macOS 13 Public Beta 5

Apple has released macOS 13 Public Beta 5 build number 22A5342f, an identical version with macOS Ventura 13 Beta 7 for Developers. Check out the bugs fixed in this release, changes, as well as new issues.

macOS 13 Public Beta 5 Bugs Fixed

  • Multiple prompts bug asking for user consent to manage apps, when installing and upgrading apps has been fixed.
  • Windows receive key events when minimized, in Stage Manager.

macOS 13 Public Beta 5 Issues

New problems reported for this version are listed below:

  • Important: Apple informs in the release notes that users should update to macOS 13 Ventura beta 6 or later before installing firmware updates for Apple Studio Display!
  • Widgets not working, failed or blank in this release. Weather, Reminders, News, Notes, Photos widgets are blank. Some widgets like Calendar, Clock, Find My, Podcasts, Screen Time and Tips do work. Reported by zentrope on Reddit.
  • USB-C monitors not working with Mac Studio after update. Reported by SNLHD
    Workaround: Use HDMI.
  • Stage Manager not working when using external displays. Reported by michaelcourytech
    Fix: Enable ‘displays have separate spaces’ option in Dock/Menu bar.

macOS 13 Public Beta 5 Update

This macOS Ventura release is available, over-the-air, in System Settings if Mac is already running a previous macOS 13 beta version.
