Pretty sure it should work just fine.

I mounted it on my rago dash mount screw holes are 3inches apart.
Yes, this mount would be compatible with a phone that wide as long as the phone is not more than .875" deep.
Hello Christian. Yes, that X-Grip holder for large phones will work well with your iPhone 11 ProMax with a case.
No, this cradle will not work with the Mini 5. Similar holder slightly large will work. Similar kit, ram-b-138-un8u, if you want the diamond base you would need to order the ram-b-238u, ram-b-201u and ram-hol-un8bu. Thanks The Mount Depot.

I do not have an iPhone but I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (a large phone) with the following dimensions: 162.5 x 74.8 x 8.6 mm
The Ram Mount works great for it!
This mount will work as long as your phone and case are not more than 4.5" wide and .875" deep.
I have several of these. You have to mount to the the base to the dash or were ever you need it mounted
If you’re referring to 3M double-sided industrial foam tape, I would be concerned the mechanical connection between the foam tape and the mount’s base would be too rigid (and the phone too heavy), that in time it would fail. A more flexible mount is needed in order to absorb the stress, imv. The X-Grip’s …grip has a lot of tension on it. It’s base is going to have forces on it when you’re mounting and unmounting your phone. The suction cup would provide that flexibility and the foam tape would keep the suction cup anchored to the surface you have it mounted on (e.g. dash)..
I’ve used 3M industrial foam tape + suction cup for dash mounting devices over the years. Works well. In this case, that might be the best way to go. I’ve never had a mount with that much tension on it tho. If a suction cup + foam tape fails, might need to use something more solid that employs fasteners (screws).
I have my X-Grip mounting on a RAM-DESK. Tho it can be a bit of a pain sometime getting it on and off, it’s the best phone mount I’ve ever had. No more phone falling down on the floor of my truck when I’m driving 70mph on a freeway and there’s no turn off for miles..
Well, that’s my dollar two ninety-eight cents worth. Hope it helps or sparks some ideas. Good luck & enjoy the X-Grip!
Yes, it is complete,
We don’t supply the screws but you can use any screws from the hardware store that fit.
I’m afraid not. This mount is for a large cell phone and would not be able to support that tablet. We would recommend RAM-HOL-UN8BU for the Dell Venue 8.

Holds onto my 6s Plus tighter then I can clench my buttcheeks
Keeps the phone in place over the roughest terrain. This is a secure mount, and adds a rubber ‘tether’ net for when things get really rough. The base requires drilling of 2 holes, and I’d advise getting a couple small fender washers if you’re mounting to plastic. Putting a phone in the mount will require 2 hands (one with the phone, the other to hold open the spring loaded arms) but it’s worth it knowing it will keep your phone visible and off the floor.
Wish I’d’ve purchased this years ago. No more fishing for my phone when it’s popped out of the holder whilst I’m on the road. Have it attached to my RAM Desk laptop mount in my truck. Added on a double ball adapter and a 2.42″ x 1.75″ low profile socket arm. Between the two arms and the double ball adapter, am able to position the phone in an optimal position for road travel. Leaps and bounds better than any mount I’ve used in a vehicle.
Currently, the phone I’m using is a Samsung Note 9 *with Otterbox Defender case (which is a heavy duty case). The only issue I’ve had is lining up the phone on the mount so it isn’t depressing any buttons. Takes a bit of practices but it’s do’able. That’s it, tho. My only problem (which I’ve resolved).
This thing grips my iPhone XS Max like a champ. It is very large and I don’t think it is meant for phones but my iPhone with a case on it it grabs just at the corners so I have no issues with it pushing volume and lock buttons like other reviewers stated. I have no worries about my phone coming loose even over bumps and doing wheelies. Holds like a champ. I bought the six inch arm extension which now makes it shake a little on the highway but barely noticeable. The arms it came with there was little to no movement.
I attach this to a dash mount that I got for my 4runner and it works great. The only thing that I would do different, would be, I’d get a shorter one so it doesn’t impede my view out the windshield as much from where I mounted it.
I love these mounts. This is my second one for me. The ram mount it’s self is very durable and showed zero signs of giving up anytime soon after 5 years. I don’t trust the 2 little screws I have to use attaching it to the dash plastic of my RAM truck. I suggest a even layered amount of clear gorilla glue to make it bomb proof.
This was my first RAM mount I’ve ever purchased. I will always go with their products from now on. I mounted in a Kawasaki Teryx about six months ago and it’s done great. I use a iphone 6 plus with otter box and it fits fine.
This mount will be used on track (I rated suction low because its a non-suction mount) so I needed the diamond base to ensure it won’t go anywhere. Got it all installed, its solid, should hold my phone well and not allow it to pop out. Real test comes on track this weekend, so we’ll see!
In my 4Runner there’s really no good place to keep my phone, the x-grip brings things up close and easy to reach and see.
I bought this device, I think it is a perfect device, it works well, it matches the pictures shown, fast shipping, thank you
