Loose where it may fall out, no. Not as tight though as if there was a center screw. Still, the item is well made and works as intended.
It cannot be plugged into a horizontal outlet in the bathroom.
The "thing" you mentioned is just to provide extra support to extender surge and try to prevent unwanted movements when you connect or disconnect any plug from the extender outlets.

Thank you for your question. You will just need to look at the electrical specs of your refrigerator and make sure it does not exceed the electrical specs of this wall tap which are 125V AC, 15A, 1875W
Hello Deanna Bridges, thank you for your question. It is not recommended that power strips are plugged into other surge protectors.
Hello Steve M, thank you for your question. If the hospital bed doesn’t exceed the electrical specs of this wall tap which are 125V AC/15a/1875W
Sorry, there’s no place in the center for drilling a hole. However, there IS a post in the center between the plug ins for added stability, so it stays level against the wall. It’s a sturdy socket all by itself.
Yes, it has surge protection

Hello Steve Online Guy, thank you for your question. Electrical Rating 125VAC/15A/1875W and Voltage Protection Rating 900V (L-N)
Woudnt hurt to buy higher voltage rating or a heavy duty plug. You could use this as long as the appliances have standard 120v 3 prong grounded plug.

I needed a surge protector for our utility closet. However the outlet is so close to the wall/ door frame that none of the other surge protectors fit. Then I saw this Philips 6 outlet surge protector. With it’s curved design it fit perfectly on the awkward outlet location.
And with it’s 900 jules of protection, it’s perfect to protect our dyson vacuum, drill and battery charger.
It’s not screwed into the outlet like other brands but if I’m not going to be unplugging these devices often at all. It plugs securely in the outlet. Highly recommended.
Great multi-plug!! I needed a multi-plug surge protector for my kitchen and livingroom. I was extremely happy when these arrived! There is plenty of space between the 2 sections of the 3 plug areas and they look great on the wall!
Usually not much thought goes into buying plugs, outlets, etc., however considering it’s your primary defense or “protection” from a surge or surges (in bad electrical areas) ruining thousands of dollars in electronics maybe there should be. Philips, a well-known, higher quality brand with deep history, should be a fine choice for surge protection & outlet extension. Upon set-up or plug-in it seems to be working as it should, with all connected items running & the surge protection light coming on instantly. Only time shall tell, however I can already state that I LOVE not having a cord to hide, deal with while cleaning or any strip of outlets on the floor. Hopefully this simple unit provides the same quality protection as those more cumbersome units do. Also, I’m a big fan of the color options, as I’ll opt for black on most home items over other color options & the price ($8) was certainly a fair one, if not lower than I expected. The only not a negative, but curiousity I do have (other than protection ability) is in the design shape, as it is kind of an awkward one unless you are putting two more outlet spots on each side, as the unit sticks out far enough to have added those or certainly USB-type attachments. I’m sure it is an option in those other units for an addidional cost so maybe the designer/factory just decided on a single frame molding for what will eventually be multiple variations of surve-protection, outlet-extender units.
I am trying to clear up some cord clutter from my new work from home office setup now that I’m nice and settled in, so I wanted to replace my traditional power strip with something more compact and better for cable management. This one was at a good price point with good ratings. I’ve got my monitor, laptop, and speakers hooked up to it and it definitely reduced cord clutter. It’s compact to the wall and not too visually intrusive, other than the (dim) blue surge protection indicator light. I also am more confident that it can support all three devices electricity-wise vs something smaller and slightly cheaper.
This unit secures itself to the second outlet via a plastic pin that inserts itself into the ground of the second outlet. Many others I’ve seen used a screw through the unit into the screw hole on your wall plate and since I live in an apartment I didn’t want to go that route just in case I somehow messed something up. So I like the plastic pin solution to steady it a little. However, it feels like if I were to try and unplug one of my cables it would pull the entire unit off from the outlet. It can rock a little from side to side when I plug something in, probably because my outlets stick out a little from the wall plate. So I just have to be careful when plugging in or unplugging something.
Overall it does its job at a great price point, so if you are looking for a more compact power strip alternative this is a great option.
We bought this for an outlet in our kitchen which regularly has lots of things plugged into it. The previous outlet extender(?) we had plugged in only had 3 spots and it didn’t have surge protection.
I did a search and came across a few that I was interested in but this one was the best option for the price, so we ordered it!
It arrived and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and construction of the item, after all, I only paid about $7.50 for the product. We’ve had zero issues since we plugged it into the outlet. I’ll definitely be buying again for other rooms in our house!
This is a great little surge protector. I didn’t have any issues with either of the two I purchased fitting in my outlets. I was concerned that the blue light on the surge protector that indicates your devices are being protected might be too bright. I have one of the surge protectors in the outlet next to my bed, and I thought the light might interfere with my sleep. That is not the case. While the light is visible, it’s muted enough that it doesn’t bother me.
I’ve already recommended this product to a family member, and I would recommend it to you.
I love that these outlet extenders double as surge protectors. I originally bought this two-pack to protect my two pre-lit Christmas trees, but even after they’ve been stored, I use them as protection when I charge my iPad or plug in other devices. By extending the outlets, I can plug in a vacuum cleaner without unplugging something else. They hug the wall in an unobtrusive ways and even look nice, thanks to their glossy plastic housing and curved design. I especially like that the top bank and the bottom are separated by enough space to use larger plugs.

I purchased this after a surge blew the adaptor for one of our ring cameras. It rendered the adapter useless so after replacing the cord, I wanted a simple surge protector. We also plugged our wifi repeater unit. I was concerned that plugging in the node might dwindle the signal or speed of the internet but both devices don’t seem affected one bit. Great device, it protects your electronics.
These plugs caught my eye when searching for “turquoise office accessories”. Rarely do you ever find this type of plug in any color other than white. But to find a package of 4 for $19 is unbelieveable. Plus they are Phillips brand. They arrived quickly and were shipped securely. The white are bright white but heads up–the backs are grey but that doesn’t really show very much. They do (as do all surge protectors) have the dreaded blue light showing it is protected but that is easily remedied by electrical tape. I wish that the coral and turquoise had packs of 4 but I had to settle for a bit higher price and purchased those in packs of 2. I will update when they arrive. All seem to work as intended and I am quite happy with the purchase.
For the price these were easily purchased to support 6 outlets divided among 2 bedrooms. Fed up with electrical surge outages: off and back on blowing out electrical items. Only one AC unit in the living room and fans are required to circulate the cooled air down the hall and into 2 bedrooms. Running household HEPA air purifiers and fans are expected to last into more than one year. Frustrating sitting through intermittent outages and losing my electrical appliances. Each bedroom has it’s own tv and cable as well now all protected from abrupt surges. Feeling peace of mind having installed these after losing another fan this summer.
