I dont know but I wont buy another epson ever, I was printing a shipping label and the printer auto loaded firmware and said my ink was to low and I ended up having to drive 1 hour the next day to buy a replace cartage, Grrrrrrr I HATE this company, Never again.

I am not sure, but I was able to print 72 pages over a 2 day period before it stopped printing altogether. After I installed the ink, it was only about 80% full instead of 100%.

It seem like a thinner version of ink then the xl version of ink.

Try googling what ink that printer takes and where did you buy that printer from because I’ve never heard of ink called 212-1. I heard of 221 epson ink

To be honest it seems as if when a new printer comes out for them, they stop making the older version of printer. This is my second Epson printer. My last one took 221 and it was the best epson printer they ever made. However, I couldn’t find it after mines broke.

I think the XL last longer than the regular ink cartridge, is just, common sense.

Check settings and make sure it is the Epson XP-4100 series.

only on an off brand site, but generic can ruin your warranty so stick with the manufacture brand. same cost as office supply store and cheaper on Amazon than the local mart store

I don’t know but it said it would work with mine and it didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend buying it.

it is not an generic cartridge it is an Epson, cheaper on Amazon than wal-mart and same price as office depot. and I didn’t have to leave the house to go get it, and it lasts about 500 pages of what I print.

Oldest trick in the tech book…When you buy your printer it asks you to update even haunts you to update later on but don’t do it. In doing so it sets up Epson proprietary ink and will not accept other generic inks…These cartridges arrived today, inserted them, went thru initializing process and no problems….How many prints per cartridge? Don’t know but we will see…..but works as advertised…..

The ink could be darker, but for the price and most printing it’s just fine. The case is just a bit hard to load if you don’t find just the right spot to push. I always have a bit of a struggle each time I change the cartridge. But, I get it done.

Can’t use any other ink for espon printers but I honestly dont mind these. They last a while and the color is normally good. Maybe a little gray near the end but that’s fine with me.

You are sort of a captured customer, having to buy the cartridges from Epson whenever your supply run low. I have tried the refurbished ones. Those did not work so well; got stuck, got smears, stopped working – you name it. So, I am back with the honest-to god Epson products.

it is a very good price, and delivered to home instead of driving around town, using gas, and paying a little higher price. and is not a remanufactured, but an original epson product.

The media could not be loaded.  Pay attention to make sure it’s the same number bought 212 and mine are 202 fits but it won’t print because it’s not the right one but it Came super fast

I got this because I originally bought a 3rd party pack of ink.. all the colors in that pack seem to work wonders expect for the black cart. So I searched again and just decided to pay for the Epson black ink cart. Trust me although it’s not the 2xl size i would rather buy this again then a thrift party ink cart that only prints half the page.

The quality of the ink seems to be good. However, I printed twelve pieces of paper and now the cartridge is half full. (The items I printed were regular text. No images. No big blocks of ink).

Got the Epson WF 2850 for pretty cheap, but I’m not sure it was worth going cheaper. Use it for simple home use, but the ink runs out really quickly and can’t use large cartridges.
