No this is not made for Cellphone mounting.

We love our Garmin RV770……. until we were doing a cross country trip traveling I-10 thru Huston and the screen would fall off the ball mount. The Garmin mount was not holding the display and would fall off easily when carrying also. I ordered these thinking i would have to glue the ball mount the cradle mount on the bean bag and suction mount.
Was i surprised when i attached the ball to the bracket, kinda hard to get it in and then a VERY VERY secure connection. I’m a happy camper now for the rest of our trip.

So if you have the original bracket which is inferior and a gps that can easil;y come off buy these they are AWESOME.

The original socket adaptor for our GPS broke and these two replacement adaptors fit perfectly. We had a bad habit of separating the GPS by the ball and socket joint, which puts excess stress on the socket adaptor every time you pull them apart. Since this package had two, and we have two GPS mounting mats with the ball end, I put one adaptor on each ball end and will plan on connecting to the GPS by the circular fitting on the back of the casing. This should be more durable, in the long run, for these plastic pieces.

I lost the back bracket for my admittedly old Garmin Nuvi 44 LM so I could no longer use the dash board holder gizmo I have had for years. I was really bummed out, because it was a stupid little accident that led to the back bracket popping out and getting permanently lost in between the edge of the drivers seat and the center console. No matter what I tried, I could not retrieve it. So, I was very pleased when I found this replacement on Amazon for such a great price. I was even more pleased when it was indeed the right part and size, and it arrived quickly.

I love my Garmin(s), only wish their accessories were even a tenth as reliable as their GPS units. So far with ONE GPS I have had to replace the bean bag holder twice and the bracket cradle mount three times. One other 5 year on-going mystery is finding an adapter to charge the unit outside the vehicle. Even the one I ordered from Garmin didn’t work.

This mounting bracket seems identical in quality and function to a Garmin OEM bracket except in one very important feature. All four of the brackets i purchased fit tighter on the suction mount’s ball than the original brackets did. Once you set the position it will not move due to vibration. This is important to me as I occasionally use my Garmin Nuvi on a motorcycle. I used to need to readjust the position every 20 miles or so but no more.

My daughter misplaced this bracket over the years and was unable to use her navigation system in the windshield because of that. I took a chance, based on other reviews, that it would fit her Nuvi 57 and it did!! so happy to have this forum to help me decide when making good choices on purchases I otherwise wouldn’t make. This dual mount kit is a tremendous value for the money,especially if you have two vehicles,as now you can have a mount for each one without having to remove the suction units which give way after being used over and over. Now one can have two mounts and just pop your Garmin GPS on & off leaving the mount in place.
I prefer my Garmin over my phone as it has a larger screen and now I have two adjustable mounts basically for the price of one. Outstanding !!!

It fits the standard Garmin mounts, the one that came with the unit from Garmin did not–the hole was to small for the ball mount to fit in. First thing I have ever gotten from Garmin that did not work as advertised or expected–and I have used Garmin units since 1994.
This little attachment works fine and is an inexpensive upgrade & fix for a Garmin screw up.

Would have liked some instructions on how to press on to ball as it had been 3 years since I purchased the GPS. Would not pressed onto the ball on straight on. Rotated it 180 degrees upside down and it pressed on. Then rotated back and connected the GPS. No issues then, clicked onto GPS and holds the GPS firmly.
