Facts About Outlet Extender with Night Light, USB Wall Charger, POWLIGHT 5-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 4 USB Ports, 1680 Joules Multi Plug Outlet with Spaced Outlets for Home, Office, White
What do you mean by expiration date? This is a plug extender.
You push the picture of the sun on the front to change brightness and turn it off.
It automatically turns on and off with a internal light sensor. No manual on off switch.
3-prong for the the bottom wall plug. 1 plastic prong that goes to into the top ground bottom plug (for stability I would guess). On a side note I removed the the plastic wall plate so the extender would be flush with the wall since I was doing a "permanent" mounting.
This is something you should ask the seller or put into a review.
It has a sensor which detects low light and turns itself on or off. If you look at the description on Amazon, you can control it somewhat with the button just below the top of the outlet (it looks like a light). I haven’t had to use it, but you can experiment with modifying when it comes on/goes off.
If you mean what wattage the light uses, it’s less than .25 of a watt on the highest setting. I was curious about it myself so I tried to test it, but my clamp-on meter won’t even register a draw when it’s on high. And it’s a pretty sensitive meter.
I don’t recommend it..
Moisture I think OK…but physical water droplet would be dangerous if gets into the plug hole..
Not that I am aware of. Did you tI assue that you tried pushing the spot that controls the light. since it is a 4-way toggle (Off, high, medium, low) The light did not work on the first one that I ordered and the company replaced it.
no
To me, it’s like any other outlet. I wouldn’t put it near water. I have a plug near my bathroom sink where I would put it, but it would be a waste because I don’t need this many outlets in the bathroom. Almost none
There is no built in control over that.
I would say NO. The extender is setup for a duel outlet w/ground so it has molded pieces that might have to be broken off. The attachment plug elements are centered so it would also depend upon the lamps outlet height and position. In your case; I would use a CORDED outlet of some type.
I charge all of my iPhones on with it
Info About Outlet Extender with Night Light, USB Wall Charger, POWLIGHT 5-Outlet Surge Protector Power Strip with 4 USB Ports, 1680 Joules Multi Plug Outlet with Spaced Outlets for Home, Office, White (Reviews From Amazon)
I had originally bought this to use in our kitchen but our counters have a tile splashguard and it actually meant that this outlet extender is about a 1/4″ too long to use in our kitchen. I decided to use this one in our guest bathroom to add plug-ins for our guest and also it provides them a night light should they need to go to the bathroom during the night. I ended up buying another outlet extender without the night light for our kitchen and all is well.
Also as a lesson learned I will measure things like this in the future to be sure of fit before purchasing.
I have an older house (built in 1925), had to modify the kickboard as the outlet was to close to it, works great, nightlight goes out when the overhead light is on, I have a cordless electric heater plugged into the face of it and can still use the USB plugs.
I plan on purchasing a second one for the hall outside of the bedroom.
I put in kitchen to create a “tech” center for the house. You can plug in kitchen appliances and charge your phone and tablet at same time. The automatic night light is my favorite feature. Highly recommended!
My outlets in my bathroom are loose and my Alexa flex and toothbrush charger kept falling out. I decided to try this since it has a screw to keep it in place and it is so amazing. I would buy more but I wouldn’t even know where to put them all. Lol. I’d even buy as Christmas gifts if I didn’t think it would be awkward for the recipients..
For home, have not tried it for traveling.
I feel it would be another small bulky thing for traveling, unnecessary!
Hotels have adaptive ready ports to use
I bought it to charge my iPhone. Shortly before it came, I bought a new iPhone that has a USB-C charger. Fortunately the outlet has a USB-C receptor; fortuitous.
It has a night light and more plugs that I can use for small appliances I had been switching between.
I made a good choice buying this product. It eliminates so many cords all over the room. The USB ports are great for charging multiple gadgets and the night light automatically comes on when the room is dark… Love it!!
The best cordless AC outlet ever! The biggest problem with all “Other” cordless AC outlets is that they will not stay plugged into the electrical outlet. As soon as you try to unplug a cord, the entire AC outlet falls out of the electrical box. It drives me crazy!! Not the POWLIGHT!! Remove the center screw that holds your outlet plate and plug the POWLIGHT into the outlet (you do not need to remove the plate). Take the included long center screw and screw the POWLIGHT directly into the outlet. The POWLIGHT is now tightly secured to the electrical outlet. It’s not going to budge! Look at the extra space you have for large electrical plugs! You have 3 USBs and 1 USB C to connect and charge your devices.
By the way, as soon as you plug the POWLIGHT into the AC outlet, the center LED turns green to let you know you are protected. If you blow up my pictures, the screw is surrounded by the green LED.
The media could not be loaded. Liked it so much I ordered 2 more. No instructions though, so it was unclear how to adjust the nightlight feature. The little sun/knob symbol at the top is touch sensitive for 3 levels of intensity or to turn the light off completely. Light auto turns off in the daylight.
To note: As stated in the description it will not screw into a GFCI outlet.
so, if you have an panel with both an outlet and a switch, there is not room for this. There might not be room for it on dial outlets either, but I don’t have one to try it out on.
I have plenty of similar styles of this particular device. I was skeptical at first. I thought the added night light would stay on 24hrs. I was glad to find that it does shut off and I believe it does not encumbered on power. It’s not super bright amd adds a nice brilliance of illumination to dark areas. It certainly helped when looking for a plug in darker areas. Looks like I’ll be replacing my other units with this one for sure.
Word of caution. Please be sure not to over draw on power. Like heavy use machines such as refrigerators, microwaves and washers. Some TVs and computer equipment draws a lot of power and these are not designed to protect your devices from power surges. Just keep that in mind when deciding if you need extra outlets or extra outlets with surge protection.
