macOS 13.1 beta 3

Apple has released macOS 13.1 Beta 3 build number 22C5050e for Developers. Public Beta will be released soon! Check out the new features included in this test version as well as the problems fixed, ongoing issues and even new bugs.

macOS 13.1 Beta 3 Problems

New issues reported for this update, as well as unfixed bugs are highlighted here, together with available workarounds:

  • 1. Freeform: Inserting a sticky or a file might cause an unexpected error.
    Workaround: Quit and relaunch Freeform app.
  • 2. Third-party security products using the Endpoint Security API might stop working. This happens even when the product remains visible in System Settings.
    Fix: Open System Settings and browse to Privacy & Security -> Full Disk Access. Select the security product affected by this issue. Click the minus (-) button to remove, and then the plus (+) button to re-add the product. Restart Mac to restore the functionality.

This update is available, over-the-air, in System Settings -> General -> Software Update for all compatible Mac that run the macOS Ventura Beta Software Profile for Developers.

The release will soon be also downloadable to Public Beta testers that are signed up with the Apple Beta Software Program.
