How To Delete Quick Launch

Quick Launch is a component of the Microsoft Windows taskbar that allows users to launch apps without entering the Start menu. Next to the Start button is the Quick Launch section.

This function debuted with the release of Microsoft Windows 98. The image below shows three Quick Launch icons sandwiched between the Start button and presently running programs. The Windows Notification Area is located to the far right of the taskbar.

Users can install shortcuts to their favorite apps adjacent to the Start menu button for quick and easy access using the Windows Quick Launch function. When desired, the Quick Launch section can be deactivated or enabled, and program shortcuts can be added or removed.

The Quick Launch toolbar allows PC users to create shortcuts to their most frequently used programs. The Quick Launch Toolbar is one of the components of the Windows Taskbar, which is constantly visible and resides along the whole bottom of the Windows desktop by default.

The Quick Launch toolbar and the Windows Taskbar will be mentioned several times during this course. Please do not confuse them when we refer to them as toolbar and taskbar. First, read our Windows Taskbar tutorial to understand more about the taskbar.

The Quick Launch toolbar has two advantages. For starters, because it is located on the Taskbar, it is constantly visible. If an application’s shortcut icon is on the Quick Launch toolbar, you don’t have to go to the desktop to open it. Second, opening the application is as simple as a single click on a shortcut. When the cursor is over a shortcut icon, descriptive text appears. If you don’t recognize the icon, this can be useful.

The Show Desktop icon is visible in the Quick Launch toolbar. The Show Desktop icon is also shown in the bottom right corner of the taskbar in Windows 7. When you click the Show Desktop icon, all open windows are minimized and the desktop is displayed.

When a new software is installed on your system, it is added to the Programs and Features list. When you wish to uninstall the program, navigate to the Programs and Features menu. So, if you wish to uninstall QuickLaunch, the first option is to do so through Programs and Features.
