Product Description
Cleaning bottles and sippy cups can be a hassle, but it doesn’t have to be. Use the OXO Tot Bottle Brush with Nipple Cleaner and Stand ($22.99, OXO) to make bottle cleaning a breeze. The brush is angled to fit perfectly into the spout of baby bottles, sippy cups, and infant formula containers, so you can easily clean them from the inside without removing the cap or getting the spout wet. The brush bristles are soft on baby’s gums, and the soft silicone nipple cleaner removes dried formula residue and bacteria from the nipple. The brush also nests neatly inside the stand, so you can keep your countertop or counter clear of clutter. Like the Tot Spoon, the Tot Bottle Brush is designed to make a parent’s job in the kitchen easier. The soft bristles easily clean baby bottles, cups, and sippy cups. The bottle brush’s sturdy handle makes it easy to grip when cleaning baby bottles, while its vented design allows steam to escape, making the bottle brush safe for your child. The Tot Bottle Brush and Stand has a soft rubber bumper to prevent scratches, while its portioned stand keeps bottles upright.
Facts About OXO Tot Bottle Brush with Nipple Cleaner and Stand, Gray
No. It’s better to use it without the baby.
That is one of the 2 reasons why I bought it. It is great for my coffee thermos and even batter for my babies milk bottle plus it has a small bristle on the handle that twists out for smaller spaces like the coffee lid.
It took a while for mine. Not sure where it traveled from, but it must have walked to my house.
I using this for any bottles. So it works for 11oz as well.
Yes you can! You can put it in a bottle sterilizer, soak it in a mild solution of bleach water for two minutes or put it in the dishwasher (put it on a stick thing so the bristles are up or in with the utensils).
I like it an use it. Purchased to clean the inside of the percolator coffee pot. I like how it has it’s own holder, however I will say that I frequently knock it over. I wish it had a suction bottom, but other that that it works well. I also recently used the tiny brush that comes with it and it also worked well.
You can put the brush in the dishwasher to clean it. I usually just buy a full replacement. I have not found extra heads
Hi!! The Brush has a flexible neck for easy reach inside bottles of different shapes and sizes.
Yes. Can be used with any bottle. I use them on mam and dr brown bottles just fine, also Have used it with tommee tippee and nuk
I believe it would be too small as a toilet brush
I am not sure the exact type of plastic, but it is very sturdy. The nipple cleaner is made from silicone.
Yes to comotomo. I use comotomo and it cleans quite well. However, be careful with putting too much pressure with the nipple cleaner part of this brush. I tore through one of the bottle nipples cleaning it.
There is the Big Brush as shown to clean the bottles and then attached to it is the smaller brush for cleaning the inside of the nipples
Info About OXO Tot Bottle Brush with Nipple Cleaner and Stand, Gray (Reviews From Amazon)
Okay, it’s a bottle brush but I’m going to share my opinion anyway! Things to know: its sturdy. The bristles are SOFT and not rigid. I don’t think they would scratch plastic and definitely won’t scratch glass. I don’t use it to clean bottles, I don’t have a baby. I use it to clean my coffee pot which is triangular shaped and only has a 3-in hole at the top so you can’t get your hand in there to scrub it. I also use it to wash stainless steel coffee cups and the sippy lids that go on them. The smaller nipple brush that is housed inside the handle is very convenient for getting in and around the nooks and crannies of these lids. If you’ve never scrubbed yours with a small brush like this you’re going to be grossed out, I promise you there is mold and mildew in there. The reason I bought it is I like that it has a stand instead of trying to prop it up somewhere around the sink. The stand is heavy enough that it won’t tip over I have mine on a window sill above the sink and even when it’s windy it does not blow over. I’m actually quite happy with this purchase and recommend it. Buy with confidence.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but this brush is life changing! I know, you’re thinking ‘it is just a bottle brush???’ Hear me out…
You likely have a baby or are currently baking one on the oven (be it your oven, or out-sourced) and are preparing to wash some bottles. (Or maybe you want to clean your meth making supplies…I don’t know, but I will judge you for the meth) Anyhow, you have A LOT of hand washing in your future. Yes, it only takes a few minutes….but it is every. freaking. day.
Don’t you want that experience to be a little less awful? Don’t you want to resent your spouse/partner/universe a little less when you are stuck washing up?
Trust me, there are lots of magical things with babies. Scrubbing bottles and breast pumps after a long day of work is not one of them.
This brush is so freaking ergonomic, the bristles feel like butter. The bottles practically wash themselves…no, not even close, but it is a lot easier.
Fine, don’t listen to me and save the $2 buying a lessar brush. You can remember I warned you every time you fleck bits of soapy old milk into your face because the bristles are too stiff. Seriously, I tried to save some money. I regretted it immediately.
Going back to this brush saved my marriage (that’s a blatant exaggeration), made me a better mom (also a lie), and made me procrastinate on washing baby supplies a little less (this you can take to the bank).
Go ahead, give them your money.
Third child, third brush. They work wonderfully and last forever. I’ve tried other brands/designs out of curiosity and boredom, but always come back to the OXO.
Love:
1. The brush works great. Just the right size and stiffness. Cleans bottles but doesn’t spray/splash everywhere.
2. The base that holds the brush makes the mundane more orderly and attractive. It also catches all the water that would otherwise pool on to the counter top. Keeps the brush clean and dry, and within reach!
3. You can replace the brush (buy just the replacement brush) without buying a new base
After having my munchkin brushes break on me, I decided to try another brand. This brush is taller than I expected (I guess I was just so used to the munchkin size), it actually does a much better job! It feels heavier and more sturdy which is something I actually like, and I absolutely love the stand it comes with. The bristles are the perfect size and offer such great flexibility when cleaning various bottles and pump parts. My munchkin brushes were smaller and would end up tearing on the sponge portion after using on Medela storage bottles. This brush is larger but still manage to clean them with such ease since the bristles are so soft and flexible. From Dr. Brown to meddle, to Lansinoh, to comotomo, to spectra it is perfect with every bottle! Best of all, it cleans my pump parts so much better, making the cleaning process so much easier!
I expect this brush to last a lot longer than the sponge-tipped one we had before. It still holds plenty of suds though, I was worried this one would use more soap but it doesn’t. The stand is super awesome.
My only slight issue with it is that is kind of hard to get the nipple cleaner out when your hands are all wet and soapy. But I felt it came off too easily with the last one, so it must be kind of hard to design. I don’t use it super often because the bristles from the main brush get into the nipples well, so it’s not a big enough issue to affect my rating.
If this one wears out, I’ll buy another of these. Don’t sterilize it though! I put mine in my microwave sterilizer because my fiance was handling raw meat near it and I wasn’t confident in how careful he was. It warped some of the bristles. It’s still usable but I won’t out it in there again.
These are my favorite brushes. I don’t have babies or baby bottles… I actually use them for all dish washing because I love how easy they rinse clean! I also use squeeze bottles frequently as I decorate cookies, and they are perfect for easily cleaning those out. I HATE sponges, scrubbies, or anything else that holds onto food particles and/or doesn’t dry quickly. I also disassemble them and run them in the dishwasher at least once a week…they hold up well. I’ve ordered probably 8 of them in the last year, they wear down a bit quicker simply because I use them for tougher use than baby bottles. I would highly recommend the ones with the stand, it is perfect for drying and neatness on your counter top!
This is a very good baby bottle brush. It does fit in my 0-3m baby bottles, even the skinny Dr. Brown and Medela bottles. I love the stand, which keeps it clean and helps it dry out so it doesn’t get gross. I also love that it has a spout for pouring out the water that collects in the holder. I’m especially grateful for the brush holder because my husband is prone to leaving brushes and dish-cleaning scrubbers in the sink with the dirty dishes, sometimes even in dirty water, and with the stand there he does that a lot less often. The only slight downside for me is that when you take the bottle scrubbing part off to get to the nipple scrubber, the bottle scrubbing part can’t be placed on the edge of the sink because the brush is too heavy and it falls in, and it can’t be placed in the holder like that either, so the brush has to sit in the sink or on the counter, which aren’t always clean. This is fine when I fill the sink and wash all the dishes in a sinkful of water, because that brush floats and the water is clean and soapy anyway, but when I just want to wash one bottle under running water, it is annoying.
I turned to the Oxo after an unfortunate (and short) experience with the Dr. Brown bottle brush. I was looking for a brush that had a firm stem rather than one of the wire extensions in order to avoid bending and eventual breaking. The Oxo brush delivered. It’s sturdy, and the bristles are soft but clean the insides of bottles and nipples well. The push lock and twist feature to reach the nipple brush in the handle is also nice and convenient for families who don’t already have a separate set of brushes for their unusual and hard to reach places. The only negatives would be that the brush tends to fling sprays of soap suds while you’re using it (as you pull the brush from the bottle, if you twist it while cleaning smaller storage bottles, or if you use it to clean pump parts) and the stand it sits in slides around since it doesn’t suction to the counter, so you need to pay attention to avoid accidentally pushing it and dropping the brush if you’re putting it back. However, I’m happy with this bottle brush overall, and I’m hopeful it will last longer than the last one. If it does, I would happily buy this product again.
I realize that this brush is intended for baby bottles, but it works great as a water bottle brush or brush for washing cups/glasses. I like to use a separate brush for dishes that possibly have food debris and my glassware that is generally free of anything solid. Therefore, it shouldn’t be a stiff brush, needs to be sufficiently long in the handle, and needs good bristles at the very tip of the brush. This product fits those needs, plus has the nifty little holder to keep it up on the counter out of my sink. I didn’t know how much I would like the holder until I had it — very minimal space needed, catches most water drops, and gets it out of the way! I would highly recommend for those of us who have adult glassware and bottles that don’t go through the dishwasher.
It’s a bottle brush, why review it?
Honestly though, This is the third one I’ve bought now because I love it so much. Everything about it is surprisingly amazing. I read the reviews just now after deciding if I should review it because who really puts much thought into a bottle brush? I’ll tell you, after trying out others from Walmart, this one will always be my go to. I will probably always have one even when the baby bottle phase is done. I’m unsure why some reviews are 1 star. It wears after time as a normal brush should, but I buy another because it’s super convenient in every way, especially with the stand. It looks better than most brushes, and it even comes with the nipple cleaner, as well as a hole in the bottom of the stand so you can drain any water that catches in there.
If yours grew mold or the bristles fell off after a short time I don’t know what to tell you? You must be doing it wrong… it comes with an upright stand so mold shouldn’t happen whatsoever.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Vinyl’s new bottle brush and nipple cleaner set is dishwasher safe and features a new silicone nipple cleaner. Vinyl recommends using your new bottle brush on your water bottle or baby’s paci. The new bottle brush also comes with a OXO Tot Bottle Brush Holder and OXO Tot Bottle Brush Stand.
