Product Description

When it comes to helping you and your baby sleep more peacefully through the night, there are a few things to keep in mind. One is choosing the right kind of baby pillow. Also, getting extra help when it comes to nighttime nasal Kleenex use is key. Your baby’s first line of defense against colds is their nasal passages. But once they turn one year old, their nasal passages grow and mature, usually making it easier for your baby to breathe through the nose. However, this also means that more mucus is produced, which can irritate your baby’s nasal passages. In summary, this FridaBaby Baby Nasal Aspirator NoseFrida the Snotsucker is perfect for babies and toddlers who find it hard to breathe through their noses. This snot sucker allows babies to clear their sinuses so they can breathe properly. The spray comes with a storage bag which makes it easy to carry anywhere. It’s highly recommended for hygienic purposes.

Brand Story

FROM DELIVERY TO BOOGERS, BUTTS AND BEYOND! Frida is the brand that gets parents. That means you. We are not a lifestyle. Far from it. We are a solution-based brand. The 411 of parenting. The who-do-I-call-in-the-middle-of-the-night-cause-my-baby-won’t-stop-screaming brand.

From the Manufacturer

Nosefrida The Snotsucker, the doctor-developed and doctor-recommended nasal aspirator is the new standard in keeping babies naturally snot free. Ingeniously simple Swedish design features a tube that is placed against the nostril (not inside). Parents use their own suction to draw mucus out of their child’s nose. Disposable filters prevent any bacterial transfer. Nosefrida is easy to clean, dishwasher safe, and BPA and Phthalate free. It is superior to the bulb aspirator, presents no risk or harm to internal nasal structures and is dramatically more efficacious.

Facts About FridaBaby Baby Nasal Aspirator NoseFrida the Snotsucker by Frida Baby

What happens if you use this on yourself? Does the universe implode?

it does, in fact. the sky turns orange in mid day, people start marrying dogs, purple tastes like apples, smoking cures cancer, and sugar burns fat. i tried it once, watched the world slowly begin to implode from inside my apartment and the only way to stop it was to send my T1000 back in time to meet up with The Docto… it does, in fact. the sky turns orange in mid day, people start marrying dogs, purple tastes like apples, smoking cures cancer, and sugar burns fat. i tried it once, watched the world slowly begin to implode from inside my apartment and the only way to stop it was to send my T1000 back in time to meet up with The Doctor and get me to stop under threat of not being spanked. trust me on this. DON’T DO IT.

Is there a rule against the law to use it on strangers?

There is a RULE AGAINST THE LAW TO USE IT ON STRANGERS! You know staph infections live and breed inside the nasal cavity, right?
among a host of other unsavories. As a result it can be considered germ warfare. Then, they will come at the suspect with the full power of the law.

When you’re sucking out the boogers does it travel up the tube to your mouth or does it stay in the lil cylinder?

Most of the big stuff stays in the cylinder but not all. There has been times I can tell I sucked some particles of snot from my daughters nose, which ALWAYS caused me to then get sick. I know every time she has a cold and I use this thing on her I almost 99% get the same cold that she had.

How many filters does it come with and how often do they need to be replaced? Also can this be cleaned in the dishwasher? Thanks.

It comes with 3 or 4 additional filters. We’ve had ours for 4 months and have only had to replace the filter once (only replace when snot touches it). The tube that goes in the nose has been washed in our dishwasher but not the long tube for suction.

Can this be used for the new-born?

I had a baby last week and have used it twice!

Does this contain the saline mist?

No it does not, just the nose sucker. There is a saline mist in another set.

Can you catch your baby’s cold when using this product, as colds are spread through airborne droplets?

I believe you can. In my experience, I fought off cold viruses but they came back as I continuously sucked snots from my daughter’s nose. I had a sinus infection for over 1 month the first use and a chest cold for a week the second use. Company claims the filter works against bacteria, but not against viruses. Call… I believe you can. Called the company to ask, transferred to a voicemail with no return of call as of 24 hours. Not impressed. Looking for a new aspirator even though this works, it can wear down a caretaking parent with germs!

Can I buy a replacement cap/part you put the tube in?? I lost ours!😩

We offer 1 free replacement piece for each NoseFrida. Email us at [email protected]

Has anyone had a problem with the thin long tube not wanting to stay attached to the big tube? We got one a few days ago and this keeps happening.

I had that same problem after a few months. I cut a small section off of the tubing (where it appeared to be flared) and the fit was much better.

I see some use it for cats and some can’t. If my cat’s pretty small for an adult, will this work on her?

Since this product is intended for babies and kids, we recommend checking with your veterinarian on this one.

How often are you supposed to change the filter?

I’m not sure what is recommended, but in ours, I change them out after we have been using it for about a week. Does this work on toddlers?

I’m sure it would, as long as you can subdue the toddler enough to hold it in his/her nose.

Are you supposed to cut the filters yourself? I just received a large square, no circular filters.

It should be pre-cut. The circular filters pop out of the square.

Can my baby use this product a lot?

You can use this as much as needed to clear those stubborn boogies!

what is the age limit

There is not one that I know of. It is the least invasive snotsucker out there.. used from a couple weeks to a few years old. Definitely better than having a kids blow their nose until it bleeds or jabbing them with a nasal bulb.

Info About FridaBaby Baby Nasal Aspirator NoseFrida the Snotsucker by Frida Baby (Reviews From Amazon)

It motherfreaking works. Must have item.

If you or someone you know is having a baby. Buy this. It is so much better than the bulbs and it’s so much faster. I’ve included a picture of what I got from my son’s nose just this afternoon

Best and grossest nose sucker I’ve ever used

Absolutely hands down the most effective nose sucker I’ve ever used for my baby. It’s also disgusting so toughen up, anything coming out you, me, and our kids typically is. I had 2 types of nose suckers, both gifts, I’d tried before getting this one and I’ve gotten rid of the others.
My lil’ guy’s first cold was handled much better once we got this. Baby boy hates getting his nose sucked, he fights it every time, but he was showing better attitude and breathing easier after we used it on him. Also use some baby safe saline solution before nose sucking your baby for extra gross double snot removeage.
Heads up, if your baby is sick while you use this, you will get sick as you are breathing in the air and bacteria from inside him. As long as you don’t mind It’s a great nose sucker to use. Plus if breast feeding, once mom gets sick, baby will start getting better because you start producing immunities that go right to baby’s food supply. My son got better before I did once he got me sick.
Also it’s possible to use on yourself, and is a very odd sensation.

Not yucky, despite what you think

Hands down this is one of the best inventions for babies ever. A friend had one on her baby registry years ago and I thought it sounded disgusting. I bought it (a Nosefrida) and she showed me how it worked. In no way does the snot get anywhere near your mouth, ever. It works so much better than those awful bulb things you can buy from the stores or what the hospital sends you home with. It is extremely gentle on the baby’s nose, in fact there is no way it even enters the baby’s nose,
It just rests at the entrance of the nostril. It actually works because you control the amount of vacuum pressure. Every baby needs to breathe through his/her nose to feed without difficulty and this definitely helps. It is super easy to clean and comes with disposable filters (probably any brand’s replacement filter would work).

Best snot sucker EVER!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our Nose Frieda.
Yeah, yeah it’s gross ducking your kids snot but you know what’s worse? A sick, miserable baby.
Our pediatrician even recommended the frieda over those little blue bulbs.
I can duck more junk out and it’s so much easier to clean and sanitize.
There is NO WAY any boogies can get back into your mouth when you use this product. The gross factor Iis just all in your head.
If you have a kid – order this! If you know someone with a kid – order this!

disgusting. It’s really not that bad though

I was hesitant to use this product because the concept is, well, disgusting.

It’s really not that bad though! The snot gets no where near your mouth at all. It doesn’t even get into the tube and stays in the containment area.

We used this on my 3 week old who got a cold from her big brother. At first it was hard to get anything out. The baby has to be very still to get the suction right. I would imagine it would be difficult to use this with just one person. Once you get the suction correct, it’s rather surprising how well this works!

I tried to use this on my sick 3 year old as well but he was too strong to get the right suction. A bulb is easier for him because even if he moves around the bulb can be held tight. Since this just sits at the base of the nose, if there is too much movement it won’t work. I’m not going to deduct any stars because it didn’t work on my son. I can’t take his temperature either and the safety factor of this would be compromised if the design was changed. Just know if you have bigger, strong children, this may not work that well.

Also, do not block the child’s other nostril when using this. It would make their ears pop, which is uncomfortable even for adults.

Overall, great product. I am very happy I found something to use that I don’t need to worry about molding over like the bulbs. If you were hesitant to purchase this due to the gross factor, don’t! It’s great and works amazingly. My sick 3 week old slept 6 hours straight after using it.

Be careful inUse to not Ruin product

I really love this product. My daughter just started hating it out of no where so we bought an electric one, which she still runs from, but tolerates bc it’s got lights and music. This product is definitely still the OG. Just be careful to not confuse the tips of the tube. The pink mouth tip is wider than the tube so if you switch the blue nasal tube with it the blue tube will not fit anymore, basically ruining the product bc the blue tube won’t stay on. Won’t shrink back. I bought a second one for this reason.

Sooo much more effective than a plain bulb aspirator

Pros:
-You control the suction. No trying to squeeze a silly bulb and hope a boogie gets just stuck onto the end of it.
-I’ve also read of moms using their breast pump to connect to the tubing to suction with instead of their mouths because it grossed them out. I don’t know that I’d recommend that, but to reassure you, the snot barely gets about an inch up the tubing when you suck it out of the child’s nose. I can’t imagine that anyone could ever suck hard enough to get snot alllll the way up the blue tube and the plastic tubing.
-light enough to pack in your diaper bag easily.
Cons:
-red mouthpiece comes off so easily…nice for cleaning, but seems the design could’ve been easily better than this.
-Are you inhaling germs/viruses/microbes/etc.? In my totally uneducated opinion: probably, but I choose to take that risk for my babies to be able to breathe better 🤷‍♀️

It literally works in seconds!

I bought this before my baby’s arrival so I could be prepared for that inevitable day when she’d have a stuffy nose. She’s now 11 weeks old and that fateful day has finally come… she has her first cold 🙁

She was miserable the entire day, struggling to eat with a runny nose, when I remembered I had this. At first she didn’t want it near her at all, but she calmed down after a few seconds and that was all I needed to get the bulb to her nose and suck out the contents. Literally seconds and she was breathing clearly again. Seconds. Seconds between misery and a happy baby. It also took seconds to rinse the bulb clean with hot water.

I can’t believe that something so simple is so damn effective. I wish this was around when my older children were babies, as I’m sure it would have saved countless nights. If you’re expecting or know someone who is, get this thing. You’re guaranteed to need it eventually, and it absolutely works.

Saved my Baby!!

We had a suction bulb before and used it when my baby had serious colds and runny nose that she won’t stop crying. I felt so bad for her. My husband said that one of our friends used this so we bought one. I was hesitant using it at first because the whole was too big. It would not be able to enter my baby’s tiny nose. Then I had to “sip” really hard so that her booger would be suctioned. It took several times for me to get a hang of using it. It came with 3 extra filters + the 1 already in the tube. It’s very easy to clean. We first wipe the remains of baby’s boogers on a burp cloth or paper towel then let hot water run over the blue tube & the red rubber where we blow. Our baby cried so hard as we suctioned her nose but it was very helpful. Afterwards, we checked her nose and it was clean 👌🏼

Dang if this isn’t the best

Pre-parenthood I never wanted one of these. What a gross idea, I thought. Then when I was pregnant everyone and their mother (and my baby’s pediatrician) said this was absolutely essential. So I got it.

First things first, since this was important to me—the snot and mucus doesn’t get anywhere near your mouth. In fact usually it doesn’t even get close to the filter. Then the part that goes in baby’s nose pops right off and is super easy to clean.

Second of all, this thing WORKS. And for things I didn’t even expect. My son has pretty major spitting up and often will get curdled milk in his nose (I know, gross) that he can’t get out. Three seconds with this bad boy and he’s totally cleared out. At one point our son spat up so much mucus he had some trouble breathing and being new parents we panicked and called the nurse line. First thing they asked was if we had a Nose Frida. Seriously, this thing is one of very few items I really think are a must with a baby. Also, now that I’m using them, this thing is actually way less gross than a bulb because this is actually easy to clean. With the bulb you never know if it’s actually clean or if it’s all moist and moldy in there, which it probably is. GET IT.
