Caution here. It is only 18 gauge. Adequate for my use, but lighter than most.
Although this power strip says it’s rating is 2100 joules ( measurement of energy), if you read the desp. it’s only 1680 joules. For expensive gaming consoles you should have at least 2000+ joules of protection. Buy one that is rated higher than this one. Hope this helps.
It has an FCC and ETL symbol, and a statement that it complies with a certain UL standard. These are stamped into the plastic.
Mine is already on the wood in the garage. It is a PIA to install with the screws, and each company should create a template and provide a set of screws or have a better design. The older ones have end slots to place screws as supports from the front as well. I would recommend using an 8*5 by 11 sheet of paper and crea… Mine is already on the wood in the garage. It just sounds better to say it’s more joules than it actually is. Just make sure if you’re using it for a gaming system that it is 2000 joules or more. More is better.
I guess I wouldn’t let babies use any power strips even a little bit…?
I use it all the time. I have things plugged in such as my clock that run all the time. There is no time limit.
The clamping voltage of this power strip is 600V
Mine too!
I didn’t actually measure with tape or anything, but I will tell you this: it is not 8 feet. No way is it 8 feet. Judging from the placement of the strip & the electronics plugged into it, it’s a little bit of a tight stretch to reach the wall outlet.
It’s 1680 joules. Not enough for a gaming console. You need 2000+ joules for most large units.
No, I tried mine and it would not work.
I would say a few ounces maybe – with cord, maybe a pound or so.
it’s a inch and a half wide not very wide at all should have no problem with putting it through that hole or you can just run the plug wire through that hole.
Its a electronicdevice, (due to the built-in surge protection, if nothing else, so I’d honestly be amazed if it didn’t. Plus it has the "don’t throw in the trash" image on the bag. Avoid using it to stir your food, or as a chew toy for your dog, and you should be OK.

So unlike most charging cords, the button does NOT have a light that lights up when on, if you look directly below the power switch there is a small blue light that lights up when powered on. The length is a plus and also how there are 3 USB ports on it.
This is a handy power strip with a slim design. The USB charging ports are a really good addition to the power strip. I used this to nearly organize my son’s electronics. I appreciated the extra spacing on the end – it accommodated a larger charging box without losing use of another spot.
This was perfect…I have an electric stand up / sit down desk. I was able to connect everything, use the USB’s for my phone charger, and tuck this under the desktop and hide the chords!
This is perfect for my husband’s bedside. There’s room to plug in his clock, his CPAP, his CPAP cleaner and lamp, plus USB ports for his work and personal phones. The cord length is just right and charging is fast.
I like this power strip quite a bit. It’s really good for USB charging as well. All in all, a good thing to have
Needed a power strip for granddaughter to use with computer in dining room. This fit the bill. Nice spacing on plugs. As described and delivered as promised.
Awesome power strip especially with 3 USB ports at the end and one Outlet spaced apart so that big plugs will fit next to others! Great buy!! 👍
The shape of the plug makes it harder to be accidentally yanked out of the wall or fall out of a looser outlet, and it works amazingly well. The USB ports for charging are also super convenient and save a lot of space, and they charge phones and tablets super fast too.
This was a perfect solution to help reduce clutter in our RV by providing convenient power and eliminating the charging blocks for phone and other devices.
This works great behind my desk due to the flat plug.
