After the remote on my cheap Insignia Fire TV stopped working, I started using the app on my phone to control the TV. That was frustrating at best, annoying most of the time. I was hesitant at first to order a new remote, having little faith that it would work reliably. I was surprised that after adding batteries, everything worked the FIRST time. It may very well be that some of the special channel buttons are problematic but I hardly ever use them. It was a very pleasant surprise.

I bought this remote as a replacement when the original remote that came with my Toshiba Fire TV suddenly stopped working. This replacement worked immediately as I put batteries into it. No need to program the remote to the tv or anything. Just pop batteries in and it started working with my TV instantaneously. Great replacement, I just wish I could customize the other two buttons on the remote so that they could go to whatever app I customized it to go to. Other than that, its a great replacement remote 👍🏼

ITS PERFECT

Remote worked great right out of the box. A couple of the preset channels didnt work properly as stated on other reviews. No big deal, I rarely used them anyways and the couple I do use work just fine.
