Facts About Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Rings, 272 Count, 1 Pack
I’ve used them in the original pail. It works but I feel like the lid didn’t completely shut (just a small hair of an amount). They aren’t meant for the original but you could definitely make it work. I’ve done it before
LOL! I cut the bags and tied them for the longest time! My boyfriend realized that’s how I do it, laughed at me, and showed me the cutting edge on the pail itself.
I also have a ring bag pail and these do not fit so I returned them. I found the ring bags in Walmart very cheap.
The Munchkin Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Ring is not compatible with the original Arm and Hammer Diaper Pail, it is compatible with our PAIL and STEP.
Good morning Debra. We do not have an average time frame as to how often you must replace the refill as the amount of use/placement of diapers varies for everyone. However, please note, one ring holds up to 272 newborn diapers.

Good afternoon, RS. If you have the original/discontinued Diaper Pail (with the baking soda refill cartridge not the puck) only the Snap, Seal, and Toss bags will work with the pail. If you have our new PAIL or STEP diaper pail you can use either the bags or the refill rings and do not need to use both at the same time.

Not sure, I ordered these from amazon and love them.
Good morning Chistopher, the Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Rings is made with a Made with 7-layer film, lavender-scented, to keep odors out and locking that fresh smell in.

I usually let the sack get pretty long (around 2 feet) and really pack the diapers in tight before I cut and knot. Less cutting and knotting allows a bit more plastic to be used. It also depends on how far from the cutoff you tie the knot. There are so many variables. I have 1 standard sized Playtex Diaper Genie with 1 toddler who is in size 5 diapers and I usually go about 4-5 weeks before I have to change the ring. I usually tie and knot the bag/tube about 2 times a week, so that ‘s about 8-10 tied and knotted 2’ bags.

Info About Munchkin Arm & Hammer Diaper Pail Refill Rings, 272 Count, 1 Pack (Reviews From Amazon)
We have been using these refills with the Munchkin Step diaper pail, and they have generally worked just fine. The bags themselves have a mild fragrance to them that I neither like nor dislike. Fortunately the fragrance is mild enough that it’s unlikely to bother you unless you are extremely sensitive to scents (and some people are).
My biggest complaint about these refills is that there is no way to know when you are near the end of a tube. Frequently I’ll pull a new section down to find that there was only about a foot left, which can lead to some wasted bag.
A few tips:
1) Ignore the company’s estimate for how long these refills will last you. A year’s worth? Not even close. Perhaps in an ideal setting with just a few diapers per day, all newborn size, and cramming as many in as possible… but even that is a stretch. It took us about 4 months to go through this entire set of refills.
2) To maximize the number of diapers you get in each bag, when the pail is full, before cutting the tube to create the next “bag,” hold the bag above the diapers and press the contents down to compact them a bit and you will often regain about 6-10 inches of space at the top (do this by pressing THROUGH the bag, not by reaching INTO it). Squeezing most of the air from the bag before you seal it will also help waste less space.
3) When following tip #2 be sure to hold your breath for a few seconds, especially when squeezing the air from the bag, as the “fragrance” which bursts forth is not exactly floral.
4) When starting and finishing a bag, try to tie the knots as close to the ends of the bag as you reasonably can — but be careful because if you leave the ends TOO short the knot can come untied, which is not fun.
These may not be perfect, but then what is “perfect” when you’re talking about diaper disposal? They work fine for us.
We have bought these for their intended use with the munchkin diaper pail. We really don’t have any complaints other than the fact that they will not last you as long as the diaper pail/manufacturer suggest. We have gotten a few months out of the full set of them.. no where close to a year, but once the child gets older and diaper changes are fewer they will definitely last for longer. The diaper pail itself can only hold so many so you will think the bag is full before it actually is- in this case my tip would be to shake/push down the diapers in the bag (by squeezing the outside of the bag at the top end) the best you can before cutting the bag off and starting a new one. This will allow you to get a few more diapers in. Also, when starting a new bag be sure to tie your knot as close to the end as possible, but also being sure that it is no too close to the end to cause it to open when full. This will also help ensure you are able to get a larger amount of diapers in the bag.
Other than the above, they are easy to use with the diaper pail and we haven’t found them to have any overwhelming scent. You do not smell the dirty diapers when in the pail bag/pail either. They are very durable and we have not had any issues with them breaking open from too many diapers, etc.
I would recommend this product, especially to use with the munchkin diaper pail. Hope this was helpful!
These are great because as you add diapers the bag unrolls in the hamper so you’re not risking getting baby poop on your hands from previous diapers. Once the bag fills the length of the hamper, you cut it off at the top. You tie the remaining in the hamper and that becomes the start of the bottom for your next bag. The scent is very mild, but we rarely ever walk into the room and are able to tell that’s where our dirty diapers are, so I feel like it’s doing it’s job.
I find these bags easy to use. With an infant, time and convenience matters a lot to us.
Also, I haven’t noticed any smell leakage yet. So they’re pretty air tight so far.
PROS: Airtight, durable, and easy to use.
The durability part, I tested it out on accident. I threw a full bag of diapers and missed the garbage can. It landed on a somewhat sharp edge but the bad didn’t break! The garage floor was spared, if you know what I mean…
*Easy to use
These are very nice for the Munchkin Diaper Pail with step. It holds lot of diapers. We roughly get a goods month use out of one. I wish bag was actually scented as well as just the puck. So it can stink when open once starts getting full. Very easy to use. Put the part with bag exit facing up, then take bag pull down from inside center, Then tie. When full just take the “Diaper Snake 🐍” out, push all diapers tight against bottom, then tear just above enough to tie. Then tie the new part still in container. So much nicer then just throwing in a trash can.
We. Love. These. Things. And we aren’t the kind of people to buy things like this – we prefer to figure out our own “hack” and save some money. But we all know that when you have a new baby (along with an older child), it just isn’t the time to be adding work to your life. So we decided to go the easy route and use these. One of the best decisions ever (along with purchasing the Munchkin brand diaper pail). They are super-easy to use, and they actually keep the stink INSIDE the bag, not floating around in the air stinking up the room. (Side note, after cutting the top end of the bag and getting ready to tie it off, I’ve squished the bag to get all of the air out in order to have more room to tie it, and was blasted in the face with the stink of several days’ worth of dirty diapers. Gross. But the awesome thing is that I never smelled it until I opened the bag up to press the air out. They’re that good.) The only negative, and the reason for one less star, is that there is no warning as to when you’re getting to the end of the supply of plastic bag. You’re pulling the bag out to tie it off after emptying the pail, and all of a sudden it’s out. And you’re left with just enough bag to not be able to use it – there’s not enough to reach to the bottom of the pail. You can try, but the first diaper you stick in there will make the bag drop out of its holder, rendering it useless. It needs some sort of indicator that it’s about to run out so you can plan accordingly; maybe something like they have on cash register paper.
I’ve tried ALL of the different refills and I will forever buy these, as long as we have dirty diapers in our house. They definitely stink the least. You know when you have a few days worth in there marinating and you pop that top to hopefully throw your last one in before the cut and tie…but it sneaks out a HUGE toot of the..stink? Well these refills, much much tinier toot. Worth every penny!
I like this refill because it actually does keep that horrible diaper genie odor at bay without having such an overpowering scent, like other diaper genie refills. The material is strong and flexible too, so I don’t experience any breakage or stretching. It’s so great that I’ve subscribed to get new refills every two months!
If you’re considering buying refills then I highly recommend these. I’ve tried off brands before and they do an absolute terrible job masking the smell. The munchies brand is hands-down one of the best at masking diaper pail smells even.
I want to give these a bad review so that no one else will buy them so they will never run out when I need them! These are the best bags I have found. I originally bought these when my baby was first born, and then at one point they were sold out, so I tried a few other brands. None of them were as easy to use or scent stopping as these bags! So I ended up going back to these and will never buy anything else again.
