It’s definitely not the original. The one that’s more like the original starts at $40 and up. The original is a 360 remote with voice activation. Just buy the silicone bumper. You won’t have to worry about it falling apart.

The remote to the left is my old one under the code: BN59-01260A and the one on the right is this listing’s under the code: BN59-01259A. Our old remote worked really slow and we had to push the buttons either repeatedly, really hard, or go up close to the TV in order to prompt a response. We put in new batteries but that didn’t help.

Once we got the new remote, all we did was switch the batteries and it started working like new. This remote is perfect! Thank you

Was visiting good friends and accidently placed their remote control where there obnoxious dog could get to it and chewed it up. The replacement functions like the original, with all the original buttons and could have it delivered within a couple of days. Thank you!

This works great. I put batteries in and it worked on my TV immediately with zero setup… but I could not figure how to make the volume work, it seemed to go up and down randomly no matter which side of the button I clicked on and the stupid mute function kept going on and off. Good grief! It was day 2 before I realized I was trying to click the right and left side of the volume button instead of pushing it forward (up) and back (down); and the click function controls mute on and off. DUH! It moves forward and back like a gas pedal, not pushing on left or right side of the button.
To be fair, this came in a plastic sleeve inside a small envelope inside a padded Amazon envelope with ZERO instructions and I’d not had any experience with a remote button that functions like this.
My Samsung smart tv came with a remote that had way too many buttons, and we kept hitting the wrong one in the dark by accident and having to go back to ‘home’ and reload whichever service and program we were watching. This is much easier. I still haven’t figured out what the 123 button and the ‘extra’ color buttons are for at the top; I’m sure one is probably for ‘source’ and one maybe for different machines, like dvd or soundbar, but we don’t have those hooked in anyhow.

I usually do not rate Items purchased at Amazon, but I am making an exception here as this remote is everything I wanted for a second remote. I recently switched from Cable to Satellite. I found out stat some channels I like were not in the Satellite package but were on local over the air broadcast. I now need to switched back and forth from HDMI (for satellite) to antenna. The cable Set-top box remote could make the source switch, but could not change channels. The original Samsung can switch sources and change channels, of course, but is bulky and has all the standard controls (buttons) needed to program and select all the television feature. OMAIC Universal Smart TV Remote has all the controls I need without the extra buttons. It is smaller than the Samsung remote so it take up less space. I have not tried all the features on the new remote, line the number button, but it easily does all I need to control the antenna input and select channels.

It was easy, unwrap and it was ready to go, it synced immediately to my 65in curve tv with no issues. Love it, glad I brought a back up one and the price was excellent.

While it doesn’t feel as heavy, or as sleek as the OEM remote, this is a great substitute. I’ve had my TV for a few years, and the remote was getting pretty banged up. The volume button stopped working consistently. I ordered this as a replacement, it immediately recognized my tv, and has all of the same functions as the other remote. Buttons feel a little bit different, the rubber is thicker. but all the buttons do exactly the same thing. Very convenient. The only minor gripe I have is the channel and volume buttons are stiff, and take some extra Force to use, but it’s nothing deal breaking and I got used to it pretty quick

The original remote didn’t have buttons, just areas to press. It was the worst remote I ever had. I’ve had this TV going on 5 years and the remote was getting worse. This new remote has actual buttons and works with 1 press. I’m so happy I’m giddy. Sadly, the original remote didn’t work well from day one and I’m questioning why I didn’t look for a replacement sooner.

Originally I went with another universal remote I bought on Amazon. It only lasted weeks before it stopped working. So I decided to find the replacement for the original Samsung remote. This one easily out of the package it worked. No need to do anything other than to use it. It even controls my Alexa. So I have the option of only having one remote. Very happy indeed.
