you wanna pay extra??? lol
Yes. This is what i used to use all the time to keep recording & erasing shows, & i have the vcr/dvd combo player
I download movies that I watch free on tv,but I believe it would be illegal to download movies that you rent or purchase.
I ordered from the description and not the picture and received Maxell DVD RW blank DVDs. Hope this helps!
I have used these for a number of years, and as you say some times you get a bad one. Normally you can erase and reuse them between 5000 to 6000 times.. every now and again you may start to get skips in them probably a good time to look at changing to new one
it does depend on your format on your tascam recorder i have a tascam recorder for recording live music demos it works on mine it depends on the burner in your Tascam unit
I don’t know about dicom files. All I burn is mp4.
DVD-(dash)R and DVD+(plus)R are 2 different formats. It’s like back in the day when VHS video tape recorders/players vs Betamax video tape recorders/players in which JVC vs Sony respectfully were in competition with each other. They were not compatible by no means. There is more to the history about both formats. So, … DVD-(dash)R and DVD+(plus)R are 2 different formats. I have a Phillips that can use only DVD+R/rw, A Panasonic uses DVD-R/rw, However my Sony can support either formats DVD-R/rw and DVD+R/rw. So check your manual very closely. A vast of computer and Rom(read only memory) type drives will support DVD-R/RW. If all else fails, see www.Youtube.com . Sincerely, Ernie B3. PS: The Maxell 634046 works very well for stand alone home recorder machines and Computer drives also.
It’s best to call the toll free number for your machine to be 100% sure. But it sounds like what I experienced recently when trying to convert my videotapes to DVD. You most likely are trying to convert a tape which has a chip in it preventing its duplication. Not sure, haven’t tried.
Im not sure. I used in a vcr to dvr recorder and the recorder did some auto set up on it.
I would think they would work just fine. I use them to record wedding videos and also to put family pictures to music as a videos.
Info About Maxell 634046 Rewritable Recording Format Superior Archival Life 4.7Gb DVD+RW Disc Archive and Capture High Capacity Files (Reviews From Amazon)
I’ve used quite a few Maxell dvd+rw on my projects through the years. To date, I’ve never had a single disc fail to read or write on my computer drive. Maxell certainly hasn’t let me down when it comes to quality.
Bought these to try and make some DVD. They worked fine. The hardest part was figuring out how my operating system worked
much better than some of th others I’ve been using and trying. Initializes well and re-writes without issues.
Bought these Last November – Primarily for the Purpose of Burning my mp4s to play with Sony DVP-SR200P/B DVD Player, Black on my LG 32LD350 32-Inch 720p 60 Hz LCD HDTV .
With a free DVD burning program, the DVD’s are excellent. And, the discs come in handy for creating and re-creating system restore disks (after upgrading from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium . Backups are a breeze. And of course – for those documents you wish to share on other computers that don’t subscribe to clouds.
Have used these for years. They hold a lot of data/ pictures etc.
I backup my computer files to disk every Saturday, and find that these work extremely fast. It’s never taken more than ten minutes to back up all of my files, even on the initial backup. I have no trouble restoring data from the disks, either. Also seems to hold an immense amount of data- I’ve only needed to use two disks, including the initial mass backup, in over a month of backing up to disk. Very impressive, far superior to other disks I’ve used in terms of speed and data storage, and worth the cost.
I have tried my fair share of rewritable dvd’s, and haven’t been impressed with any one particular brand. I’ve never tried Maxwell before, but the price was right so I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did, so far I have tried 5 discs and they all work well. So for now I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Update (10-09-2010), I have tried all 15 disc now and they all work. So I am going to purchase some more. I’ve said goodbye to Tivo and Directv. Now I record my local tv shows for free, on these disc in standard definition (16:9 – 720×480)using a Toshiba dvd recorder, and save $80 a month.
I used to transfer my old VHS to DVD .. first I tried capture video card like Elgato and Roxio but the video quality was VERY poor ..
Then I used my SONY DVD recorder to transfer my VHS and the quality was GREAT .. but with Maxell DVD only because SONY DVD and IMATION DVD not Comparable with Maxell .
I have two DVD recorders, one, which is extremely picky about which brand media it will load. The picky one will load, format and record to this Maxell +RW
media with no problem. I’ve tried other major brands, including the #1 reputable brand, however, my picky DVD recorder will not load it, as it’s not compatible with most other brands. I highly recommend this Maxell +RW for compatibilty reasons. If you have an old recorder, this brand deserves a try.
First of all, I haven’t used this 15 pack but I have previously used Maxwell Rewritables DVD’s and alway found them to do the recording I wanted done. Mostly to record Linux programs for installation on my computers. I rewrite the newer versions of the operating systems on it’s previous disk, hence the use of this type of DVD. If I could find a program that would let me use thumb drives I would switch.
