As long as the remote is compatible with your Samsung TV, it is point and shoot, No programming available and no connection involved.

It worked with my 3 year old Samsung. Beyond that I don’t know. You’d probably have to contact Samsung.

I ordered & received 2 remotes. The remote worked to turn on & off but does NOT work for anything else. Like switching to previous channel or using the buttons to switch to Netflix, Prime or Hulu. This was a very disappointing buy & will be returning both remotes.

I’m not sure what is meant by ‘lock the volume’. This remote does adjusts the volume.

I had to troubleshoot before Amazon Prime came on. You may also try unplugging your tv, plugging it in again and letting it reboot. Make sure you have Amazon Prime. If it doesn’t work replace the device.

Did not work with my Samsung TV, not even to power/turn on the TV. Do not waste your money buying that remote. I purchased another remote “AA59-00443A” and works well with my TV. Do some research what TV model you have and what remote is compatible.

Put batteries in, tested all buttons, work great. Much simpler and easier then the remote that came with my tv, which did not have buttons for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu like this one has.
A little lighter than the original but very happy overall.

Works great! Insert batteries and that’s it. No programming. Bought to have as a backup for when original is “missing”. This one is not an original Samsung, which is ok for me. Although, it is lighter in weight, plus, the plastic and overall “hand feel” is different from the original. Also, where the original Samsung has the “Samsung TV Channel” button, this one has a Hulu button in its place. That said, it’s not enough to deter from using or to return. Just acknowledging the differences. Have had no complaints with use. Has good infrared range. Also works with my cable dvr box. Recommend for replacement, or to have as a second unit as we do.

My two Samsung QLED 40K Smart TVs came with these ridiculous “solar powered” remotes which have no keypad and are almost impossible to use. the buttons for the preprogrammed apps are so tiny and close together, you inadvertently press something you don’t want. you cannot control the volume – only on or mute. I purchased two of these new remotes to replace those and am so happy. They are simple to use, easy to read, they learn the TVs immediately, and have Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix buttons. They don’t come with batteries, but for $13, it is well worth my time to put in a couple of AAA batteries each. I’ve recommended this remote to everyone I know who has a newer Samsung TV. A neighbor who has the same TV with the stupid solar remote just purchased this one on my recommendation and she loves it too. Highly recommended!

Purchased this for my father who purchased a new Samsung tv earlier this year. The remote that comes with the tv is not easy to use so I gave this to him. Remote worked instantly and my father is able to use all the tv functions now with this remote. Downside is there were no directions included with the remote. I was hoping I could reprogram the Hulu button to a different app but did not find a way to do this (I also did not try that hard either). Would purchase again.

Ordered less than 24 hours ago and already delivered to the front door! Requires 2 AAA batteries. No programming necessary! Worked immediately on my Samsung 70inch tv! I lost the remote somehow for my tv but this replacement is even better than the original having the Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime buttons on it!

This remote is great! I had a tiny skinny and slippery remote that came with my Samsung smart TV. This remote is great size, easy to use and stays in my hand when I need it. Took it out of box, installed two of my AAA batteries, turned it on and pressed the HULU button bc I am streaming. No set up whatsoever! Not expensive and works great! Love it!!!

I bought this for my Samsung curved TV which I’ve had for a couple of years. Discovered this when I bought 2 new Samsungs for other rooms. Makes it easier to scroll through my home screen, but was really hoping it would make it easier to use for my Apple TV. Unfortunately I still need to use the remote that came with Apple. Overall I really like this

Worked perfectly for a new Samsung TU700D series. Worked automatically with an older Bose Solo speaker without having to program it, it doesn’t turn the speaker on but no other TV remote ever did either but it controls the volume. I love that the three systems I use Hulu, Netflix, and Prime are shortcut buttons. Absolutely would buy again.

This is an awesome purchase! After downgrading with Xfinity and returning their equipment including remotes, I was missing my original remote control for my Samsung 4K TV plus. Bought this universal remote and I’m so happy I did! No programming needed! Just place the batteries and go!!!! Easy peasy Lemon squeeze!

Turns out the factory one that came with the TV was just garbage.
This replacement has saved me from cursing at the TV and possibly throwing it through said TV.
Very pleased with this purchase.
