Yes. You do not need to use the video connection. I used this module to hook an XM Sirius Onyx radio to my smart TV. . If you do need a video connection, this is the best one I have used to date. It works with VCRs.

No, it does not.

The only thing I can think of is that your tv might not be set to the same resolution as the converter. If the input of your HDMI port is set to 4k and you are sending it a 720p signal it may not recognize it.

What is an old wii? We purchased ours in 2015 and it works fine.

I connected my VCR to my new TV that does not have RCA composite connections, which is weird. These should stay not matter how advanced technology becomes in my opinion. This little guy worked great, quality of picture and sound was good as to be expected with a VHS. I would recommend it.

First time using a Nintendo64 system.
Actually purchased when multi-input Smart TV showed “No Signal” when connected to N64 console with original Co-Ax,
and also with a N64 out to A/V red,yellow,white cable.
Then tried next move which was N64 out to HDMI cable. Again… TV indicated “No Signal”.
Needed upscaled signal.
… ordered this RCA to HDMI… and now NENTENDO GAMES RUNNING GREAT.
So that’s how a week of experimenting to finally get the N64 displaying went.
Well that’s almost the whole story.
The real source of the problem was the single game we had with the N64.
It was a bad cartridge!!!
Purchased another game of same title, and left this RCA to HDMI converter installed just to get highest signal quality… and the game “Cruising World” displays really well considering how ancient its software is.

I set this up for my Wii, that I don’t use (don’t judge me). Works like a charm. I’m so glad I found this over the $50 I would spend in store.

This works exactly as expected. I haven’t used it with anything older than my Wii which works with the 720p setting into a large screen monitor. I bought a simple USB wall charger/power source with the voltage described and altogether it was about $20 though I got a three pack of chargers.

Oddly enough, it did not work right for the first few minutes. I unplugged it and the re-plugged it, and after that it worked and has continued to work just fine, as advertised. So if you choose this converter, you may have to be patient and fiddle with it just a bit.

I got this adapter for my DVD player because it wouldn’t connect to my LG HD TV. This adapter is a lifesaver. All i had to do was buy an HDMI cord for it and hook up my Video/Audio Cables (Red,white,Yellow cables) and boom! I was watching my DVD’s in 5 minutes.

This is as easy to use convert. Attach your cables to your device like normal then to the convert. Then grab your favorite hdmi cable and plug into the box and tv and off to the races. This is no going to improve your image at all. If anything it will make it worse since you are going to upscaling most images.
