable Baby Diapers, Enormous Pack (Packaging May Vary) (Reviews From Amazon)
I almost didn’t buy these based on reviews saying they are the same as regular pampers BUT as a scientist I remembered that the thing that creates the absorbency is in between the cloth layers. It sucks up the liquid which is why a wet diaper bulges and is so heavy. So I decided to try these and they are AMAZING! We use pampers swaddles during the day and he was peeing through them (well more they reached full capacity so his pee would sneak out the top since he sleeps on his stomach now)…he has not had a single leak with these! I know we are only 4 days in but that tells me they are without a doubt more absorbent than the regular ones. So Pampers is not trying to be sneaky and rebrand its normal diapers as overnight. I’m so glad I bought these and I highly recommend!!
Before I purchased these I saw that in the reviews people mentioned that they were the exact same diaper as the normal swaddlers. That worried me until I remembered that it’s not the outside, it’s the INSIDE. The inside has extra absorbency and it does it so well! We have used these at night for my son for a week now and haven’t had any issues! With the regular swaddlers he would fill his diaper so full that it wouldn’t leak but would actually just soak through the diaper onto his clothes and bed. From night one these haven’t done this at all! He can be in it for 12 hrs at night, pees A TON, and his clothes are perfectly dry in the morning! Very happy with them!

UPDATE 2/28/20: since writing the review our baby is now 9mo and has had 2 minor leaks and I found that it was because the diaper put on crooked or not tight enough (trying to diaper and dress a squirmy 9mo isn’t easy!). But I still think these work really well.
We’ve tried all three lineups of the Pampers brand for overnight protection and would rate them as follows:
1. Overnights (marginally better then the reg Swaddlers)
Our baby would sleep 12-12.5hrs a night without waking up since 8weeks, but around 5mo he started to sleep on his tummy, and that was when the leakage problem became more regular. We tried sizing up on diapers. Still little help. We added a Sposie pad to his bigger diaper. It helped most nights, still had leakage. We’d also point his peepee down. Sometimes he’d sleep on his side and we’d find leakage by the tabs too, which doesn’t have coverage. Because we really like the Pampers Swaddlers fit for him during the day, we thought we tried the Overnights and Pure. We tried all three with the Sposie pad to compare. He doesn’t poop at night, so I can’t attest to overnight pooping.
Thoughts on the OVERNIGHTS: Yes, I agree with other reviewers that they are almost identical to the reg Swaddlers. HOWEVER, it is just when you open the package bc they have been compressed and flattened. I had set aside all three aside to compare and inadvertently discovered that after some time, the Overnights puffed up a little bit and decompressed. They felt thicker and more padded, in an airy way. It was noticeably different from the Swaddlers by now. You can’t tell the difference in the picture but just by touch and feel, they feel like they have more material to absorb than before when they were removed from packaging.
Thoughts on the PURE: We’ve used them before for daytime, but didn’t like how they fit. They run bigger than the Swaddlers. He’d have regular blowouts bc there wouldn’t be a good enough seal despite having a thicker padding. I thought this would be a clear winner bc of how thick these diapers are compared to the reg ones and would better for absorbing pee, but they simply don’t fit well at all and he’d still leak around his inner thighs.
Ultimately, I found that having a pad + sizing up (if your baby is within close range of the next size, otherwise daytime size is ok) + PLACEMENT of diaper are key. Making sure the diaper and pad were high enough and that the pad not peeping out the diaper. The tabs needed to be flushed/flat against one another, without puckering for optimal protection.
The Overnight line worked best for us, then the reg Swaddlers not far behind. The Pure isn’t worth trying again.
We – like most parents – have tried a few different brands of diapers to not only save a little money, but also find something that truly keeps our child dry through the night. Time and time again, we’re reminded to just wake up and realize that Pampers (night time diapers) are the only worry free one’s we have come across. Hope this helps someone else who may be on the fence. Also… If you’re reading this review, chances are, you’re a parent too! Hey, way to go!!! You’re awesome and a little someone(s) looks up to you! Be a good parent! 🙂
We have two boys who are fully potty trained during the daytime, but the nighttime has been a struggle. They unload massive quantities of pee at nighttime and this resulted in everything being soaked in the morning. Usual precautions were taken like no water hours before bedtime, pee before bed, etc. but the standard Huggies and Kirkland (Costco) diapers wouldn’t hold in all that night pee. It was gross and annoying to do pee laundry every single morning.
Switching over to the Pampers nighttime diapers has been a game changer. There hasn’t been a single pee through in the month we have been using these diapers. No more kids soaked in pee and no more morning laundry routine. These have better coverage and better absorbency than standard diapers and are a must for anyone in a similar situation. We never had a problem with our daughter but the boys are pee machines.
Only negative remark about these diapers is they have that Pampers baby power smell which I don’t care for. However, I’ll take the baby power smell over a pee soaked kid any day. Five stars!
I got these because my daughter had been regularly peeing through her diaper overnight. She’s 9 months old, about 18lbs, and she’s in size 3 Kirkland diapers during the day (which she was peeing thru overnight). She’s never peed thru or leaked from her Kirkland diapers before otherwise.
These work perfectly, I sized up and got size 4 in these just for some extra protection, and they don’t look ridiculously huge on her, they just go further up her torso. I’ll probably just size up her regular diapers too once we are done with her current box.
The only thing I notice about these diapers that some people may not like, is they do have a fragrance to them. Doesn’t bother me though, and the diapers don’t seem to be irritating my baby either.
I held one of these size 4 diapers up to a regular size 4 huggies diaper, and they were exactly the same size, height & width. Was interesting to me since I had it in my head for some reason that pampers run a little hit small.
I had been buying these but they’re more expensive so I stopped for a bit and had to reorder. They absolutely work better than reg diapers. My 2 year old boy loves to sleep on his belly and so most of the urine gets concentrated at the front. With regular diapers, his PJs would be soaked or smelled of urine every single morning and these diapers eliminate that issue for us.
Give them a try and see if they work for your situation. To me they are worth the extra $.
We like these for our 18 month old for overnights. He sleeps about 12-13 hours a night, and we’ve only had a leak once or twice. I think those times it was our fault because his shirt was tucked into his diaper and absorbed some of the liquid. He doesn’t get diaper rash. Pampers tend to fit him well, as he has bigger thighs and butt. I do have the same minor complaint as others here- the most recent package we received had a design that was almost indistinguishable from the regular swaddlers. I accidentally used them as daytime diapers for a couple days, not realizing the design was different from the other packages we had received, which were clearly overnights based on the pictures printed on them. For those who are complaining of leaks, I recommend sizing up. My guy usually wears size 5 during the day but we put size 6 overnights on him! Bigger size = more absorbency
I have a 2.5 year old son that likes to drink a A LOT of milk before bed. He started to leak through his regular diapers at night and I was getting tired of having to wash his sheets so often! Since a competitive brand worked for him during the day, I purchased their overnight diapers hoping it would prevent leakage. They were terrible! We used them for 4 nights in a row and every night he leaked out of them. It was worse then using his regular diapers. I looked up overnight diapers on Amazon and decided to try these Pampers. They didn’t look like anything special, no fun design, no obvious extra padding, but they work like a charm! He’s been wearing them nightly for over a week and he hasn’t leaked once! They are definitely super heavy and soaked in the morning when I change him, but no wetness. If you are looking for an overnight diaper that works, I would highly recommend this one. Hopefully I’ll be able to potty train my son soon, but in the meantime, I will definitely be purchasing these again!
My 18 month old started peeing through his diapers and waking me up in the early morning to change him. These diapers solved the problem, he’s back to sleeping through the night.
In conclusion, diapers don’t last forever, and they’re expensive. So it’s best to be prepared. If you can’t afford diapers for your newborn, diapers for your older child, diapers for your incontinent older child, diapers for your incontinent younger child, and diapers for your incontinent older child in March of 2021, you should really consider getting a second job.
