Honestly, I don’t know. But I don’t think it would work. Soundbars usually connect to the audio output jacks on a TV. And this converts incoming RCA signals to HDMI.
When you acquire a blue screen it means you must use the input button on your remote to switch between inputs, like input 1 or 2 or 3 or 4. You will see the input number on screen as you press input button. You can find input button on cable remote or use TV remote both should have input button. Hope this resolves your issue.
It comes with a power cord but no adapter. So you still have to find a way to power it on.
Yes
It’s powered through the USB cable, spec’ed at 1 A. For ten, if close together, I would suggest using powered USB hubs.
DO NOT BUY. It doesn’t work
Highly doubtful. Both VCR RCA ports and HDMI computer ports are output ports. This adapter is designed to convert RCA output into HDMI format so the HDMI formatted info can enter another device’s input port.
Yes.
I hooked up a DVD player to my android tv so I would say yes.
I use this with an old VHS/DVD player that will convert VHS tapes to DVD. It works fine but the video quality is just OK.
dont know
I’d have to say no. This device converts RCA cables so it can be played on an HDMI tv. That’s it. It will not change one audio channel to another. Consider that the while and red RCA cables being swapped would simply change the right and the left as it would if plugged into any RCA tv terminals.
I used mine to hook up an old VCR to HDMI on tv and it works just fine

I finally upgraded my TV going to 4k, I was disappointed when I hooked up my recordable DVD player to my TV as the screen was not full; as the 720 p on the 4k TV picture frame cut out 40% of the possible TV picture. Here comes this device. Easy to connect. And worked beautifully! Screen through the DVD recorder was now showing up in full screen and in 1080 picture quality. The only thing a buyer needs to be aware of is the devise power comes from the USB cord provided. What should be obvious make sure you have a USB slot available to power the device. And make sure you have an HDMI cable and a slot for the HDMI to go to. Then hook up your old school devices and view them in full 1080p!
I have been trying to get the best picture possible from a Sega Genesis model 2 and have gone through about a half dozen upscalers. Then I stumbled onto this one in my search and bingo! I tried scart cables and converters and while the color quality was slightly better it was not great. The first thing to note is, do not plug this in to your TV’s USB port it does not provide enough power. If you get this and your picture looks green you do not have enough power. While the picture is not perfect it is 100% better than many others on the market. If you combine this with a scanline generator it is off the hook perfect. This is convenient because it uses a standard Genesis model 2 AV cable. I thought a lot of the positve reviews on Amazon were fake but they are not and with Amazons return policy you have nothing to lose.
Well, if you have some old game consoles and such that still use the RCA RWY connectors, then this is for you. It will let you connect your devices to an HDMI input on your new, modern, smart TV. It is working fine and gives me a nice clear screen with no static or problems. Good solution!
For some reason, I cannot connect my Sega Genesis to my 4k tv via the composite video/audio ports so I bought this device and it works like a charm! Initial setup took less than a minute and now all I need to do is switch my TV input to the corresponding HDMI port and I’m reliving my childhood in seconds 🙂
Don’t judge, but I still love my WiiFit. My new TV didn’t have enough RCA ports for it (since my DVD player also is old and doesn’t have an HDMI connector), so I ordered this gadget to hook up the Wii. It works great – just know that you do need an HDMI cable and a power source (like a USB input on the TV or elsewhere – it doesn’t come with an adapter) for this to work properly. It’s very useful and I’m glad to be reunited with my Mii.
We stumbled across our old Sega Dreamcast in our basement, and wanted to see if we could connect it to our brand new 65″ Fire TV Omni. This device works like a charm.
It sends the picture stretched to 16:9, but this specific TV can override that input to 4:3. Stereo sound passes through from the Sega through this device through the TV to the ARC soundbar without any problems, and there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable input lag playing old-school games through this device.
If you’re worried about it stretching your source, check your TV’s input settings. If you can force an input device to 4:3, this will do everything you need.
Got the little box in the mail and installed it immediately. As soon as I put the first disks in the changer the video popped up on the tv super clear. Since it’s in the back of the entertainment cabinet I can’t turn on and off so it’s just going to run 24/7. We’ll see how that goes, but at the moment, no heat and no deviation in the picture quality.
Need new TV. They don’t come with RCA inputs so I purchased this to convert to HDMI. Did need to purchase a USB Power Hub to make it work. Made the connections and picture came up good. Make sure you have the right output set (720/1080) or you won’t see a picture. Got an e-mail from the seller letting me know of the 18 month warranty and their willingness to help if I have any problems.
The product came with the necessary cables except for the power supply. An extra standard-to-mini HDMI cable would have allowed me to use an open HDMI port for power, since the converter has to be powered, but this isn’t a major problem since I had one lying around. The converter allowed us to watch 30-year-old VHS tapes of our family and I don’t know if it was the converter, but the quality of the images was remarkably good.
I purchased this for my Nintendo 64 with composite out only. I had no trouble connecting up to my new Samsung TV.
I powered the converter on first then turn on the game console.
There was no degradation in the video quality. Actually it was better quality.
Worked great for me with a 5 volt 1 amp corner store phone charger.
The power cable comes with it.
You need to use your own low cost phone charger, 5 volts DC…happy customer.
