The miniature boat train gets little ones in a tub and helps develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and social skills. The lifelike bath toy comes with four train cars that each have a character and different phrases, such as “go” and “stop.” The cars also each feature a water propulsion system, allowing for some fun, splashy play. Simply add a cup of water, screw the toy into the spout, and watch the boat navigate the water.

I bought them to use for my preschool transportation unit and a sink or float activity. They do stay upright. You can also link them and they have numbers on them. Definitely worth it!
Although the product description said 6 boats, we only got 3, which is actually a pretty disappointing boat train.

Info About Munchkin Little Boat Train Baby and Toddler Bath Toy, 6 Piece Set (Reviews From Amazon)
The good stuff: They’re single piece construction, no places for mold to hide, and sturdy. They dry out easily, and most importantly, my 2 year old loves them.
The meh: They’re advertised to connect together as a train, which my daughter loves doing, but the connection is so loose that the slightest movement of the water causes them to come apart. It’d be nice to see a better connection. But not a deal breaker.
A lot of the negative reviews fixate on the fact that these easily tip over and the connection between boats is tenuous at best. My advice: Look at these through the eyes of a 2 year old who doesn’t necessarily know which way they’re supposed to float. They are solid, they work as scoops for pouring water, they have little holes in the top for sprinkling water, and all in all I’d highly recommend.
I purchased these for my 18 month old son after we decided to replace all of his bath toys. I was looking for bath toys that were easy to clean/sanitize and would not collect mold, so these were perfect. They kept my son entertained but do start to sink when they fill up with water. They were also much better quality than I’d expect for only costing a couple of dollars. Would recommend!
With two girls that LOVE bathtime, we were getting stuck on good toys. We had lots of those little squirter toys, but the mold/gunk build up in those are just so disgusting and I was always fearful that they would squirt mold out. There just aren’t a lot of cute bath toys out there that aren’t squirters/susceptible to mold. When I saw these little boats I knew they would be a perfect replacement. Although they aren’t “cute” like little sea creatures, they are fun and functional! My older daughter likes to help “wash” her little sister by pouring water from the boats onto her back. They like to have “boat races” in the tub. And they are easy to stack and store! Best of all – run them through the dishwasher when they need a cleaning and they are good as new!
I like these because they are bath toys that don’t fill up with water and get moldy. They are not very entertaining though. You can kind of connect them, but the slightest movement causes them to come apart. My 2 year old is too impatient for that anyway. She doesn’t really play with these much, but she does put them in a bucket and dump them out. We count them when it is time to get out and put them in the bucket to clean up. They are nicely made and pretty colors. I wouldn’t say there is anything wrong with them.
Our first set of bath toys were a bunch of farm animals that had a little hole on them. No matter what we did, water would get in and mold would set. Of course I don’t want my child taking baths with mold, or handling toys that have mold throughout them. So I threw those away and got these. He plays with them almost every bath. The other reviews are right though, they don’t stay up and when you connect them, they will come apart on their own. However, they keep him entertained so that is worth every penny.
Looking for good bath toys when I came across these and they were perfect for my 18 month granddaughter.
She likes them bc the are nice bold colors and she can practice saying her colors as she plays with them
I like the bc they don’t hold water like those squeaky ones and the are easy to clean
They do not “lock” into each other very good ..so I wouldn’t purchase them for that if this is something you are wanting
Got these for my baby when she was 10 months old. She has loved them. The bright colors keep her attention and they are the perfect size for her to get a good grip on when she’s playing. If I’m being SUPER picky the only con would be that they’re a little hard to stack. But she’s not too worried about stacking them. 😂
My kids 3,5, and 8 love these. We took them to the pool and all the kids there begged to share! They are great for the tub, sink, pool, or just to play with. We didn’t know that they connect! They don’t stay super together if you pull too hard but they are cute.
I got these based off the great reviews. My baby loves to hold things and clap them together. These boats do the trick and don’t get ruined in the process (even if they did, the price is amazing so I’d get more). I really enjoy the different colors because I can engage with my baby about learning them. I try to talk as much as possible so I always say what color he has in his hand or ask him. These are easy to wash off and don’t cause mould (HALLELUJAH). Even better, they don’t have to be just for bath or water. My baby would not let go of them once we were done with the baby so into the playroom they went and eventually they made there way into every other place possible. He could not let them go. It does suck that it’s plastic but for the price and joy it brings to my baby, I highly recommend these colorful boats! 🙂
Love these boats. They are colorful, stackable, numbered, hook together, and float! I was happy that even when they filled with water they didn’t sink. It’s also cute that the holes on the top correspond with the numbers (1-3). So easy to clean too! No worry about mold.
In summation, Munchkin Little Boat Train Baby and Toddler Bath Toy is a wonderful toy, the perfect addition to bath time. Recommended by every baby bathtub review site, Munchkin Little Boat Train Baby and Toddler Bath Toy is recommended for you.
