I own a CS540 and use it for Webex, MS Teams, Skype, softphone, etc. If you cannot get the mic working on this RJ9 device, then you’ll need to order Plantronics/Jabra USB dongle: APU-75, which is what I have. With it I can walk around the house and yard while on conference calls, thanks to DECT 6.0. I don’t know if it’s works with Plantronics Hw510, I have C054. But it seems to work with any Plantronics headset that has the phone jack. Just have to mess with the dials underneath.
I have this item plugged into the USB Port on my laptop into a Plantronics wireless headset. It works great. However, I don’t know if that helps you or not. I would suggest checking with the seller for compatibility. Good luck

If the noise is on the other end of the call, people listening you, you might try adjusting the microphone input level on the laptop or PC. Same goes for you hearing noise from others, could be a level issue. Hard to guess without knowing the nature of the noise.

I got this in hopes that I could keep using my plantronics wireless headset for calls on my laptop. I was skeptical at first because of the price. But it works perfect. I have a CO52 Plantronics wireless headset. I just plugged the cords and turned on the headset and it works perfect. I tested the volume and sound quality and am super pleased.
I purchased to adapt my Jabra Pro 920 to my laptop for use with VoIP services such as Skype for Business and WebEx running on my PC. The USB Headset adapter works great! You simply plug the RJ9 connection from your headset into the adapter and plug the USB connector into your PC. It’s that easy. I was considering buying another wireless headset to adapt to PC for around $200. This product saved me around $185! If you have a high quality headset for a regular telephone connection and want to use with PC, this is the product to get. Surprisingly, Jabra doesn’t sell anything like it or even tell you such a product will work…
This is fantastic. I have a wireless planstronic headset that plugs into a regular landline, well when my project changed at work and we needed to be able to take calls thru the computer instead of the landline I was worried I wouldn’t be able to use my wireless headset. But then after some research I found this item and it worked so well and its a plug in play which is awesome
I bought this item to use with a Plantronics C053 that had been connected to my office desk VOIP RingCentral phone. I’m currently in a temporary office with no ethernet hardwiring and I wanted to find a way to still use my headset for calls. My PC is connected via Wifi and this adapter plugs in via USB. I connected the other end of the adapter to my headset and my PC which runs Win10 Pro immediately recognized it and it was ready to go right way. I had to make a few tweaks to my PC settings and the RingCentral App on my PC to select the headset as my microphone and speaker but that was about it. After a week it’s still working well.
I got this because I wanted my old desk phone headset to use for teams calls etc that I use now instead when returning to the office. It was plug and play and instantly connected. I’ve tried it on three models so far and will try it on others here at the office too. They removed the landline phones from the office and we have a lot of nice headsets not being used. Awesome option to get them back up and running again for calls.
Works fairly well so far, depending on your headset and what software (Skype for me) you will have to play with the settings to get the mic to work. Works fairly well once set up and save me from buying another expensive headset.
My company switched from an old landline phone system to MS Teams. My old CS55 headset works as well as it did on the old system. I have to answer from the computer screen, but that’s not a problem. I also tried it on my personal laptop running Linux Mint. Teams and the headset work just as well.
I was hesitant this would work for my Jabra 9450 series wireless headset, since I did not see it under the capability list, but it works!! I was so excited! Back to a working headset! Fast shipping too
This adapter does exactly what the $50 one does at a way better price point so I gave it a try and it does exactly what’s needed
I bought this for my Plantronics headset that I used on my office phone. Now I needed to have all my calls diverted through a new software that uses my computer. Instead of buying a new headset this conversion cable did the trick. Works great, easy to install.
