Not sure but you can definitely wash them in the sink in hot soapy water!!

No, it has nothing to hold it in place so it comes right off.

Hi Bennie S,
I haven’t found any information confirming that this toy is really BPA free, so I think you should consider Fisher-Price Baby’s First Blocks, yes, maybe it have a small amount.

Is the lid supposed to snap on or is it supposed to be loose and come off easily? When knocked over, everything falls out.

We’re sorry to hear the lid is not staying on and we’d like the chance to help! Please contact our Consumer Services team for further assistance. You can reach us by phone at 800-432-5437. Support is available Mon.- Fri., 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST.

What is Frustration free packaging?

It came in a box with a simple plastic bag that was not sealed so the toy comes right out. The pieces were not individually wrapped.

Will these blocks fit in the Fisher Price ride on puppy?

I want to believe these blocks WILL fit in the puppy. These blocks are what I believe are the standard size/type that you see in many baby toys that used these shapes blocks. An example is these blocks work perfectly with the ball shaped toy that have the same shapes blocks with it. After looking up what the puppy toy looked like…. now this Nonny & Pop (my husband and I) might need to get one for our granddaughters 1st bday in a couple months!

Simple Playset… Big impact.

Okay, SO… my 7 month old daughter has this thing, where she likes to dunk things out. For example, I’ll fill a bin of toys, and she just takes every toy out and then will put the empty bin over her head.

Point is- the cap on this block set is easily removable, so I will fill the bucket with the blocks, cap it, and put it in front of her. She will take the cap off with no issue then, dunk it all out. It fascinates her.

Adding the shapes into the “cut outs” also catches her interest. It’s something I see her playing with for at least a year. Eventually building up to putting the shapes in the “cut-outs” herself, and then next being able to name the shapes and colors once she starts talking, etc, etc.

Simple play set…Big impact.

Great teaching toy for children or pets!

Bought this as a teaching toy for my pets (birds & rabbit). My birds love to learn and spend time with me this set allows for both. They enjoy putting the appropriate piece in the correct shaped hole. My birds play with this toy under supervision and so far have not damaged them. Of course, I’m sure if I left them out with the birds for extended periods of unsupervised time my birds would be able to damage or destroy them. But for normal supervised play they are a terrific teaching toy for my birds. Also can teach colors as well as shapes with the plastic “blocks!”

One of those learning toys that work generation to generation!

I bought this for my daughter and it became a favorite toy … in the 1980’s! Now I bought it for her daughter (9 months old). She loves playing with the shapes and enjoys dropping them in the basket without the cover (too challenging for right now). But it will eventually be added, as she grows into it and continues using it. Perfect for developing fine motor skills!

Great educational toy

It nice, my son loves playing with it and its educational. But yes i too felt the lid is too loose but maybe its like this so that little ones are able to open it on their own to remove the shape sorters. I liked that they are not sharp or anything which sometimes happens with toys shaped like that. Very safe.

Best investment, for us

When I first bought these, my son was 8 months. Coordination was in the works so not too great at first. Then, he preferred to throw the pieces rather than try to match them. I was getting bummed I bought a toy that we lose all the pieces to before he can actually figure out what is going on. Luckily, with family effort, we have kept the pieces together and my son is now getting better. He plays with it, matching, or just walking around with a piece in his hand. He discovered the handle and carries it from one room to another if he wants. It’s rather darling now. So, no more regrets. Plus, it feels good knowing when I read about toddler development that these types of toys are good for the current and future stages of development. Yay! Mommy win!

Granddaughter’s simplest and most favorite toy!

I gave this to my 10 month old granddaughter in November. She loves to fill and empty it, and to carry the bucket (by the handle) all over the house.
It’s simple and inexpensive, But, she’ll be learning different skills from it for the next two years! She’ll learn colors, shapes, matching, and how to load the (different-shaped) blocks through the correct holes in the lid. This toy is a bargain!

Perfect for little hands

We’ve had these for a few months now and my baby loves knocking over the bucket to make noise, banging the shapes together and on things, and using them as teething toys. She hasn’t figured out how to put them in the right holes yet, but she’s getting there. Such a simple toy, but perfect for motor skills for babies 6 months and up.

Engaging toy

My 8 month old loves this toy. The bright colors are very inviting for play, and the basket is very durable. I find lots of our other toys have been stuffed in there too 🙂 This is very kid friendly, and encourages good motor skills opening the basket and carrying it around as well as placing the correct shapes in their correspondence space.

Love the bucket!

This is a big step up from my Fisher Price shape block puzzle many years ago. My grand-daughter hasn’t grasped that you need to match the shapes for them to go through but she sure bangs them hard enough trying to get them in! She hasn’t broken it yet so I’m happy!

Great affordable learning toy for toddler

I received this as a gift for my son but after my dog chewed most of the pieces I had to buy a replacement because I like this toy very much. It’s cheap and gets the job done. Teaches your little one to sort shapes and colors. Yes the top does come off easily but most toys like this the top comes off. Just be ready for your toddler to get frustrated and start over. We started playing with this months ago but he is only really getting now at around 1 yr old.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Baby’s First Blocks is a cute, interactive toy from Fisher-Price that teaches little ones about color and numbers — and helps them get ready for their first steps. With 10 slide-and-stack shape blocks in a gift box, your child can sort, match, and stack to learn colors, counting, problem solving, and motor skills. Kids can slide the blocks on top of each other, then use the blocks and the base to learn colors and how to stack. The blocks also support early phonics skills. They each come in colors that correspond with the 10 letters of the alphabet, as well as numbers 1 to 10. Baby’s First Blocks is engineered with rounded corners for safety and comfort, and BPA-free.
