Don’t do it, my friend. Electric heaters should be plugged directly into the wall (see the instructions). This power strip is good for a total of 900 joules (900 watts/sec). It could pose a fire hazard if you plugged an electric heater into it, even if nothing else was plugged into it. Play it safe.

Buy a new one? Sounds like excessive use. If you got a year out of it you got your monies worth♥️

I’ve never had one of these power strips with built in USB ports so I gave this a shot. It being summer, I had the addition of an air conditioner needing to be plugged in alongside my alarm clock, laptop, phone charger, and whatever else.
I use the air conditioner plugged into the wall, and this plugged into the wall, and it’s a real space saver, and I don’t need to plug in an actual charger, I can just plug the USB in, it’s great.
I’ve experienced no red flags (funny smells or sparking), since it was so inexpensive I always wonder about that type of thing… and skeptical about power management when I’m plugging my phone directly in. It’s lightweight, but just heavy enough that it doesn’t feel cheap or poorly made. Also, it sits correctly on the floor (outlets facing straight up at the ceiling), where I have another power strip that isn’t properly balanced and constantly flips on its side (where it’s master switch is) and cuts power to my stuff. So not dealing with that already makes me want to purchase another one of these.
The cord length seems good, honestly I forget how long it is (6 feet?) and I never unfurled the cord. it’s got a nice Velcro strap to keep the cord wrapped up, and I left it as is, so it sits nicely beneath the outlet.
Exactly as pictured and described – Would buy again.
Two complaints The screw mounting holes only allow the cord to be on the right side which then means the outlets are upside down. (Dump design.) If you need the cord to be on the right the mounting screws are upside down but at least the outlets are right side up.
The other stupid design is the plug on the end of the power cord is at 90 degrees and slightly larger than most plugs. If you need to plug something else in to the wall outlet this MUST be plugged in to the bottom outlet. If plugged into the top outlet the cord would cover the bottom outlet. (Dumb) And because their plug is a bit larger the most I had a very hard time getting something plugged in to the top outlet.
Still I gave it 5 stars.
I have been look for a power strip to mount on the wall by a small counter in the kitchen. This fits perfectly. It is very well made. It comes with slots in the back for mounting. The 3 USB charging ports was most useful. Now I can charge and watch movie on my iPad in the kitchen (together with other devices) while cooking meals.
What a great power strip! Perfect for my needs. 3 USB ports is perfect and so are the 5 110 plugs. Love the finish. The brushed black looks really good on my black desk. Shipped fast and delivered without damage. Thank you!
This extension cord is a very, very welcome addition to my office supply stash. I love that it can charge my phone without taking valuable outlet space, and I really had no idea how many items I have that can plug into either a regular plug or a USB port. I bought the power strip initially for that “just in case” scenario but am using it full-time now, and I just ordered two more. Will most likely be back to get another one or two for my husband, “just in case.”
I adore this, it had just the amount of plugs I needed and fits nicely on my desk. The cords long enough to reach just about any space on a large desk and the mountable feature is always available. My only complaint is with the USB portion. It works but it works poorly, in the amount of time it takes my phone to fully charge from the wall outlet it only get to maybe 20 using the slot on this. Otherwise I’m very happy with my purchase 🙂
I included a photo of my bed so you can see how big and bulky it is. No matter how I position it, the outlet will either be blocked or too far.
I needed any extension cord that also had usb ports because nowadays, most chargers/ plugs come that way. I also needed it next to my bed since I sleep with my phone, play games on it all night, and use it as my alarm (I’m sure none of this is foreign for many).
I also have an oil diffuser that I use when I go to bed . . . There’s just always something that needs to be plugged in and close to me.
My bed frame comes with a “port hole” for a cord. I’m finally able to use it. All other extension cords were always too short in length. This one is absolutely perfect. The cord length is almost as long as my full bed (sorry i didn’t take a photo).
If I ever need another extension cord, I will definitely get another one of these!
I needed a reliable power surge cord that wasn’t too bulky but was just right for my Son’s needs. This SUPERDANNY 5 Outlet offers just what I needed at a great price. The 5 outlets perfectly serve the need of charging his Mac & Amazon Echo with an outlet left if needed. The 3 USB outlets are also perfect for what he needs. The 4-1/2” long cord is long enough to get to the outlet under his bed & swing around to the side. The charging power is outstanding. I’m happy I chose this brand. Excellent quality for the price. I do recommend!
I bought a couple of these to replace some white protectors that I have been using for a while that seemed to have gone a bit yellowish due to age.
I specifically looked for black so that the build up from the cleaner wouldn’t show up like it did with my old ones.
I also like that these are mountable, allowing me to tuck them away and ensure that they don’t move around. I rigged one up under my desk and have the laptop and printer plugged in as well as a charger. Mounting it keeps it and the cables off the floor so I don’t accidentally roll over it with the chair or kick it.
Only negative is that the charging speed really slows down if you have more than one device plugged into the usb ports.
Overall good quality at a decent price of ~$15 each.
Mounted on the back of my nightstand to hide all of the cords. Worked well
