The Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Carrier is a must have for parents with infants and toddlers. The 4-in-1 design allows moms to comfortably breastfeed baby, as well as easily transfer baby to sitting position to rock and feed. The carrier also enables baby to face-in or out, offering parents ultimate freedom. Velcro straps allow for quick diaper changes with less mess. The carrier straps are removable and adjustable, giving parents flexibility. The carrier is machine washable for easy cleaning. Newborn infants need a lot of support for their fragile heads, bodies, and necks. Infantino’s Infantino Flip 4-in-1 carrier helps support your baby’s spine, head and neck while they are in the newborn position, as well as when they are transitioning to a plush, tummy-to-tummy position. The flip design means that it is comfortable for mom to wear her newborn facing in (tummy to tummy) or out (face in), but can also be converted to a back carrying position.

It was comfortable the entire time I had my baby fat at size 2xl 265lbs and 5’6″. My husband is 220 and he needed it looser than I did, but there was still some wiggle room in case he gained also.

I will say while it was comfortable and didn’t pinch or feel tight at all, it really looked strange in pictures. It “looked” way too tight and sank onto my squish. But it was still my favorite baby product out of every we bought. We used this more often than the stroller.
There is no difference. I called the manufacturer and they said they have never produced a “limited edition” version. Don’t get scammed. I’ve alerted Amazon about this but they have not removed the seller or item.
Wish I could tell you. I thought the cheaper infantino was more comfortable on the back it has an x pattern for support this has the strap that goes horizontally. I’m having problems with that right now hurting my lower back. My daughter is 20lbs right now so I just carry her in my arms at this point. I’m 6ft male. 180… Wish I could tell you. So all I’m saying is that the back support really does make a difference if you are a woman. My wife has been using it still, but her lower back hurts because she can’t carry her in her arms all day. Try the cheap one first at your local babies r us. If you don’t like it return it.
Did you end up using it for Halloween??
This does not have an infant insert, it doesn’t necessarily require one. The ergo and this carrier are similar but are also very different, the sizes are quite different.

The Flip Advanced baby carrier’s unique, convertible seat makes this the ideal carrier for infancy through toddler years. Use the narrow seat position and padded head support to comfortably hold small infants. Switch to the wide position to continue to provide an ergonomic, facing-in seat while your child grows. Includes the handy Wonder Cover bib to protect your clothing and carrier.
Securely carry infants from 8-32lbs/5.4-20.4kgs. Machine washable.
I lay my baby down and put her in it and then put it on carefully kinda like a back pack. Never had an issue doing that.
I carried my 30lb. son around for 2 1/2 hours on my back for Halloween and felt it more between the shoulder blades than the lower back.
Yes, this carrier will fit petite moms. It’s adjustable for most body sizes.
My son is now 12 months old and looking for an upgraded carrier–seems like he is too big for this now.
My husband is 6’4′ and about the same weight. He can get it on, but barely and isnt very comfortable. Our baby is only 11 lbs and I dont think he will be able to fit after too long because of how tight it is on his dad.
They are similar to the lillebaby in that he has one strap across the back which you can adjust. On me if fits me more on the middle of my upper back.
No it doesn’t. It comes with a burp rag that attaches with velcro when baby is facing forward.
I haven’t put any patches on it..however I would say the material is high duty..so I doubt you would ruin it if you know what you are doing. I wouldn’t set an iron on it too long. It is a cute idea..I may have to try as well 🙂
My boyfriend who is 6” and roughly 190lbs has a hard time with it. It’s put at the largest the straps will go and it’s still a little snug. Hope this helps!
Yes! My baby is 5 months old now and she loved it right away and still loves it! I used it all the time when she was first born.

I’m taking my 2 week old around the neighborhood in this carrier and she fits well into it, with a small hack. Unlike some other carriers, you do not need an infant insert with this infatino. The straps tighten enough to offer good support for a newborn at the back and neck. One problem is that it kind of cuts out my baby’s blood circulation in the legs. You can watch the little feet turn purple in a few minutes… BUT, we found a hack – roll up a towel or small blanket and put it at the bottom of the carrier as a booster seat. That way the legs can bend down naturally instead of forced into a split. As the baby get bigger and her blood circulation improves, you can remove the booster. Overall great carrier at great price, easy to put on and my baby always falls asleep in it. By the time she’s 5 months and weighs about 15lbs, we switched to ergo as she can fit in it without an insert and it’s more comfortable for the adult.
We’ve tried 4 baby carriers.
Lillebaby all seasons 6 position carrier: seat too wide for baby to sit comfortably (practically doing the splits) and it was very expensive ($140)
Baby K’tan: worked okay when our baby was a newborn but there’s zero adjustability so my husband couldn’t use it at all, it was outgrown too quickly ($50)
Infantino sash wrap and tie: by far the easiest for both parents to put on, inexpensive, easily adjustable, but can’t carry baby facing out on the front, and most of the weight is placed on lower back. I never wore this for longer than 30min but definitely a winner for babies who aren’t ready to face out. ($35)
Infantino Flip 4-in-1 Convertible Carrier: Now that our baby is 9 months old, this is our go to carrier. She loves looking at the world as we go for long walks. Carries the weight evenly on shoulders and back, easy to adjust, but be careful of the extra space you take up, I did bonk her head going sideways through a door. ($30)
I bought this for my 10 month old son (currently 25 pounds at 12 months) when we went to Washington D.C. and would highly recommend for anyone traveling with a little one. He would get tired of the stroller and would want to be held, there were also times where I wanted him up close with me and not in the stroller. He was very happy and comfortable in this. I have only used the frontal position, facing me so far, I have yet to try any of the other 3 – but its a great product and he loves it. Its also very comfortable with the wide straps and the strap that goes across the lumbar. My husband who is 6’3″ 250 pounds and I who am 5’3″ 140 pounds, can both wear this – so it also has a wide range as far as who can use.
Love this makes me feel safe to use this product my baby is two months in this picture weighs 14lbs
My baby instantly falls asleep once he is in this carrier! He is 6 weeks old and a little over 10 lbs and fits perfectly in the narrow seating position! I am 5’2″ with a short torso, and it is very comfortable. My husband is 6’1″ with a very long torso, and it fits him comfortably, too. It really doesn’t feel like he’s 10lbs when in this carrier! We love it and highly recommend it!
My goddaughter is three months older. She was born one month early and while she is in perfect health, she’s a petite little thing at nine pounds. Now compare this to my son’s birth weight of almost 11 pounds (16 years ago 🙃)
My partner and I had the privilege of caring for Baby Raine for several days and nights. We knew virtually nothing about her sleep and eating patterns, only that she loves her milk!
We discovered very quickly they Raine like most infants experiences quick bursts of leg, head, and arm activity. Another caveat is that she dislikes being swaddled. Unswaddled infants tend to sleep for shorter periods precisely due to being woken up by said jerky motions!
Which brings me to the carrier…
I never used a carrier with my son so I had zero reference point. I spent a lot of time reading product review after review. I knew I was looking for a carrier that felt light and would accommodate my 5’3 height and generously portion waist/hips as well as my partner’s medium/muscular 5’9 frame.
The carrier arrived a few hours before our goddaughter did which gave me ample time to fuss with the buckles. At first glance I was totally overwhelmed. Thankfully my partner was there to help me put it on and take it off the first few times.
1. Super broad and comfy shoulder and waist strap.
2. Love love love the Smokey grey color.
3. Leg holes are roomy, enabling me to slide baby in by myself without having to fuss with making her feet fit through.
4. Super light weight and moves when I move.
5. Once everything’s buckled, I feel certain that baby isn’t going anywhere. My first few hours her in the carrier, I felt borderline paranoid that the straps would magically come undone and that baby would be mortally injured…
How’s that for dramatic 🤦🏽♀️😂
It’s day three and me, baby Raine, and carrier are fast friends. She loves being face in or face out, depending on what tasks I’m engaging in. I wore her during my first ever Zoom workshop. She made ne’er a peep and not a soul noticed lol.
If I want to feed her on the fly, I unbuckle one or both straps. There’s just enough space to accommodate a 4-6oz bottle.
The only con, literally, is that the plastic buckets are extra stiff in the beginning which I totally understand. Obviously the more you insert and release, the more well oiled it becomes. If you have very arthritic fingers, you might need some help in the beginning.
So if you’re on product review 253 and still debating whether you should press “buy”, I say go for it!! Price and quality are unparalleled. Finally, to address customer concerns about baby thighs getting bruised by the leg holes, I took one customer’s advice and placed a folded microfiber towel in the crotch area of the carrier to allow for some distance between baby’s thighs and the carrier. On days two and three it was totally unnecessary. I recommend regularly performing a “comfort check” while baby is in carrier. Check for things like:
1. Are their airways totally clear?
2. Are arms comfortably positioned?
3. Are their legs and bottoms pressed too firmly in fixed position? This can be remedied by taking two fingers and gently readjusting baby’s legs and bottom to promote even circulation.
If you’re still reading, I appreciate you fully for taking into consideration my personal thoughts and experiences. Wish you the best!!!
I was worried about the quality of this infant carrier because of how cheap it is, but I’m very impressed!! It’s super comfortable & it holds my 2 week old newborn without feeling like he is going to slip or fall out. It feels very safe & secure and he loves to be up against me! 100% would reccomend!
It works really well but keep on eye the color of your babies feet while they’re strapped in as it may decrease blood circulation to their legs & feet. We just took a hospital blanket and rolled it and slipped it under his butt to give my baby height and some cushion to avoid the circulation issue. So far it has worked perfectly! His feet stopped turning purple after we started using the rolled blanket.
Not the most comfortable mangaroo pouch, could use a little more padding for the parent as the straps do tend to get uncomfortable after awhile. I’ve seen these in stores for $80++ this hands down beats those wrap around baby holders you need a PHD to use. It holds my baby securely & frees up my hands for things like drinking Coffee & washing bottles. I highly recommend this style of baby carrier aka mangaroo pouch
For the price, you really can’t go wrong. I bought this for a vacation to Florida where it would have been way to hot to use a wrap that we had been using.
Price- If you want to make sure that your baby will like a soft structured carrier and aren’t ready to invest in a nicer expensive one, this is the carrier for you. Or if you never want to spend a lot of money on a carrier, you will still get decent quality with this.
Lightweight- the material is breathable and the carrier itself does not weigh much. I was able to wear for long periods of time in the hot Florida summer heat without overheating myself and baby.
Versatile- The leg openings are adjustable for small babies and larger babies. All four straps that secure arms and legs are adjustable. Both straps that clip around parent are adjustable. I’m 5’5″ and my husband is 6’4″ and we are both able to easily adjust this to fit comfortably.
4 ways to wear- easy instructions and videos to help you wear baby safely. There is head support that folds down and snaps for when facing baby out. Both front positions and hip carry are easy to do by yourself, back carry needs assistance. ***We have not personally tried back carry yet as she is you small still. ***
Washable- Very easy to machine wash without ruining.
Drool cover- Basically worthless. It’s supposed to be able to attach both forward and inward facing, but the Velcro is only on one side of the cloth so it doesn’t really work facing in. Plus it falls off easily anyways either way is attached. Not the biggest deal in the world, but it definitely is a useless feature.
Shoulder straps- They are padded, which is nice, but it’s not terribly thick or overly soft padding. It worked fine for our little baby, but I can’t imagine using this for long periods of time once she hits 17-20#. The style of the strap is not the most ideal either. It’s basically like backpack straps with a thin strap that buckles across your upper back. More expensive carriers will have x shaped straps or straps that actually cross over to help disperse weight better. But again, for the price it’s nice to try out or use sparingly once the baby is heavier.
Overall it was a good buy and I would recommend to anybody not wanting to spend a lot of money or trying out a soft structure carrier to test. We have since invested in a Beco Gemini, which is a very similar style, and also use a ring sling and Solly wrap for wearing at home, but we still use this carrier.
