There is absolutely no info on copyright or any date whatsoever. I have had a problem with them in recording from one machine and playing back on another. Not exactly sure why it doesn’t work. When I used Maxwell and would replay them, there were a lot of times the screen would just go blank (black screen) and get fuzzy.
it must be your vcr, the tapes work fine for us.

Just put tape on the hole on the bottom of the tape and record over the movies. So far they have worked and if they don’t I am not out much.
Yes…so far I have been able to tape 6 hours.
Possibly the cardboard sleeves, but I doubt the hard plastic. This is good old fashioned VCR tapes, with the hard plastic encasing the actual tape. I doubt any of it is recyclable.
There are 4 in a pack but I’m not sure about shipping costv
Hi Susan. I am pretty sure they don’t manufacture them anymore but you can still find new ones on Amazon. They are probably ones that just never sold in the stores. But I did look on Amazon and saw some new ones there. Hope this helps!
ALL of the VCR tapes on the market are OLD as they are NOT being made any more. I ordered a lot of them from different sellers and only about half of them worked. I would NOT order them again as another 2 years have passed and they are even older. Matched picture but, these tapes did not work for me. Believe this is old stock. 3 out of 4 were bad. A real aggravation.
Unfortunately probably not. Prime members get free two day shipping that may get it by Saturday but not likely. I am sorry and have a great day

The VHS format won the popularity battle. There were different lengths of tape and recording was done at different speeds. Some recorders provide 3 speeds, but most only provide 2 speeds. The faster speeds provided the better video quality to the picture. It is normally referred as the SP (standard play) mode. The slowest tape speed is referred to as EP (Extended Play) or SLP (Super Long Play) mode.
The T-120 VHS cartridge will record for 2 hours at the SP speed, and 6 hours at the SLP speed. The same size cartridge can hold more tape if the tape is thnner. Thus, the T-160 VHS cartridge can record for 2 hours 40 minutes at the SP speed, and for 8 hours at the SLP speed.
I use both versions of the tape. For something I plan to keep and want high quality, I use T-160 at SP mode. For recording something that I only plan to watch once, I use either tape version and the SLP mode.

idk why they quit selling blank tapes at stores like Walgreens,Walmart and Target..now you have to buy online and they cost 3 times or so more than they use to,when you could buy at stores !!! GUESS I AM GLAD THEY STILL SELL THEM AT ALL,Since everything is on DVR DVD or Stream from Computer, but i still LOVE recording,i am old school.,and i HATE DVR !!!! They don’t hold much and you can not keep recording things on DVR 4EVER and i like KEEPING TV SHOWS,So when they stop showing my favorite tv shows on tv,i still have them to watch and enjoy,i got sooo many good old tv shows, they never ever show anymore at all on tv and i am so glad i recorded them, shows people forgot or never heard of,that i think are way waaay better than most trv shows on now days and much funnier !!!! Great Memories of the good ol’ 70’s !!!!and i don’t mean crappy shows like Mash,i dream of jeannie, bewitched, brady bunch and threes company..you can still see those wore out boring shows anytime on tv still,i am talking about good old comedies they dont show much, like Hardcastle and MCCORMICK,Jimmy Stewart show,Doris Day show,CPO Sharkey,Johnny Bago,Charlie Hoover,Ghost and Mrs Muir Danger Team..and many many more !!!! My list goes on 4ever of good old tv shows,i miss seeing, that they NEVER show on tv anymore ,not even the classic channels like Cozi Antenna tv and MeTV and other channels
Currently I’m moving some family memories from older VHS tapes to DVD-Ram and ripping them to a digital format on my PC. Since these are important memories, I want to have as many backups as possible so rerecording them back onto ‘fresh’ VHS tapes is something important to me. Comparing these tapes to local price, the price here on Amazon is very competitive. After recording older footage onto these VHS tapes, I’m quite satisfied with the quality of these tapes on the SP record setting. Not much has changed in the VHS tape since it has become such a dinosaur, but it’s great to be able to get this product when you need it, for a reasonable price.
Years ago I would be able to buy VHS tapes in just about every store. Not they are harder to find, and when you do find them they are expensive. Here I was able to buy VHS tapes for under $2. Not only did I find my type of VHS tapes, but found other types as well such as PRO tapes, etc… I plan on purchasing other types of cassettes in the near future, only because it is affordable and convenient to buy. I also like the fact that they are delivered to your home at no extra cost. I highly recommend buying VHS tapes here, I have purchased over 50 tapes so far and all recorded perfectly.
The tapes are very good quality, they run smoothly, don’t get jammed or stuck, I’m quite happy to be able to get Maxell vhs tapes in this day and age, these are just like the ones I used way back in the day.
The package arrived in about 6 days and in the advertised condition. I’ve bought Maxell products in the past(especially cassette audio tapes and vhs tapes) and have never been disappointed. The color and sound are both exceptional on these tapes. I know that the trend is changing and these tapes are going the way of the 8-track (and I’m trying to slowly make the change over to digital media) but in the meanwhile..I can highly recommend this Maxell 4-pk for your vcr recording needs.
Also-this vendor appears to be a fine one.
So glad these VHS tapes are still available! I love my VCR and have trouble finding good ones. This is the second time I have ordered them and have had no problems as with those bought at a local discount store. With those you are lucky if you can hear what’s said at all for all the screen jumping or blipping. These have recorded very nicely. No problem skipping due to bad places on the actual tape or loss of audio. Would definitely buy again.
What is there to not like? I keep old VHS tapes to use in my more vintage recorder. Some of my tapes were so worn they started to drag and could have destructed inside the player. I like these because they also only had one outside plastic wrapping and I don’t have to fight with individual wrappings for each tape. Six hours using SLP (speed) is perfect for my use. Never had any trouble with Maxell.
nice
actually I purchased these as part of a birthday gift, along with a television. The person had a VHS recorder and no DVD.
He as well as I am very HAPPY with the maxell tapes. Infact they were an added bonus to the original gift.
VHS tapes are very difficult to purchase now a days anyway—this was very easy, to just check online and order.
When we get close to using up all 24 tapes that were ordered, I will re-order once again—–thank you
Great quality. Works in my old Sony VHS recorder.
