I have the original remote control and I order it from Amazon and it works great but I do not know if will work with a generic one.

I’m not sure if a Firestick can be controlled with this remote. I believe the rewind, play, pause, and fast forward are to control an app that you have loaded in the TV.
To get the live menu on my TV, I push the List button. If I want to see up coming programs, after I push List, push right arrow, then the up butt… I’m not sure if a Firestick can be controlled with this remote. Once that occurs I push the left arrow twice I believe. The icon at the top of the screen days guide. After that is highlighted, push ok.

First of all, with electronic accessories it’s often difficult to parse offerings between those that claim to be OEM (but aren’t) and those that are. I had seen others at twice the price that were fakes/knockoffs. This remote is LG OEM and is nearly identical to the one I’ve had ~2 years. It has the exact same buttons and operates the same way.

Only a few tiny, miniscule details were different and likely were just improvements LG made. I found the buttons to be slightly stiffer but this is almost certainly due to it being new, vs one in use for 2 years. The infrared bulb at the front of the remote sticks out a little more, maybe 3mm, and looks like it may be a better bulb based on appearance. The plastic seam in the same area is tighter, with almost no gap, compared to my old one with a small gap of about 1mm. The plastic in this area is also slightly more textured but you won’t be touching or looking at it anyway so it’s inconsequential to even mention.

I found no differences otherwise in size/shape/button layout/button printing/plastic texture.

All of that was boring, so TL;DR:
Buy this remote if your original is AKB75095307 and you will be extremely satisfied as I am.

We were so relieved to find this on Amazon! !! The batteries corroded in ours so we couldn’t use the remote. This is EXACTLY like the one we have! The quality is perfect and we got it two days after ordering! ! Got to love Amazon!!! Definitely recommend! ! Great price! !

The media could not be loaded.  After my original remote pooped out because -of course- my children kept dropping it, I ordered one from Amazon, the first one I ordered (NOT THIS ONE) sucked!! You had to be extremely close to the TV and Point it right in the middle LITERALLY
So finally I decided to get on here and try to order a different one.. and I am extremely glad I did!
This one is exactly like my old original one.
All the buttons work without pointing it straight to the TV and you can be on the other side of the room and it still works without a problem!
If something happens with this one I will definitely be ordering another one from here. But I did order a protective case for it so let’s hope I don’t have to spend any more money on remotes lol

This is a OEM replacement remote that works with LG Smart TV’s. The Amazon & YouTube buttons launch their respective apps without issue. Worth the money; just note the buttons are small & you “may” opt for the upgraded LG remote in lieu of this one.

Can’t quite tell if it’s a genuine LG component or a knockoff (slight differences in the icons from the OEM remote that came with the TV), but it works just the same. Plus it’s a lot cheaper than what LG wanted for a replacement. Will add to this review should I run into any future issues, but so far so good!

We have two LG TVs in different rooms and they use the same remote. We also have kids and a dog, so it’s absolute chaos here and we lose TV remotes. Often.

I love the fact that these remotes are <$15. So when we lose one, or our kid gnaws one up, it’s a cheap replacement. As far as I can tell, these are the same type and quality as the original one.

We have purchased three. Two were perfect, but one had problems keeping the sliding battery cover in place. It just wouldn’t latch right. Can’t have that, with kids. We returned the bad one. Still, 5 stars overall. Good inexpensive quality product.

I was in need of a replacement for the original remote that lasted a few years with the abuse from the kids. Now some of the buttons started to become unresponsive and this replacement remote was the answer. Worked with the TV right our of the box, no setup required at all, just add batteries. It feels so nice to not have to fight the buttons anymore!! This was an exact original replacement, not a knock off.

Got a new LG 4k. The new style remote had a roller ball which took a poo-poo after 3 months. I had no luck getting a replacement from LG or the brick-and-mortar store. Since my older LG 4k had no issues with the older model remote, I downgraded. Hey LG if it works leave it alone!!

Ordered this LG remote hoping it would be easier to configure than the previous universal remote. (Eaten by puppy.) I was a little worried when it came with no instructions but added batteries, tried pointing it at the TV, and voila. Worked right away.

I considered removing a star because the Amazon button doesn’t go to Amazon… but really it took me one trial of a few seconds to learn that and use the home button to get to Amazon. For what I want to do–watch a few streaming services on an LG TV, point-click-go–this remote is intuitive and easy to use.
