Please don’t…too many products have super bright led lights that disrupt room darkness and sleep for some people….so if anything, the low led light on this is a bonus.

This is a pretty good indication your outlet is not grounded. Check on some other outlets. I actually used this device around new home with old wiring to determine which ones had improper grounds and needed further investigation for improper grounding or GFCI.
UL STD. 498A would be a concern. 498 governs the plug and receptacle conforms to standard. A UL surge protector should confirm to UL1449.
I think that depends on how tight your outlet is set into the wall. Mine does not sag but it could sag if I were to put it in a different outlet in my home. Honestly I really love it and it looks chic against the wall rather than having a long surge protector!

In the instruction booklet (that came with it) it says 1680J.
I have my smart tv, and antenna, and a chrome cast plugged in with no problem.
One light lets you know the outlet is grounded and the other light tells you your devices are protected.
All I can say is that it has an American 110V plus assembly on it. If you have to put a European adapter on it for 240V…that is a risk you would take on yourself.
Yes, it is advanced and you can save on electricity

I wanted a multi-outlet surge protector for all of my TV stuff, that only used up one plug, but all I could find were either ones that took up both plugs, or those power strips which I didn’t want…AND THEN I FOUND THIS!!! Thrilled that finally someone made them like this. Nice and secure to the wall instead of floating around, hanging on the floor like the strips do. I need my top plug open as it’s connected to a wall switch as my bedroom’s only lighting source. THIS FITS THE BILL!!
I love it so much that if it proposed, I’d say YES! Nice looking and seems like good quality. A++
If your are a frequent traveler I recommended consider this. This small/compact little miracle.
I carry multiple devices with us and hotel rooms don’t always have enough outlets.
I charged all our phones, ipads, cameras, etc.; easy peasy. I loved it so much for traveling,
In the hand, this feels like a well built product and is a little bigger than the impression I had gotten when looking at it online. The receptacles are snug and plugs stay in securely. You do need something, as noted in the product pictures, to turn the devices plug 90 degree left or right; standard screwdriver shaft worked well. The unique need I had was to retain access to the other other receptacle in the outlet I wanted to use when this unit is plugged in, that is exactly what it allows. The USB ports charge nicely. A minor note, not worthy of a ding in the units rating, is that the green LEDs on the unit to notify you that it has power are dim. When the bright lights in the room I was using this device in were on, I couldn’t tell it was getting power. The units LEDs didn’t appear to be on. Make sure lighting is low/off to verify the LEDs on the unit are lit. Again, not a bad thing as bright power indicating LEDs are very annoying.
I have another that is similar in overall design but only three plug ins on one side and the power plug end has 2 usb ports in that end. This is much better. This is replacing the older bar type in the main bathroom. The older unit will go to the kitchen mostly for guests to use to charge phones or tablets with usb and apple cords hanging on it.
This design allows for moderate sized transformers to fit side by side. Also side-ways transformers may not interfere with an open plug in when used. The LED lights on it are very dim and really not strong enough to see in daylight without shading the lights, so at night it is not glaring at all. Overall the unit has a solid feel and gives more usable outlets than any other power adapter I have seen. Only change I can think of would be more amps for the usb ports [which is 3 amps divided between three ports depending on demand]. Would rather have one of the ports dedicated to 2 amps with the other two having 1 amp each. One amp is good for older phones and newer small rechargeable devices; newer phones that have wireless or rapid charging use more amps for a quicker charge. I have not tried to see how well it auto senses demand with two devices in usb.
I have a lot of appliances in the kitchen but few outlets! I bought one a month ago and am super happy with it, and ended up buying a second one. I hated how I had to constantly plug/remove appliances. I know having an extension cord was always an option but it added another accessory as an eye sore on the counter. I was also concerned about the high powered appliances and knew I needed a surge protector.
The first one: I constantly have at least 4 plugs and use the appliances at once often. One is even hooked up to my mini wine fridge which takes up most power. I have a light switch in the same outlet and this plug clears it without any issues. The lights are super helpful to know when they are grounded/protected too.
The second plug: I have the microwave, oven, and drying rack plugged in, testing the limit of the plug. So far no issues! I love how there are outlets on the sides so I can push the microwave as far back as possible too, creating more space.
Overall, great design and happy that it works well.
I bought this for my bathroom which has only two A/C outlets. If you are like me you have a lot of devices like electric toothbrushes, water picks, night light, shavers, etc. that need to be plugged in. Not to mention things that you may bring in the bathroom that could use a USB charging port. This gadget is the answer. This model has 6 A/C outlets and 3 USB ports for charging, more than enough for my needs. I was looking at another model on Amazon but fortunately I remembered to check the dimensions and realized that the other manufacturers unit would be too wide and cover the adjoining A/C outlet.
It appears well made and well designed. For example, it has a surge protection and it also pivots 90 degrees which enhances its versatility. There is only one item that I find fault with and its the two LED lights that are supposed to indicate whether the outlet is grounded and protecting your devices . The lights are too weak and barely visible when room lights are on. In fact, I thought the lights were broken until I turned off the bathroom lights and could see the faint green glow of the LEDs. Other than this, I’m totally happy with this purchase. Another big plus is that the information on the product’s Amazon webpage is thorough and detailed, so you will know exactly what you can expect and what you are getting.
Things to keep in mind: make sure the width and height of the outlet splitter will not interfere with anything else that might be plugged into the adjoining A/C wall socket. The outlet is 2″ wide, so as long as you do not have a power brick plugged in next to it, it should give you enough clearance. Although I did not use this for traveling, I have no doubt that it would be great for bringing on a vacation and it is small enough so that it can be easily taken with you.
If they would just fix the dim LED light and perhaps offer more color choices (currently white is the only choice), it would be perfect. Nonetheless, its still a 5 Star item!
This is awesome. We had just a standard two-plug outlet in our bathroom, but many appliances and electronics to plug in. So it was a constant juggling act between electric toothbrushes, hair dryers, cell chargers, space heater, etc…
This sucker is great. It takes up minimal space because the outlets are spread out on almost all sides of this item. I also love that it can twist to best fit your personal set up.
Took this on three trips so far too. Made life a lot simpler with a family of five. You’re luck to find a working outlet in a lot of hotels… so this contraption allowed the whole fam to charge phones, iPads, kindles, and other bluetooth devices.
The only thing I wish it did was someone retract the actual plug. When traveling, those suckers are sticking out, so a little cumbersome, but not enough to take a start away from this five star device.
we purchased this because with only one outlet in the bathroom things get messy so to speak.
i’ve gone through more of these type things over the years than i can count. some were top heavy and wouldn’t stay plugged in for long. others would allow some things to plug in but others wouldn’t fit due to the design. while others only had limited outlets and no usb ports.
this device is so well designed i have yet to find something i can’t plug into it. the blocks are versatile with directions, the usb ports on the front(no need for wall adapters) i love it! right now in ours we have an echo plugged in, an air deodorizer, a rechargeable razor and that still leaves several outlets unused. odd shaped things no problem, worst case just move one of the segmented blocks to get it right.
the quality of the device and materials used is top notch. it stays firmly in place. it doesn’t sag or pull out of the wall no matter what is plugged in. it isn’t obtrusive, almost looks like it was there part of the house from the get go.
i have a drawer full of old outlets i tried in that bathroom over the past decade and none ever gave me the results i was looking for. then i got this little wonder and could not be happier!
i couldn’t recommend this more highly!
I have seen several reviews saying how cheap and fragile this device is so I will keep an eye on it and hopefully mine will not break easily. I purchased this outlet splitter because the two outlets in my kitchen counter is not enough. I normally need to plug three or four devices at once because is really annoying to have to be unplugging and re-plug cables from the espresso machine, coffee grinder, the pressure cooker and the blender. I won’t be using ALL four devices at the same time and I don’t recommend it, but I do like that with this device I don’t have to UNPLUG the power cords.
If this item breaks on me I will come back and change the five star rating.
Perfect product! It’s so convenient and easy to use. It’s perfect for all plugs of computer, printer and monitor.
