I had the same problem. I ran a 1/4” 20 thread tap through it. Then it worked. Apparently it’s a factory defect.

Track come without balls balls are sold individually. Hobie doesn’t sell them anymore through their dealers but you can buy them online through ram

Good question. It appears that Bert’s track is wider and thinner, so their plates are bigger but thin. I think Bert’s is a system to it’s own, and does not match the "T-track" gadgets.

It should work with any trac system…Inuse it in the YakAttack aluminum rail system…works fine

The mount is on my boat and I don’t want to remove it but if you want to know what the dimensions are just find the specs on the standard track site.

Yes, this ball would work will with an Old Town Kayak track.

I’ve no idea what that is, however, your system uses standard "T" type attachments, then it probably will work.

Perfectly. The seller quickly replaced the defective one and Ram acknowledged the issue and corrected it immediately. I always use Ram whenever possible. They have and make the best.

No, I’m afraid this ball is not compatible with the Lund Sport-Track.

We do offer a C size trackball. The part number for that ball is, RAP-354U-TRA1.

This part uses a 1/4"-20 x 7/8" T-Bolt, so I would check that the rail system on an Xpress Boat has a track that will fit that T-Bolt. The RAM bolt will fit inside the track and work, but it will need a drop in point or an open end on the track.

I had purchased the YakAttack Switchblade Transducer Mount Deployment Arm and wanted to mount my Garmin Striker 4 to it.
Beside this Ram Track Ball, I also purchased the Circular Aluminum Drill Base Adapter with 1″ Rubberized Ball and the RAM Composite Double Socket Arm.
This track ball mounts to the top of the transducer mount allowing me to attach the composite arm and then the base adapter to the arm. Then my Garmin to the base adapter.
Works great, looks great, it’s lightweight and secure.
I don’t recommend using this ball for mounting or attaching heavy items. The Garmin Striker 4 weighs about 8 oz and with the other pieces I used to mount it, the whole setup probably doesn’t exceed 1 lbs.

I have just started switching all of my vehicle cell phone and tablet mounts to Ram products. This trackball works perfectly with the composite rail that you can also find on Amazon. I love how easy it is to connect and relocate different Track Balls. if you want to move it, just turn it counter clock-wise and it can slide in the track, to mount for use, just turn the ball clock-wise until it’s tight.

Used the ball mounts with a 3” track system to mount my ham radio and phone to my truck. Very happy with how they came out.

Hard to review something that looks like a butt plug – but I can only say that I have been with RAM the last 15 years and their quality is outstanding. Had a problem once – customer Service as good as their products. Great to have ONE system for car, motorcycle, home and RV.

Not many mounting options for the Livewire ts+ tuner so I made my own using the Ram system!

I love problem solving with RAM parts.
I needed to add a 7″ monitor for a rear view camera. The monitor has what’s called a “T-slot”. I can slide this into the T-slot, tighten it down and then attach it to any other RAM arm (I already have)

The RAM Mount 1" Diameter Track Ball with T Bolt Attachment works fantastic. I have two tracks mounted on the port and starboard sides of my kayak and use the track ball to mount my Video camera to my kayak. It works fantastic to secure my camera to my boat capturing alternative angles for my paddling trips. It is easy to adjust the mount and move it on the track. I highly recommend this Ram mounting System as it has become a critical piece of equipment for capturing video for my kayaking trips.

I recieved this product about a month ago with the problem of the t nut not screwing into the ball joint. I sent one email with no REPLY. I brought it back up to them a couple months later and no questions asked they sent me a brand new, functional ram ball joint. Thanks for making the moment right for me as a CUSTOMER. I understand mishaps happen but it takes a lot of care for the customer to right your wrong. I LOVE MY NEW BALL JOINT! Thanks Ram team!

I had to grind the edges of the t-bolt down a little to fit the track on my tracker boat, but they worked great. I ended up taking them off and adding blue loctite to them the second time i took the boat out as they will back off a little over time.

I use these on my 80/20 rails to mount cameras and other equipment. Excellent quality. Never an issue with Ram Mount products.
