However, I have been using them since November of last year and they have never caused me any discomfort from regular use or even what I consider extreme use (8 hours perhaps). The foam is NOT the softest foam that you can imagine but enough padding is present so that you don’t have any issues of the plastic touching the ear and irritating it, etc.
First check that your headphones are connected to the computer-Setting -Devices- In Settings click on Time and language-Click on Speech- Go to set up microphone and see if that lets you dictate to text

The Sennheiser Leatherette ear pads should do the trick! See link below.
Sorry, I don’t know. I use one on an MBP and a Win 10 box and have never had that happen. Sorry.
The windscreen for the Sennheiser SC 60 USB ML is sold separately as an accessory. It is currently not offered on Amazon. However, if you search Sennheiser 504362 you may purchase this product from another website.
Yes, I have used them with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.
Not sure I understand your question. The headset has a wired coming into one side with the microphone. The opposite end of the wire terminates with a USB connector.
This USB headset provides audio path signal from PC/Lap to User. If Citrix / VMWare requires audio : send/receive on certain applications this should do the job for you.
no, usb connectivity only
This headset works perfectly with my Dragon software.
This will be wrapped in the plastic bag.
I have not used it specifically for Webex, but it has worked for me on several other teleconferencing platoforms…Zoom, Skype, etc. It is USB ported so plugs right into the computer. I love mine
No. I use it in a school segment.
What kind of mac doesn’t have a usb port?

I have just finished testing my new Sennheiser SC 60s, the sixth headset I have purchased in two years, and (at least on day one) they are far and away the best I’ve ever purchased for under $40. Specifically:
* In music playback, they have a subjectively full-frequency response (caveat, this was not evaluated with equipment and, like everyone over 25 I do not have full-frequency hearing).
* Sound isolation is moderate, as expected from on-ear rather than over-ear headphones. I wouldn’t use these for high-fidelity music reproduction.
* Voice recording quality, when mic boom is positioned just outside outer corner of the mouth, was excellent both for recording and over a JoinMe web conference.
* Microphone noise cancellation is outstanding. During playback of a voice recording made three feet away from a fan, voice was clear, but close listening was necessary to hear the sound of the fan. Recording while one foot from the fan, with wind noise plainly audible during the recording, was reduced at playback to just a mild and undistracting sound audible behind the clear voice.
* Microphone directionality permitted loud typing away on a noisy keyboard to be only barely audible behind a clear voice during playback.
* Comfort is good. These headphones sit gently on the ear, but I would not want to wear them all day.
* Compatibility: Headset was instantly recognized by Windows 10 computer; no other platform tested.
Caveat: While these are the best headphones I have ever used for web conferencing, I don’t know how long these qualities will hold up over time. I plan to update this evaluation in a year.
Probably the best lower cost headset available.
I recently ordered and compared more than 7 headsets I tried recently in order to find the best Skype and screencast making headset.
In the $50 range, nothing beats this. Leaves Logitech, Plantronics, Microsoft and others in the dust. Also generally better and hardier than the Sennheiser consumer line headsets such as the PC36, which were previously my favorites. You get far less dropouts and more overall vocal presence. Perfect for a call center.
If you want better, you’ll have to look at the SC260 and SC660 at double and triple the price. If you use a headset all day long, the extra price of the SC660 may be worth it as it’s super light and extra plush. Very executive like.
This headset, and the others in Sennheisers pro range, are also all available with a single earpiece. They all end in -30 instead of -60. For example, the single earpiece version of this one is the SC30.
A life saver!!!
While working remotely, conference calls via Zoom/WebEx/etc have been very challenging due to bad reception/breaking/lost connection. I was using a 6-year-old bluetooth headphone, and suddenly experiencing the issues: not just lost connection, but system shutdown – blue screen of death in Windows 10 due to bluetooth connection issue (WDF-Violation). I can bear lost connection issues, but not the system shutdown…
Why I choose USB version? Although I like wireless devices, I want worry-free simple devices for work.
Plug it in and ready to go (after some adjustment in windows setting: headset and mic volume setting).
Very light and comfortable for all day usage – well, that would be like since nobody works 24-hour straight. Due to very light construction, it does not have much constraints on your ears nor head while you are on the call. Not puffy ear pads, but good enough.
Sound quality is superb – both hearing and speaking!!! I can hear what others are saying clearly as well as my speech. Others can hear my speech clearly with very good noise isolation thanks to Sennhesier mic (mic will pick the sound from your mouth, not from the surrounding). This is not an audiophile headphone, but okay to listen any music without switching the headsets.
Control function is another great feature: you can easily control the volume of sound as well as muting the mic instantly.
Overall, this is the most effective headset with a mic at very affordable price. If you are looking for a headset with a mic for remote working/learning, this would be your great companion.
Be safe and positive!!!
In these days of working from home and having a dog that likes to bark at anyone that she sees out the window, I needed a noise canceling microphone. I did my research and decided that these were the best ones since I didn’t feel like remembering to recharge it and was looking for something light and comfortable to wear for eight hours a day. The volume controls, mute button, and hang up button, work well with Microsoft Teams. Mute button is the most useful one. The most impressive is how well the noise canceling microphone works. My dog can be barking at full volume 6-10 feet away, and the caller on the other end doesn’t hear any barking at all! Just this fact alone makes it worth it! The USB connection is nice and secure and works well with my Windows 10 laptop without requiring any drivers.
I wanted to good noise cancelling microphone to make audio recordings in my office.
The USB choice seemed superior, since the microphone maker can digitize the audio immediately with the A-to-D of choice, with their best matching circuit . I also felt a headset would keep the mike at a consistent distance from my mouth from day to day, and when the head turns.
I tried a Logitech phone center headset, and while the quality was quite good, you could tell some signal processing was going on to optimize for the telephone. I didn’t want that.
So far, this Sennheiser is doing everything well, with what I believe is true frequency response in the microphone, with very good noise cancelling action.
You are paying money for the best microphone, not earphones, which are only OK.
I ordered these at the beginning of the pandemic (March 2020) and have been using them for hours during the workday ever since. They are comfortable, even for extended wear, and the sound quality is spectacular. I have not had issues with the drivers at all, just plug them into a computer and they work. I am happy to say my original pair is still going strong, after 15 months of heavy use. I did notice that the wire that runs through the plastic headpiece is not stuck on well, and one section came nearly all the way out of the groove it was housed in. I fixed it though, by filling the groove with black sugru. Not only did it hold very well, the color match was so perfect the headset looks like it was manufactured that way. Yes they could have done a little better sealing the wire in, but even so, I still bought a second pair of these for my house as I really enjoy using them.
The headset fits well and is comfortable. It’s plug and play with my Apple laptop and works properly through my keyboard’s USB port. Having the remote is very useful, especially for muting the mic and it has saved me from embarrassment during web conferences from home. The headphones are better than expected but not audiophile quality (I’m sure nobody expects this to be). Also keep in mind that these do not block out outside sound.
Perhaps the only downside (a minor one) is the short mic. It is not long enough to rest directly in front of my mouth, but turning up the mic input on my computer allows it to pick up the normal volume of my voice and have it audible on the other end.
Other than that, the microphone is excellent and does not pick up excessive noise from the background. I have an air purifier set to the highest speed that is always turned on sitting just 4 feet away from me and it is not picked up by the microphone. I’ve tested this with a voice recording software and listened to the playback in silence (with the air purifier turned off). Just for comparison, I have an Olympus WS-823 voice recorder and that device picks up the sound of the air purifier from the other end of the room; a distance of 15 feet.
In essence, if you are looking for a headset with an emphasis on mic quality and comfort because you are planning on wearing this for extended periods of time, this is a very good choice and perhaps the best choice in this price range. If a sound quality is more important than the microphone, maybe a gaming headset would be a better choice.
I use a MacBook for work. Working at home. So this works perfect. I always love sennheiser products. It didn’t show up in a box. Which surprised me but no big deal.
This headset is not quiet as some would say. The mic volume is good. The noise cancellation is great. I like it. No complaints. The build quality is ok but this is what you should expect from a product of this price point. The rule of thumb is to take care of it and always have a backup ready just in case. I like the controls
I was not expecting much improvement but wow this headset is amazing at noise cancellation. People can hear me clearly and they can’t hear any of my background noise. You can see for yourself when you check the microphone level to see how much noise it cancels out. For me a push on the touchpad was being very loud to the other party because the laptop was using a in-built microphone. However, when I switched to this headset, the same push on the touchpad didn’t even register in the sound level. It’s a bit uncomfortable to wear all day probably but I just make a habit of taking it off after the call ends and it works fine.
Now, let it be known that I am not an audiophile. I don’t do a great deal of music listening, and I don’t thrive on audio devices. My knowledge of audio is (maybe) a bit above average, but I’m no guru or specialist/expert. However, I am fully aware of how devices compare to others I’ve tried. The responsiveness of this headset if far and away the best performing device I’ve used in recent memory. The inline controls respond immediately, even on my bogged-down corporate laptop. I can’t believe how light weight and comfortable this device is. The sound is crystal clear, and the noise cancellation needs to be heard to be believed. For a unit that does not completely cover the outer ear, I am not bothered, at all, by the sounds of a busy lab around me. For the price, this headset is an excellent value, and I highly recommend them to anyone that requires a set for business purposes. I have not used them for entertainment, so I can’t offer an opinion in that respect. For daily use at work, however, they are without compare
