Did you know that you can create a Stage Manager shortcut in macOS Ventura? It makes multitasking even more easier on Mac and allows you to quickly enable and disable this new macOS 13 feature!

How To Create Stage Manager Shortcut On Mac

  • 1. Open System Settings, from Dock or Spotlight.
  • 2. Scroll the left-sidebar, for Keyboards and click Keyboard Shortcuts.
  • 3. Select Mission Control in the left sidebar.
  • 4. Double-click on ‘none’ available next to the Turn Stage Manager on/off setting.
  • 5. Type the keys that you want to use as Stage Manager shortcut!
  • Tip: To create a combo press & hold the ‘option’ or ‘command’ key and press on a second key that you want to use with this shortcut!

    Make sure that you create an unique combo that’s not already in use by another feature!

Other macOS Stage Manager Shortcuts

Besides the On/Off keyboard shortcut you can also use the classic command + tab combo that switches between the current and the previous used app in Stage Manager.

Add Stage Manager To Menu Bar

You can also make this multitasking feature more accessible by showing it in the macOS Ventura menu bar:
Go for System Settings -> Control Center -> Stage Manager and select Show in Menu Bar.

Fact: The Stage Manager icon in the status bar depicts three vertical dots alongside a rectangle, as shown in the nearby image.

Tip: Stage Manager is also available in the macOS Ventura Control Center. Click the two overlaying pills available next to the Siri icon and you’ll notice the Stage Manager toggle, below Focus and next to Screen Mirroring!
