Apple has released a macOS 13.2 (b) Security Response Update for Macs running macOS 13.2 Beta! This is a second test update, that tries out the RSR feature. Rapid Security Response updates have been tested out on iPhones too during the iOS 16.2 beta stages.
macOS 13.2 (b) Security Response Update
The RSR update is available in System Settings -> General -> Software Update on Macs running macOS 13.2 beta 1.
Tap Update Now or Install Now and the small security update will be applied after the next restart.
macOS 13.2 (b) Test Update?
Most likely, this is only a (13.4 MB) test update that isn’t including any real security fixes!
Apple has released macOS 13.2 (a) before the end of the year and it has now rolled out the (b) version to roll back the Safari version, ahead of the macOS 13.2 beta 2 release.
As pointed out by Realityck on the MacRumors forums:
macOS 13.1 = Safari Version 16.2 (186184.108.40.206.5)
macOS 13.2 beta 1 = Safari Version 16.2 (18614.4.1)
macOS 13.2 (a) beta 1 = Safari Version 16.2 (186220.127.116.110.1)
macOS 13.2 (b) beta 1 = Safari Version 16.2 (18614.4.1)
