During the installation of the printer, HP tries their darnedest to convince you that the instant ink (free ink, automatic replenishment, etc) is required for the printer to work. This is NOT true. These ink cartridges work perfectly in my HP 3830 printer, and I did not buy the instant ink program when installing the printer.

Yes. But maybe it depends on your printer. I have a HP Envy 4520. I have a genuine HP63 black cartridge in it now. The color cartridge ran out, so I replaced it with a knock ff color cartridge. Me too. The cartridge won’t work. There’s something very fishy looking about the cartridge also.

Black and a regular multi-colored cartridge. I never heard if just a pink color cartridge.

HP 4500 is still use Hp 61 ink, NOT hp 63 ink.

there are two in my HP series 2130….the cartridges I bought fit perfectly in my printer but the printer will not accept them…..message says wrong cartidge

The black worked fine. I put the color in, and the machine would not read it. We turned the printer on and off, and installed and reinstalled it multiple times before finally giving up. We happened to have another color cartridge on hand, and put it in. It worked immediately.

I pay extra for genuine HP parts so that we don’t have this problem.

UPDATE:

HP actually got in contact with me, and resolved the problem. Color me IMPRESSED with HP! Most companies today don’t seem to care about anything. I have changed my "star" rating to the top.

Installed the black ink cartridge today for my office jet 4650. Keep getting “incompatible cartridge” error. Definitely a defective set of cartridges,. Am now 5 days beyond my 30-day return window for this purchase, so I spent $48 on a product that is defective and cannot be returned. Thus the 1-star reviews.

Note that I have ordered same cartridges from here before, and those were fine.

UPDATE: Amazon replaced the ink cartridge even though it was beyond the return window. The replacement they sent worked just fine! I’ve updated my 1-star rating to 5 stars.

My other printer had 3 color cartridge and a black cartridge, if one color was low I could not print until it was replaced. Love the ease of installing the cartridges and the fact that there is only two cartridges needed.

Just to let you know, I’m not ignoring your e-mails. Its just that due my busy schedule recently I haven’t had a chance to try to use some of the items that I purchased. The ink cartridges come on or just before your predicted date of delivery . Which is fantastic. When it came to the office or new desk items we were in process of moving . So I am still setting up those . Each and everyone so far are coming out just as I planned and working out great.Just to mention there was only 1 item that is not as I ordered . The silver mesh drawer, shelf and part top paper display – don’t remember what it was called. I waited to long in ordering it ands you were out of stock. So I ordered the silver and painted it black to match the set of others . I love the assortment and it has worked out great. The garden tools are still packed due to our weather here it has almost constantly rained , Since our arrival. In the next few weeks I will be starting to work outside . On my flowers and plants ,the different gardens will be changed somewhat perinals and annuals to be added. So at that time I will be using the others gardening items. I am looking forward to that experience . Thank you for all your items I ordered .

These worked just as they said they would. My printer picked up on them being authentic Hp ink so no problem printing right away. My order was dropped off the same day I ordered them which was a plus for me I had a print job I needed done right away. Great product.

Last year I bought ink cartridge’s for my printer at Walmart. I installed them only to find that they were previously used and empty. Walmart has an excellent return policy and someone (a thief) took advantage of their return policy. He or she put old ink cartridges back in the original package and maybe using a clothes iron they managed to seal the foil package to make it look unopened?

This is my second purchase from Amazon of the ink cartridges and so far I’m satisfied with the quality and the price.

These HP ink cartridges still remain too expensive especially considering how little ink is in each. I use on my home printer for casual, very small print jobs yet run out fast. HP really needs to lower the price substantially and increase the ink content. Corporate greed is so ugly and unfair the to home consumer especially when touted as a proprietary ink replacement cartridge. HP has us over a barrel.

I don’t buy remanufactured ink cartridges because I’ve found that they leak or use up too quickly. I only buy HP ink for my HP Envy 4520 and you get more use out of the XL than regular. I’m not sure how many pages I get out of one cartridge because it depends on the density of the printing. Most times I use “draft” which is sufficient for a non-critical document. The color cartridge produces nice photos too. I’m pretty happy with the HP cartridges.

My review is about the quality of the product purchased from Amazon. I ordered the same product from Walmart for the same price since I was already placing an order there. However, when I received the ink refill, the print came out striped and after only about 10 pages, the ink needed to be replaced. I returned it to Walmart and ordered Amazon again. I have ordered many of these packs from Amazon and never had a problem.

I have the HP Envy 4520. It’s a wireless printer. These cartridges fit perfectly in this printer. They may fit other HP printers, but be sure to know what type of printer you have so that this product fits your printer. The color quality is great and they are easy to install. They can last a long time. Depending on how much printing you need to do. So far I haven’t had any problems of them leaking. The price of this product is what I expected. Printer ink and toners can be expensive. It depends on what printer you have. So I like this product very much.
