Yeah! I do it all the time. I’m a teacher, I put a million little things in and cut when I’m done! I was just doing it last night with like 10/12 little pieces of paper per sleeve.

Is a paper pouch included to hold the item to be laminated as it moves through the machine?
No. These sheets are designed for heat to bond them together. Without the heat, bonding will not take place.
Not as far as I know no. The one that had issues was an off brand and it wasn’t ventilated properly and overheated. It’s like all technology it can get hot if it’s not used properly or is over used.

If you think your going to have an issue like that make sure it’s sitting on a non flammable surface so it can’t trap the heat. I’ve had my Scotch Laminator for the past two years and not a problem one, except trying to use cheap laminator sheets in it, then I started having problems. As long as I stayed in brand I had no problems at all. Sometimes the cheap sheets are just that made with a cheaper plastic acetate that can cause issues.
I’m really not sure. I have a purple cow laminator.
I don’t see why not, I can use different brands with my machine.
3ml
Sometimes you have to click on a Couoh or sometimes the sheets begin at $18 and go up depending on amount
Hi, I do laminate flash cards. It’s a little tricky, but can be done. As the pouch goes through, I hold on to pieces that tend to slide down. The laminator moves very slow, so it works out. I mostly use it for small things that I don’t want to heat up and use the school laminator for.
No you don’t have to use Scotch laminating sheets. You can use the other brands.
They work great with my laminator…and it isn’t a Scotch brand laminator.
It depends on the company, sale time and which country it is coming from. I had that issue too until I tracked down the other options tab on the description page. The heaviest cardstock I used is 40lb. and it held well.
They are pouches that you open up and place something inside so both sides get laminated.
Info About Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches, 200-Pack, 8.9 x 11.4 Inches, Letter Size Sheets, Clear, 3-Mil (TP3854-200) (Reviews From Amazon)
I’ve been laminating everything in sight since I got this thing. I had been eyeing a laminator for some time for my studio, but didn’t think I’d use it enough to justify the cost or space. Then I started helping to homeschool my grandson when his preschool shut down for the pandemic. It’s great for making items that he can work with many times. Along comes Halloween and I’ve now made all kinds of decorations that will carryover for many years. Time to get started on Thanksgiving, then Christmas. I’m on a hot roll, so to speak.
Look into her googly eyes and tell me you don’t want one of these – I dare you!
Not much of a laminating person, but I needed to put up some signage that will go both indoor and outdoor and this little laminator is perfect for my needs. Just remember:
IT TAKES 5 MINUTES TO WARM UP!!
(The Ready Light Will Come On)
As someone not used to laminating I didn’t realize this, but it makes perfect sense. It warmed up actually in less than 5 minutes and from there it was a total breeze.
I highly recommend for anyone out there who needs a good laminator – I hope this helps!
We started buying these in 2014 and have reordered them 7 times in the last 7 years. My wife uses them at school and has never had any problem with them. She has used over 1100 of the 8.9 x 11.4 and they stay together and hold up quite well in the classroom. We tried the cheaper brands and they were no comparison to Scotch.
Purchasing a couple hundred laminating sheets in the store seemed ridiculously expensive. When I found these, I was a little concerned that I may be sacrificing quality for quantity. Considering I could return them if I hated them, I decided to buy them.
The packaging surprised me a little bit, only bc I am not use to everything from Amazon being packaged well. They arrived in a bag, inside this box. Inside the box is a regular 200 count box of Scotch Laminating sheets.
I laminate constantly for teaching materials. I have not had any issues with bubbling or curling. They are easy to use and easy to run through the machine.
Even though I feel like it goes without saying, Ill say it just in case…these are for the laminating sheets you use with a laminating machine. These ARE NOT self laminating. You MUST have a machine to use them.
I am a preschool teacher and I need to laminate things all the time. With our budget the way it is, I need something that I can buy myself and for a good price. 200 sheets at this cost is perfect for what I need. I am constantly using these for my teaching materials and for student work. It holds up well against the children and even does well with dry erase/wet erase markers. I recommend wet erase markers over dry erase, but that is just me. This lamination also does well with tape, velcro, or sticky tack without it falling off. It actually adheres to it pretty well. Love it!
I was so excited, I just bought a Scotch brand laminator for our homeschool classroom, and wanted to laminate ALL THE THINGS!!!! I was able to find this box deeply discounted through the Amazon warehouse because the original packaging was pretty damaged. Because of that the cost was less than half of what they usually charge for a huge quantity!
The Scotch brand laminating sleeves have always been wonderful through our use, we typically buy the letter sized pouches because we can do standard documents, but they can also be cut down for smaller sized things and I’ve not noticed the seal separating on anything yet.
And I know these aren’t the whiteboard marker erasable version, but we have used them as write on/wipe off pages for things like multiplication and division charts, cursive handwriting practice, and other things without them being damaged by the whiteboard markers at a lot cheaper cost.
Definitely recommend these laminating sleeves whether you’re able to find a discount version or not
I am a teacher and I need to laminate things all the time specially my flashcards and for 200 sheets at this cost is perfect! I am constantly using these for my teaching materials.
Great price, on time delivery …..I’m happy!
I purchased the Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches, 8.9 x 11.4-Inches, 3 mil thick, 200-Pack for use with my Scotch thermal laminator, and they have worked great. I am a teacher and I often have the need to laminate different activities for the students to use. Having these sheets handy are great, and they allow me to create things which can be saved for years to come.
Using the sheets is a very easy process, and the sheets are also of great quality. I have laminated regular paper as well as cardstock in these sheets, and have never had an issue. Both always come out looking amazing. The sheets are crystal clear and very shiny. They melt perfectly and rather quickly. Aligning the sheets is easy and effortless. It is very easy to place the papers inside the sheets and I have not experienced and wrinkles or bubbles.
Bottom line is this is a great product that I use weekly. I am constantly reordering this product and thankful to always have them on hand for quick use. I highly recommend this product and would not give it anything other than five stars.
Could you all please lay off on the limit quantity, I AM A TEACHER ! Making learning binders for kids during this pandemic! I am constantly laminating and will get a better deal from ordering on Amazon! Is there a way that you all can stop limiting my quantity PLEASE !
Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches are the only brand of laminating I use. I have been using this product for over 7 years and I have never had an issue. The pouches are thick, but not too thick that is does not slide through my mini laminator. It protects all of the materials I have laminated. I still have products I laminated years ago and they are still being used in my classroom till this day. These materials have passed through the hands of many elementary students, and they still hold up well.
My only negative is that after a while the edges do come apart and also it does not handle very thick paper well; for example a thick card stock. Overall, this is a great product and I highly recommend it.
