Facts About GPS Dash Mount [Matte Black Dock] for Garmin Nuvi Drive Dezl Drivesmart, Tomtom, Magellan Roadmate, Rand McNally, Navman, Cell Phone – Car Adhesive Non-Slip Dashboard Replacement Holder for Satnav
I do not know specifically about a garmin drive 51. What I do know is that I have large garmin, I believe a 6" screen and an old i4 cell phone and both work in the mount. I did have to make a wedge to mount it on because the slope of my dash cause it to point upward with the glare I could not see it.
It holds my 7” Garmin sideways not vertical
I haves a 2555 also and it works, try it again.
Works for me
It will works well for 3.5-6 inch Garmin GPS, and also 4-6 inch cell phone. Thank you.
Yes. I use one hand to hold the "holder" to the dash while gently lifting the top…while my other hand just lifts the GPS out…
It will hold a Garmin RV760LMT @ 7.4"W x 4.5"H x 0.9"D (snug fit), since yours is smaller it will hold it very nicely. Having said that, I do not like this holder and do not use it. It is still in the car but only because I cannot remove it without damaging the finish of the dash. There are much better holders on Amazo… It will hold a Garmin RV760LMT @ 7.4"W x 4.5"H x 0.9"D (snug fit), since yours is smaller it will hold it very nicely. I don’t know if it’s compatible and you wouldn’t want to purchase this because it doesn’t stick to the dashboard. Purchase another kind of mount because your GPS will be sliding all around the dashboard. Mine is in a closet not being used.
I don’t know because I don’t. Know the dimensions of your GPS. My Old Garmin works just fine.
Yes. Great holder
Yes – you can use it, but you have to figure out some way to secure it to the curved dashboard. My experience is that it takes two hands to easily remove and replace the GPC unit ( in your case an iphone), so it would be very dangerous to try that while driving.
It fits my nuva so I don’t see why not. You just open it up and place your GPS or cell phone in between and holds it perfectly. I love mine.
No …it goes up to 6 inch.
If the dezi looks anything like the Garmin Nuvi, yes it will. The device is quite flexible and can hold many different shaped items securely.
Not 9 inches in height. I tested my iPhone 6Plus vertically and it barely fit.
Hi,
I believe it will. Look at the specs,. it should give you dimensions
The device comes with four double-sided 3 inch foot pads that is peeled off and pressed into place. Once mounted, it’s best to leave there. Because it’s an adhesive some residue can be expected but easily cleaned.
Info About GPS Dash Mount [Matte Black Dock] for Garmin Nuvi Drive Dezl Drivesmart, Tomtom, Magellan Roadmate, Rand McNally, Navman, Cell Phone – Car Adhesive Non-Slip Dashboard Replacement Holder for Satnav (Reviews From Amazon)
I absolutely love this dash mount. It’s been a lifesaver on our move from Texas to Washington. It adjusts easily to accommodate both my Garmin Nuvi GPS and my phone due to the clam design. I like the fact that there are different notches to adjust the angle of the device. I’m glad the inside is rubber so that it doesn’t scratch my devices, and offered a more secure grip.
Mounted this on the dash of a 2015 Mini Cooper Roadster.
Drove about 1,000 miles this past weekend.
Zero issues. And I drive aggressively.
The most imporatnt thing is to follow the directions. Do not think you can shortcut anything.
Surface selection (as flat as possible).
Surface preparation (use the supplied cleaning/drying supplies)
And let it sit for 24 hours before using it.
Fantastic item, perfect for decluttering your dash and opening up your field of view. No more suction cup falling off because of the heat, recommend you place where you want before you remove the tape, and you are set. Collapses when not in use, so you don’t see it. Great item to have, I bought two; one for the GPS, one for the tuner on my truck!! Totally happy!
I have tried several phone holders and they all have there little issues, mainly vibration and if the are at your vents then they heat up your phone in the winter which we all know heat is bad for electronics. I was skeptical about this holder because i use a otter box on my galaxy 7, just the protector series not the big bulky one.
I have been very impressed with this unit for the last couple weeks. I have this stuck down to the mesh part of my dash on my ATS and i really didn’t expect it to stay in place in the cold weather but it has not moved at all. It keeps your phone is a very stable position and does not vibrate. It offers several different angle options to hold your device and easy in and out of putting your device in.
Great bang for you buck on this one.
We have struggled with the dash mount Garmin supplies with their gps units. Now on our 3rd garmin unit and the dashmount from Garmin failed miserably. It was hard to get together every time we used the gps. And now – impossible to mount on the dash. This unit from Epeius is simple and grips the gps will. We’ve used it only twice since it arrived a week ago, and so far, very happy.
I had a Garmin 5 inch GPS that needed mounting. This unit does the job. I haven’t tried to see how hard it is to pull it off but seems secure. It hasn’t fallen off in 2 months of use. Be careful to clean the dash surface first where you will be mounting the holder. I didn’t get the optimum angle to view the GPS, be aware of doing that, but close enough. I used a 36 inch USB cable to plug into the USB12 volt (cigarette lighter) charging port. Looks professional. I think you will be happy with this unit.
This little GPS Dock is a nice piece If you don’t mind a permanent fixture being added to your car . When it is in use it’s spring loaded action holds your GPS device firmly in place . When not in use it closes and is out of your sight line . There is no perfect solution for holding a Garmin , TomTom , or whatever your favorite may be , but this is less troublesome than a bean bag that slides during emergency traffic maneuvers or a suction cup that loses its effectiveness after a few months . As for how durable it is only time will tell , but ” right out of the box ” I am quite pleased with it .
This is exactly as described. I use a Garmin GPS and an Apple I phone 8 with this device. Both fit easily. Installation was simple just peel and stick. It stays in place, looks much nicer on my dash then any of the standard holders. When closed it blends in nicely so in my opinion this device helps against theft. When non professional thieves see a GPS holder in a car they are more likely to break in to steal the GPS they expect to find. This device looks like part of the dash when not in use. I tuck my Garmin into the console when not in use. When using either my phone or GPS they are easy to read from the dash mount, hands free so obeying the law as well. I have tried many holders and this is the only one that fits both devices and it looks great! I am so glad I found this.
I have a cubby space in my center console and wanted to put my Garmin GPS there, but the Garmin holder wouldn’t suction and also made it tighter fit than I liked. I don’t like adhering things to surfaces in my vehicles, so I purchased this holder. Even though it comes with adhesive to secure it in location and I am not using it, it does not move and holds my Garmin GPS perfectly in the location I want it. My Garmin almost looks as if it’s built in to the center console/dash area. Very happy with this product.
I cannot say how easy this might be to remove, as I put this on my dashboard 3 years ago and have never taken it off. Nor gas it fallen off, despite my truck sitting outside in all weather conditions, from -40C to 38C (which is approx from -40F to about 100F). This brings my Garmin Nuvi GPS closer to me, better angles, less glare, and no more suction rings on my windshield glass. I am very happy I bought this.
