But there is something else you can do that’s not very intuitive. it has a volume control. You have to hold down the button that has << or >> to raise or lower the volume. You would think that the button that has the >> would raise the volume like it does on every other device.. But it’s the exact opposite. The button that has << raises the volume and >> lowers the volume.
I was unable to get mine to show anything from 87.7 to 88.1, and 87.7 is almost always an unused frequency.
I purchased mine in November of ’18, may have new updates? Mine works great with the BT on my phone.
It will work with any car that has a 12 volt cigarette lighter and an FM radio. So unless your car is pre-1956 when they standardized the "modern" cigarette lighter socket, you are good to go.
The description as of Aug 2020 says Bluetooth 5.0, for item number "C57" , I search for the pdf manual on Google: "imden c57 bluetooth manual" & the specs says version 5.0
There is a button that once you press cycles through the frequency. Very easy to adjust. I didn’t even look at the manual.

Hold either right or left button.

There is a button on the device with a green phone icon that is pressed to answer the call. In my experience thus far, I’m heard clearly and I can hear what the person is saying clearly. Hope this helps!
It has to have a radio receiver. But if you have a BT speaker, can’t you just pair it directly to your phone or computer…?
There is a mic in this and it pre-empts your phone mic

Info About IMDEN Bluetooth 5.0 FM Transmitter for Car, 3.0 Wireless Bluetooth FM Radio Adapter Music Player FM Transmitter/Car Kit with Hands-Free Calling and 2 USB Ports Charger Support USB Drive (Reviews From Amazon)
This product was well worth the buy! I purchased it because I wanted a Bluetooth transmitter. The USB 3.0 port is a godsend! It charges my phone quickly and efficiently while I stream music via Bluetooth. The other port is used when I have others in the vehicle with me. It’s nice having the two charging ports to work with. The design is modern and sleek too. The base of the product has a band of friction pads to help with unplugging it from the socket. You can even answer your phone while it’s still in your pocket with this product! If you are looking for a Bluetooth transmitter, I recommend you make a slight investment in this wonderful product!
Fantastic product! I was contemplating buying a new stereo for my VW Jetta once my old transmitter started to go. This transmitter saved me hundreds of dollars and sounds great! I also would like to mention that I have been extremely pleased by how quickly it connects with my phone using Bluetooth. I haven’t used the music port yet, but the USB rapid charger has proved to save me a few times when I haven’t charged my phone up the bought before. Great durable transmitter and I couldn’t be happier with it!
The media could not be loaded. Like many have said before me, I was very wary of buying another Bluetooth FM transmitter because of the past experiences I have had with different kinds. But this one seriously exceeds what my expectations were, especially as far as sound quality. (Note: I own a 2001 Toyota 4Runner with stock stereo.)
Sound is crisp and clear, as you can hear in the video (ignore the bass, my phone doesn’t record that too well. But it sounds better than ever in person.)
Super easy to set up and pair, and it stays paired, so it connects automatically when I turn on my truck.
I have not tested phone call quality yet, but I mainly bought it to charge my phone and play music.
I’m very very happy with this product thus far.
I have a 2004 Honda Pilot, and I’ve had a great experience with this device.
– The setup (which I did in the dark within five minutes) was easy
– The sound quality is better than what I’ve heard even from new car systems
– I’ve held a few phone calls on it with no problem
– After the first setup, it automatically pairs with my phone when I start the car
– It has two slots to charge phones from
– It’s got a manly British voice announcing when it’s paired
Worth it!
I have used a few of these, but this is by far the best of the best. I connected it to my audi a6, and the bose sound quality is superb. I have been missing out for a while.
First, google search for the best unused FM station, and start of from there. connection to mobile device is simple, its easy to scan and find. tuning on the BT was tricky cause i hadnt read the manual, but you simply hold down the talk button for 3 seconds and the BT letters will blink and can be paired.
when paired, it remembers and auto connects when you are close to the car. Also tested the phone quality and it works great, of course the placement of the device is key, cause any obstructions will disrupt the call quality.
i must say, this is a great device, the only unknown is how long it will last, but by the build of the device, i fell it will last a while. great job guys
Real easy to use and clear quality. Love it.
Doesn’t take up a lot of room. Audio quality is better than the others I’ve tried. I can easily hear them, and they me. So is the reception. I haven’t heard any buzz, hissing or squealing. Not cheap-o plastic, either, which I really like. Lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, too!
This is a electronic marvel!!!! It’s simple, smart and prefect. I couldn’t get SXM radio because of the year of my vehicle, and now I’m connected with great tunes and sound quality. It’s like being in a 2019 vehicle with all the bells and whistles. I can link calls hands free and my FaceTime works as well.
Excellent unit! The pairing took less than 2 minutes and the sound quality is truly impressive. I mean think about it – your alternative for an older car like mine (2001 BMW 5-Series) is purchasing a net new head unit for anywhere between $300 and $600. This thing beats those other alternatives in the cost/benefit field hands down.
The unit also feels sturdy and solid and I like the design – it complements the classy interior of the E39 chassis.
Super happy with the purchase!
I have a car that has just a basic radio with no Bluetooth connectivity, so can’t listen to podcasts on it, nor any music from my phone. This handy little gadget solved that issue. You just find a radio station with nothing going on on it. A little static doesn’t matter. Then you plug this thing into your 12v outlet (AKA cigarette lighter). At first it shows how many volts are available (handy for making sure your alternator is working), then you tune the thing to the radio station you’ve got your radio on. Next, you pair it with your phone’s Bluetooth. Voila. Anything that comes through your phone will now play on your speakers through the radio whether music, phone calls, podcasts, whatever. Every time you get in your car, a loud man with a British accent will say “Waiting for pairing. PAIRED!” I liked it so much I got one for my truck and wife’s car. We have old vehicles, none of which have Bluetooth, so it’s very useful for us. The first one I bought, I got in October 2021 and it’s still working perfectly. The only complaint I have is that the instructions are probably written by someone whose first language is Chinese. But once you get it figured out, it works like a charm.
