Yes, definitely works with this TV. I have it, but it smaller in size from the original remote came with the TV and the keys close to each other. This not an issue though.

Info About SAMSUNG TV Remote Control BN59-01199F by Samsung (Reviews From Amazon)
My 1 year old son loves remotes. We searched our entire house (along eith multiple other people) for 2 weeks searching for our original remote. The day after receiving this one in the mail, we found the original. Inside of a ziplock freezer bag box.
But, this one works great and now we have an extra in case our little houdini strikes again.
So… I really enjoy having my Samsung Smart TV. I was displeased when my kids were too rough and broke my remote.
My kids shared last week, “MOM, the remote doesn’t work anymore.”
I calmly asked, “Did you change the batteries?”
I get a short, “Yessssss, mom.” Husband later tells me, “Your dang kids broke the remote.”
I said “No biggie, they are not too bad priced on Amazon.” I ordered it, it arrived approximately 13 minutes ago. I placed my old batteries to just check real quick in the new remote. The damn thing would not work either. So now, I’m thinking the tv is being lame…. then I decide to go grab new batteries. old remote just needed batteries, just to be sure. Just like magic, I now have a functional spare and original remote. 😂
I bought this for my Samsung TV as the original remote has been lost for some time. I was skeptical that it would pair without any programming. Low and behold, all I did was put batteries in the remote and then point it at the TV to turn it on. It worked immediately! I’m very happy because I had been using my Xfinity remote to power on/off the TV as well as volume control but that’s about all I could do. It’s nice to have a functional remote again so that I can perform other features such as use the Smart TV functions. I was surprised that this remote is also affordable. I was able to buy the brand new one which came wrapped up new in package just as described.
Got a Samsung TV made in the greater part of the past decade and either broke or lost your remote? – Well, buy this. Want a smaller version of the remote you already have? – Buy this. It’s the real deal, changes your channels, input, your volume, and a bunch of other stuff you probably will only have to mess with once. Only thing it doesn’t do is make coffee.
On a rather unrelated note, I’m sort of baffled as to why it features braille next to three of the buttons, but I’m sure someone will likely chime in and let us all know why this is necessary on a television remote control. Seems about as logical as braille on a drive-thru ATM keypad, but for some reason there are those little bumps next to the power, channel up/down, and volume keys.
Long review made short: This remote control works amazingly and most likely has features that the original remote for your TV didn’t have. Some of the buttons just might be useless for you, but better to have and not need, than not have at all. Can’t beat the price, either, especially when it comes to an actual official remote control replacement. I couldn’t be happier with it.
My TV remote was misplaced because I was using the cable remote for the TV. I decided I couldn’t use some of the features for the TV remote , so I bought a new TV remote which has everything I need if I want to use the TV remote to go through all the features. I bought a sound bar and the sound bar speakers were being showed on the TV as working, but no sound was coming out That is why I bought the remote , to see if I could use the HDMI hookup since cable took that port that the Samsung bar is suppose to use. I still am having trouble with the sound bar sound but the Samsung remote is great.
When the remote on my Samsung TV went out, I tried a number of alternatives: phone apps, universal remotes people had lying around plus one cheaper remote advertised as "Samsung". None was satisfactory. Some never worked. Some worked but had to be refreshed with the code every day or two. Some controlled some functions but not others. The one designed for Samsung worked great out of the box, but was incredibly flimsy and stopped working after a couple of weeks.
This one appears to be a real Samsung remote, anyway it’s the same quality as the one that came with the television. After about six weeks of struggling with second-rate remotes, I was tempted to replace the TV. But this one works great and saved me a ton of money. It worked immediately out of the box (after I inserted two AAA batteries that is), no nonsense with codes. Every function worked, and worked with one button press. The buttons have a firm feel, you know when you’ve pressed it. The batteries go in easily and fit tightly.
This is a superior product in a category mostly filled with junk.
I’ve owned my Samsung smart TV for about 4 years and have several problems with it. Within the first 15 months I had to have the power cord replaced and it was a struggle with Samsung to get that taken care of. A month ago, I suddenly started having issues out of the blue with the E-Guide suddenly appearing and not going away. Even after changing the batteries in the remote and working with Samsung tech support nothing seemed to resolve the issue. My TV is now 4 years old and i didn’t want to replace it Tech support didn’t suggest a new remote. I didn’t figure it was the remote until I took it with to try on my mother’s tv. It did nothing. I then tried it on some TV’s in my local BJ’s and the same error suddenly appeared on the screens. I decide on buying this one because I didn’t want to try dealing with Samsung directly. So far it seems to be working well and it fixed the problem. It’s exactly the remote I had to replace.
This was probably the only smart tv remote control ORIGINALLY BY SAMSUNG that I could find and I searched everywhere, including Walmart, Target and other major retailers. None had it. Everyone has all pirpose remote controls, but not the BN59 model that I specifically wanted. So thank you Amazon!
The other good thing about the delivery is that I ordered it at the dead of the night (2 a.m.) when my original remote stopped working all of a sudden, and got this delivered by 5 pm on the same day (though for $2.99 extra). This was really, really helpful as I couldn’t even turn the tv on without a remote and it was really frustrating. I needed something on that very day, and Amazon came to my rescue with a same day delivery. And this I think was the best part. So thanks aga8n Amazon.
The only disappointing part is that it seemed like a renewed product when I unpacked it, yet it was sold to me as a NEW one. I am not complaining due to the aforementioned reasons, but I must say I was a little disappointed about it. Hopefully the product will last.
This is now the second remote control for my tv that I’ve had to buy. I don’t know where they wind up, they just disappear into the void.
I got this one, put the batteries in, aimed it at my TV and *poof* instant on.
I’m going to use nail polish and paint it neon yellow, or perhaps use florescent orange duct tape. Maybe that will help me find this one in the future when I misplace it. Seriously: can’t they make skins for these? Or all remotes?

Quite honestly, this is about my fourth remote control I have purchased. It’s not because of the poor quality, but because of the poor quality of my husband and kids in keeping the remote where I can find it. How do you lose a remote repeatedly? I have a feeling when we move, we’re going to have about seven remotes. Regardless, a great, inexpensive alternative to getting off the couch to change the channels. It’s the same quality as the one that came with the TV. No programming needed, just put in the batteries and you’re good to go. Until your family loses it, yet again.
