Newer version is certified for Skype and Zoom

Can you use it with a business computer using a dongle and not have to download off a disc?

Yes.

I love these, but the range is horrible in my house. Any tricks? They disconnect as soon as I walk out of the bedroom that my computer is in.

I do not have any tricks. I can go about 200′ before it cuts out on me. (my computer room and out my front door)

I need replacement ear cushions, not the outside, the inside foam. What are the specifications or model number?

Please note only the leatherette ear pads are replaceable, not the inside foam. This model does count with a manufacturer’s warranty. For further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at: 800-985-9815.

How is the quality of the noise cancelation?

About 50% of all sound is deadened around me, which is just about right for me. I have a fan constantly running in the room and even when nothing is playing in the headset that sound is very much in the background.

Without the Poly BT600 USB Bluetooth adapter, PC/MAC Bluetooth systems do not typically provide capability to use the call control from the headset itself. Calls must be managed from the PC/MAC GUI and some of the buttons on the headset may not. Consequently, this provides a poor user experience. Additionally, the USB Bluetooth adapter also functions as an audio processor, which assures the best audio experience through wideband audio support—providing the highest voice quality. If connected directly to the PC/MAC via native Bluetooth, wideband audio is not possible. For more details, please don’t hesitate to contact our Customer Care Team at: 800-985-9815

does anyone else get complaints that you are cutting in and out when using this headset? Day one of using and I’ve had three meetings with complaints

Info About Poly – Voyager Focus UC with Charge Stand (Plantronics) – Bluetooth Dual-Ear (Stereo) Headset with Boom Mic – USB-A Compatible with PC and Mac – Active Noise Canceling – Works with Teams, Zoom & more (Reviews From Amazon)

So Convenient

I can’t believe I haven’t had them for work all along.
I use it them for work, I work in admissions for a local university and regularly speak with students each day, as well as communicate with other members of our staff through Microsoft teams (since we are all remote). This headset has a button on one ear that opens up Teams which is a great feature I wasn’t aware of. The noise cancellation is pretty good, and the charging stand that comes with the headset might be my favorite thing since I don’t have to actively plug them in and it looks nicer than them just laying on my desk. I haven’t used them for music so I can’t speak to the music control on the other ear. I love that the mute button is on the bottom side of the mic where it can’t accidentally be pressed.
The usb has a light on the edges of it and indicates if your mic is in use or muted which I really like.
When you turn the headset on it tells you how much battery life in hours you have as well as what it’s connected to, that’s really important to me so I know if the charge will last through the end of my shift or not, but they seem to charge quickly. I had them on the base for about an hour and they got 5 more hours of talk time.
I regularly get up and am away from my pc when speaking and I haven’t had any connectivity issues, for reference my home is about 1,200 sqft.
The sound quality is great too. Overall I’m glad I spent the extra money to have what seems to be a reliable and quality product.

Highly Recommended -Best Headset for Work from Home for Online Conferences

1+ month after using this headset from a working professional whose majority of the day goes in Online Conference via Zoom, MS Teams , Cisco Webex and Phone Calls . This review is after trying Sennheiser, Bose , Beats Headsets in the past 2 months

Pros :
1.Comfort – Light and sits easy on Head . Unlike the Bose , Beats, Sennheiser which are bulky .Those headsets are more for listening to quality music
2.COnnectivity – I don’t use Bluetooth on Laptop for connecting this one. Use the USB Dongle . Works like a charm
3.Dual Connectivity – Effortless connectivity of the headphone between my Laptop and Phone. I have stopped using AirPods for Phone after getting this headset
4.Battery Life – Full Charge of 14 + hours takes me through 2-3 working days . I still keep on charging it after it goes below 5 hours . With the Charger stand provided with the set , it is easy to charge right there and then.
5.Sound Quality – Good. All the Headsets I had bought for my ‘Experiments with Headset’ had brilliant sound quality. I am able to hear clearly the other side. I did not hear anyone complaining about my sound in any of the conference calls or phone calls
6.Range – Its just OK . I can roam about in 5-10 odd feet without breaking but beyond that , loose the connection altogether .For a Work COnference Call , its enough to stretch around the room . Unless someone is expecting to do gardening outside while taking call this has enough Range
7.Ease of Usage – Buttons are easy to work with . Its prompts while on Mute help.Plantronics Hub app on both Laptop and Phone are quintessential and helpful

Cons :
1.Range – Would have loved to get a better range .5-10 feet sometimes is too less when I want to make Coffee in kitchen while taking a call OR Attend someone at the Front Door .
2.Price – Plantronics can probably bring the cost around USD 100 . $ 150 still is high .
3.Quality – This part is bitter sweet. The lightweight Headset makes it easy to work with all day , however this lightweight also makes it frail to be broken VERY Easily .

Teaching virtually is so much better with these!

I have been using this unit for 5 weeks. Ease of use is A+++ Plug and go with USB drive or download the software. I use the USB. Quality sound ( I’m picky). Starts to break up when I’m downstairs but reasonable range. So much better than being leashed to my computer with a wire 😉 I appreciate that it notifies me when mute is on or off. The only downfall is price. I’m glad I got a high quality unit since I wear it 5 – 8 hours for work. I hang it up at night and always have plenty of battery. Nice charging stand too.

On headset to rule them all

I bought this for my home office based on a previous positive experience, and I couldn’t be happier. Sound quality is excellent – and bonus, it’s also excellent for music. Voice is crisp and clear and music is very balanced, with good bass response and no muddiness. The headset connects to my PC and my mobile phone and switching between devices is a breeze. The headset also has sensors and will answer a call when you pick it up (if you want it to). The boom mic can swing up out of the way if you’re just listening, and has a mute button on it. The other headset controls are intuitive, allowing start/stop/skip for audio playback and has a very satisfying feel to the volume control.

Bottom line, you could probably spend quite a bit less, but you truly get what you pay for and this is a top-quality headset that you won’t regret buying. Highly recommended.

Good quality BT headset for work calls

Not an audiophile but call quality is good enough for work calls. No complaints from other end and hour-long proceeded softly with no one complaining that they can’t hear me.

Build quality is ok. Paired easily with 2 Windows 10 PC’s using either built-in bluetooth in the PC or the supplied BT dongle from the headset. Tested playing Spotify and all the buttons on the headset works (play/pause, next, and previous). One cool thing, it automatically pauses music/video when you take off the headset. Likewise, incoming call is answered when you put it on.

A few quibbles:

– Installed Plantronics Hub software which allows you to view status of headset (including battery/talk time remaining) or chang settings on the headset, e.g. whether to pause/resume music when an incoming call comes in. However, it will not recognize the headset when it’s connected to the laptop’s built-in bluetooth. It only works if I use the dongle.

– I can never get the mute button on the headset work with MS Teams.

– Sucks that only the headset was delivered – the charging stand is missing! Customer care sorted it out though and did a partial refund which allowed me to buy the stand separately.

Excellent for customer service work!

Love these headphones! I’ve been working from home doing customer service work and headphones are an essential part of my daily life! My old cheap headset was in need of a replacement and I decided to spend the money to get a nice wireless headset. It was definitely money well spent as these have an excellent design and features for the price! The smart sensors that automatically answer a call when you put the headphones on is something I had no idea existed but now can’t imagine living without. I’ve had them for a few days so I can’t speak to reliability or durability but these are my favorite headphones out of the few I’ve tried since last July.

Conference Call King

I’ve used this headset daily for over 2 years. It is the best headset for conference calls. It is very comfortable. I have no issues wearing it all day. I love that it can be connect to my PC and phone at the same time. The mic is great. It doesn’t pick up all the noise around me. I love the mute button on the mic. But, it doesn’t work with my phone (works great with PC).

Before this I used Creative USB, Bose QC 25, Sony XM3, and Bose 700 (and others). Those all have much better noise canceling, but even the Bose 700 aren’t CLOSE to the Focus in call quality. The Sony’s are completely unusable. Somehow the Sony mic picks up background chatter 20 feet away just as strongly as my voice making them useless for conference calls.

I like these so much that I bought a second set to keep at home. I wish they made an over-the-ear version. My dream headset would be the Bose 700 with a great boom mic. That would have the best of noise canceling and mic. But, I haven’t found anything like that.

Easy and Clear

Using these primarily for computer audio and Video conferencing via WebEx and MS Teams. Easy to set up. Clear sound.

Worth it

I am in a range of middle class that lives comfortably – my daughter gets fed (she doesn’t eat it, but the food is available to her), I’ve got all the streaming services and the bills get paid… but I’m more poor than rich when it comes down to it. So spending a significant amount of money on a headset for WORK isn’t generally on my top priority list. However, of all the headsets I’ve had, this one is genuinely worth the extra money.

For one, it’s very comfortable. There’s a strap on top that fits snugly against the head, independent of the adjustable hard arch that holds the earpieces. With a wonky shaped head like mine, this is a game changer. The ear pads are comfortably padded (although after 8 hours can start to grind a little, but that’s the case with just about anything). The mic boom I suspect is mostly just for show at this point, but I appreciate it being there – long enough to pick up sound well but short enough to not get in my way or pick up moustache noise. The buttons are conveniently placed, and actually function with RingCentral (which I can’t say for other headsets that claimed would… won’t say its name but it rhymes with Jabra).
The active noise cancelling was kinda shocking. I’ve had noise cancelling headphones before, but this successfully cuts out nearly all of the house noise when working from home (kinda jarring when I take it off and hear the dryer and cat fountain and kid shows I’ve been missing).

So I ramble, but if you’re like me and squeemish about the price but really want a decent headset when you’re stuck on the phone/video calls all day… Just go for it. It’s worth it. And make sure you’re getting the one with the stand too. It may seem like an luxury item, but it changes everything. I’ve got a place to keep my headset so it isn’t just *wherever* on my desk, and it charges it. I never have a dead battery because I forgot to charge it overnight! Well, one time, but that’s not the headset’s fault.

Easy to use

I bought these for use while at work when I want to listen to music but must be available to take calls as well. Connecting these to my Yealink phone, my Samsung mobile phone, AND my PC at the same time was easy. The device only works reliably with two devices connected at a time such as a PC or laptop and a mobile phone, but it does work reliably. The charging station/dock is a nice added feature, as well as automatic pausing of music when the headset is removed.
The headset does begin to bother my ears after an entire day of use, but this is hardly to be unexpected. Well worth the money.
