Facts About Skip Hop Baby Activity Center: Interactive Play Center with 3-Stage Grow-with-Me Functionality, 4mo+, Explore & More

Which songs does it play?

Glad we’re not the only ones who can’t figure them out! They’re all jazzy versions of nursery rhymes.
Red: itsy bitsy spider
Orange: ?? … Glad we’re not the only ones who can’t figure them out! They’re all jazzy versions of nursery rhymes.
Red: itsy bitsy spider
Orange: ??
Mustard: a weird skip to my Lou? Only the last bit resembles it, the beginning is unrecognizable
Yellow: Knick knack paddy whack

Regardless, my kiddo loves them. They all make fun sounds for you to duet with when a song is playing. Red is a dj scratching noise and our personal fave lol

Can you fold this up for storage? How big is it folded?

Unfortunately no it doesn’t fold up, it’s pretty small compared to most activity centers though it’s not very big , however , if you are looking for one that folds I suggest the skip hop jumparoo that one folds up it doesn’t have a base for their legs but that’s really the only difference

Is it pvc and bpa free

Yes, it is PVC free, Phthalate Free and BPA Free

Does it really take 1-2 months for this product to ship?

My daughter was able to get hers using Amazon Prime in two days.

What is the weight of shipping box?

The Explore & More Baby’s View 3-Stage Activity Center weighs 17 pounds in the original packaging.

My son has extremely chunky thighs, which prevents him from being able to fit in seats made for babies his age. Will the leg holes fit chubby babies?

I would like to say yes his legs will fit but how comfortable he’ll be is the question. Worse case scenario, if it doesn’t you can return it.

Does the seat have elastic in it to make it stretchy? How much bouncing can really be done in this as compared to a jumperoo?

the seat does have a ton of “give”. the jumping is really helped/enabled by the foot pedestal that has straps that dangle on an angle. (also worth the note, the pedestal can later turn this into a cruiser or activity table). my 6 month old daughter jumps in it constantly and when she needs a break, she just rests on … the seat does have a ton of “give”. the jumping is really helped/enabled by the foot pedestal that has straps that dangle on an angle. (also worth the note, the pedestal can later turn this into a cruiser or activity table). my 6 month old daughter jumps in it constantly and when she needs a break, she just rests on it or holds herself in a stand position to play with her toys. she’s been in it since a little under 4 months old. i would say you get a few things in one here – but this can definitely be compared to the jumping that can be done in a jumparoo, and then some. a favorite in our house for sure. i put up a bunch of pictures when i posted my review. best of luck to you.

What is weight limit for this toy?

Hi! Weight limit is 28lbs.

Does this work well for smaller babies? My daughter is 4 months old and 12 1/2 pounds. We have a jumperoo, but the seat is way too deep for her.

The Skip Hop Explore & More Baby’s View 3-Stage Activity Center was designed for ages 4 months and older and up to 25 lbs for infants that are able to hold their head on their own.

Can i replace the piona it stop working?

For defective parts or product, please contact Amazon for a full replacement within 30 days of purchase. For defective parts or product more than 30 days after purchase, please contact Skip Hop directly at [email protected] or 888.782.9548. Thank you.

Is my 9-month old too old for this? She weighs 19 lbs.

no way. my daughter is 7 almost 8 months and she is obsessed. also, the removable foot pedestal can go where the seat is to create a cruise and play. i could imagine once she starts walking and i need 5 min, id still use the seat to keep her in place. i can see myself using mine for quite sometime. also, toys can be mo… no way. my daughter is 7 almost 8 months and she is obsessed. also, the removable foot pedestal can go where the seat is to create a cruise and play. i could imagine once she starts walking and i need 5 min, id still use the seat to keep her in place. i can see myself using mine for quite sometime. also, toys can be moved around and there’s room for other toys so you can always keep it fresh and new

When it becomes a table are there chairs you can buy?

Yes. Skip Hop Explore & More Kids Chairs

Can my baby use this product a lot?

Yes beginning at 4 months. It’s a life saver. The floor of it allows the baby to turn in all directions. My little one is 8 months old and still uses it. I will soon convert it to the table for pulling up.

How do you remove the clear piece? My baby smished a banana in it. If it cant be taken out thats a real bummer

I dont ink its removable
May have to contact manufacturer for that

Is this product really as good as advertised?

My grandbaby loves it! Also appears very sturdy.

This product is absolutely AMAZING !

This product is absolutely AMAZING ! I threw my 3 month old in the display model as a joke to raise my wife’s blood pressure and he* went nuts! and started playing with all the toys like crazy, he doesn’t sit up yet on his own so seeing everything from this view and having a slight support from the foot base was great for him. He started spinning himself around and going from toy to toy like a mad child. Everyone in the store had to stop and watch him and I had to buy it because I have never seen him so active and excited on his own.

Best investment I’ve made, it also turns into a table when he gets older. It’s made out of great sturdy material, So dads if you want to buy your son/daughter this Gold Gym membership to get a true workout, this is a solid buy!

I also think this will hands down enhance your child’s motor skill development.

We Call it the Poop Machine

This is amazing for all of the reasons included in the product description. Want to know what isn’t written there? In addition to serving as a great source of entertainment, and let’s be honest, giving mama a much needed hands-free break, this unit is basically a MAGIC POOP PRODUCER. My eight-month-old has struggled with constipation ever since she started on solids but a few minutes in this bad boy and, without fail, we have a special delivery. We literally call it the poop machine and we send her for a ride anytime she’s gone a day or so without a deposit. Best feature ever!

So yes, the design is very clean and sophisticated compared to most bouncers, the toys are easy to move around for a “different” play experience, and it’s awesome that it grows with the child. But it’s the poop factor that makes this item one of the best baby purchases ever. Yes, EVER! Everyone should have one of these. In fact, we originally bought a Fisher Prive Jumparoo and returned it for this one.

Love it

My baby was born with missing limbs and only one semi usable finger. Recently she has started getting frustrated when given toys since she is unable to grab things. I bought this for her when she was 2 or 3 months old for christmas. My main concern was that she would not be able to okay with tge attatchable toys or that they would require too much force to be played with. I out it together this morning and out her in it. Every single toy that it came with was easy to play with for her. I only wish the bottom were stretchy so she could jump

PROS:
– Great quality
– Easy to use toys
– Eye catching, gender neutral, not tacky colors
– Sturdy
– Grows with baby

Cons:
– Wish the base straps were stretchy so she could jump

Must-have for babies that like to be upright!

My 3 month old LOVES LOVES LOVES this! He has good head control and after a week of using this, we no longer have to stuff blankets around him to keep him upright – he’s got good enough control to stay steady. He’s a big baby (19 lbs!), and other seats didn’t work for him. He could barely reach the toys last week, but he’s getting to where he can grab them now. I think we will be using this for months. He’s so happy in it! It was so easy to assemble that my husband was in disbelief. We purchased “good condition” from amazon warehouse and other than the box it came in, the item is in brand new perfect condition.

**Update**
My son used this until he started pulling up and cruising and wasn’t as interested in sitting still so we converted it to a table and it’s perfect! Still getting good use out of it at 1 year old.

10 weeks old and he loves it…

My son absolutely loves this… he is only 10 weeks old and was already frustrated with not sitting up. He just didn’t want to be a regular baby anymore. So this seat helps him to set more upright (with supervision of course). He is happy and playing with each of the toys. The little keyboard is his favorite and he understands that he need to hit the keys to get the music to play. I love that all of the toys have suction cups and can be removable or movable. I look forward to the opportunity to have more items for purchase so that I can change up his toys. I also moved the base level much lower so that he will not try to stand too early. I plan to bring it up higher for him when his legs are stronger to handle it.

UPDATE: My boy is 19 weeks now and still loves this thing… he is in it for play time throughout the day. The only thing I wish is that Skip Hop would create more of a variety of toys to suction on to the table top. Anyways, this is amazing… so much so that I bought another one to put at grandma’s house as well… I love that my boy can use this for the years to come, that is really the great part about it.

Approved by our Boss Baby

We fondly refer to this activity center as our son’s “office.”

As a new mom, I could not for the life of me figure out what to do with my baby because I felt so guilty for ever putting him down. He also has a flat head, so I didn’t want to keep laying him in the crib.
Unfortunately, as the weeks went by, he got chunkier, and is now 99th percentile in weight and height.
I made this purchase and it is now one of the only things that I will grab if our house were on fire, besides my son, of course.

It was fairly easy to assemble, is pretty lightweight, and best of all, my son loves it! See photo for evidence. He started using it at around 4 months, when he was able to hold his head up pretty well. I said, “where’s the owl?” and he proceeded to smack the little green leaf with brute force, and we’ve been convinced that he’s a freaking genius prodigy ever since.

I love that he can rotate around the table in it. Once we finally realized the keyboard can be moved up top, we’ve had those four songs running through our heads all day, but we’re not even mad about it! The bumblebee bowl it came with has janky suction so we don’t use it, but that’s alright.

Most importantly, I can finally put my baby down beside the table and eat dinner without feeling incredibly guilty. Sure, I can’t binge-watch bad Netflix shows while eating meals anymore, since Boss Baby glances over at me every few seconds to make sure I’m being a decent parent, but my arms and stomach are just really thankful to be able to take a break once in a while. 🙂

My favorite baby gear

I’ve been through 3 excersaucers and 1 jumperoo with 2 babies. This is my favorite. I assembled it with no tools in 5 minutes! My 6 months old loves it! It looks super cool and minimalist. I wish my house looked as good as this thing does.

Worth the money

I wish I could give this more stars we love it!!!
It keeps my baby entertained and learning. It’s not bulky and it’s very easily moved from room to room.
This is not a jumper (I’m not sure why some people think it is.). It helps baby learn to balance and I love it more than a jumper my baby hates all the jumpers. I think they were too overwhelming.

I love that the seat can be removed for cleaning and I love that it can turn into table.
The only thing I’m not a big fan of is the hole that the piano leaves when you turn it into a table.
But I love how the toys are removeable and can be changed around. Love the colors as well.
Overall one of the best purchases I’ve made for my baby so far.

Great for 4 months+

We are very happy with this purchase! We started our daughter in this the day she turned 4 months and its become her (and our) favorite gadget for her. She had good head control at that point- they need to be able to hold their upper body up with some assistance. I haven’t seen many activity centers that start at 4 months and if they do, I would worry we would only use it for a month or so. This one evolves over time to help justify the cost.

The toys are simple looking but all have unique movements that challenge in different ways for different ages. The look of it is modern, clean and pleasing to the eye. Some activity centers are monstrosities.

While skip hop does not sell extra accessories, I did buy a sassy brand spinning wheel with a suction cup that suctions on to the table like the other toys that come with it. I actually like that I am able to add toys from other brands. Its easier to incorporate toys my baby actually likes that way. Its just another way its adaptable.

I agree with others that the bumblebee bowl does not have a very strong suction. It is a little pointless. Thats about the only negative I’ve run into.

Regardless, the bowl is not a huge deal. I am still very pleased with the purchase!

We LOVE this activity center!

Great company. Great product. If you’re on the fence about purchasing, just do it! You won’t regret it! My baby loves it and it’s a very attractive product. I love the music on the piano and baby girl loves pushing the keys. I bought the sassy wonder wheel and attached it also. It’s a great addition. I only wish skip hop had more additions because my baby is so high maintenance. Meaning she gets bored easily. Overall, I researched many activity centers and I’m very glad I chose this one. It was even easy to travel with. I just unclicked the legs from the table and it laid flat in my car. I’m very impressed and glad I chose this one! Money well spent!!!!

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Skip Hop Baby Activity Center is a fun way to encourage baby’s motor skills. As baby grows, the Activity Center encourages him or her to explore freely with child-safe 3-stage grow-with-me functionality. The Activity Center grows with baby up to 3 years, when baby is ready to transition to a more independent play experience. New vehicles, accessories and sensory toys introduce a fun new level of play to baby.
